Kevin and Moose try to find a place to have sex for the first time. They happily do, but are harassed by Moose's closeted father, Marcus, leading Moose to leave town and both boys heartbroken. Cheryl almost outs Moose and apologises after Toni tells her off. Toni gets a college interview with Highsmith College. Reggie is almost shot trying to rob his dad to pay off Gladys Jones.

- Foreshadowing: Josie talking about going to New York sets her up to leave for the spinoff Katy Keene.
- Green-Eyed Monster: It turns out that Marcus Mason had a serious crush on Tom Keller back in high school. But their friendship was damaged when he tried to kiss Tom and Incompatible Orientation kicked in. Marcus's parents had sent him to the Sisters of Mercy orphanage so the nuns can cure his homosexuality. When Marcus discovers that his son Moose is now seeing Tom's son Kevin, who looks just like his father did as a teenager, Marcus becomes intensely bitter to the point of taking on the role of the Gargoyle King and having the other RROTC boys abduct Kevin and Moose in an attempt to end their relationship.F.P.: (to Marcus) You want to destroy what you couldn't have.
- Inside Job: Reggie attempts to rob his father's dealership, but is shot at by two security guards he didn't know his dad had hired. He does get away with some money, however they're discoloured by ink.
- You Are Not Alone: Archie tells Josie this when she confides in him that she feels like she's pushed everyone away to achieve her dreams and now feels alone.
