Sultry Bangs

Sultry or seductive characters are often given eye-obscuring bangs that give them a sense of intrigue and mystery. The bangs are often styled to accentuate certain facial features or create a specific allure. The bangs can be long and tousled, framing the face and drawing attention to the eyes, which are commonly regarded as an attractive and seductive feature. The bangs can also be swept to the side, creating a flirtatious and coquettish look. Alternatively, they can be styled to have a sleek and polished appearance, lending an air of sophistication and confidence.

This trope has been popularized by classic film actress Veronica Lake, who showcased this hairstyle (at the time, it was called the "peek-a-boo") and created an image of sexiness and allure. These bangs are often associated with Femme Fatale, The Vamp, and other character archetypes that are known for using their sexuality and guile to get what they want.

See also Hiding Behind Your Bangs, which is when bangs are used to symbolize a character being asocial in some way or that they are hiding a part of themselves from the outside world.
