"The meaning of the rose only exists in our hearts..."
Teyvat has many laws, many of them include giving you a fuzzy feeling in its universe, both in the story and in various game mechanics or lore.

    General, Recurring, and Gameplay-Related Moments
  • One of Razor's idle animations has his Fighting Spirit showing up and petting his head, then Razor waves it good-bye, d'aww.
    • Furthermore, if you let this animation play while standing next to a dog, the spirit will wave to the dog before disappearing.
  • Short female characters will stick their arms out like an airplane when they run. For characters like Klee, Yaoyao and Sayu, it's plain cute fun. But for more tragic characters like Qiqi and Nahida, it's sweet to see them living in the moment.
  • Qiqi, a child zombie whose previous life was nothing but a tragedy, from dying as she missed her family, to losing her memories and her five senses and being an emotionless being. If her friendship level is high enough, she says she's getting a warm feeling inside. And it's not one of rotting and death, but a kind warmth in her heart, admitting she is happy. And when she sadly regrets she will forget you, she orders herself to remember you. For an emotionless zombie to feel happy, one can't deny the sweetness of her determination to remember the one she truly cares about.
  • The "meteor" that Zhongli summons from the sky? It's a luban lock, most definitely the one given to him by Guizhong, which she said contained her wisdom. So in a way, when Zhongli unleashes his special attack, he's calling down Guizhong from the heavens to help him.
  • Interacting with your companions in the Serenitea Pot can lead to several heartwarming moments, especially with high friendship levels:
    • Xiangling absolutely gushes about how much she loves adventuring with the Traveler and want nothing more than to continue doing just that.
    • Talking to Qiqi always has her begin with "I remember you." One of the options reveals she forgot about her notebook (her primary aid for remembering important details) and even thinks it's a person, yet the Traveler is so important to her that she's committed them to her already poor memory.
    • Tartaglia invites the Traveler to go on a trip with him to Snezhnaya with activities including ice fishing, snowball fights with his siblings, and homemade Borsch. In contrast to the icy reception he received earlier in their relationship, the Traveler is excited to do all of this with him.
    • With Mona, you have the option to tease her that she should leave before it gets too hard for her to adjust when she leaves... but you also have the option to invite her to stay. Mona is over-the-moon at the prospect of living in such a lovely place without having to pay rent. It can be nice to see her not having to worry about her living situation for once.
    Promotional Materials
  • The "A Winter Night's Lazzo" teaser:
    • The Harbingers are frequently described as only tolerating each other in their shared goal. Despite this, everyone except Scaramouche (who had abandoned the Fatui after obtaining Ei's Gnosis) attended Signora's funeral. Even if Signora's methods were not seen as honorable in some of the members' eyes, they still honor her loyalty to their homeland.
    • When Pulcinella states they will halt all the work for half a day to honor her, Pantalone argues that, despite his status as a banker, "merely half a day" is not enough to honor a fallen Harbinger.
    • Tartaglia, who is a Blood Knight and craves combat, talks down Arlecchino for trying to start a fight. This is made more meaningful when he made it clear he does not like Signora at all, yet still does not want to sully the funeral.
    • It is implied that the Tsaritsa was the one who froze the cathedral with Signora's coffin inside. This is the same Tsaritsa who is described as "having no love left for her people", yet all the same she is shown honoring one of the Harbinger's dying with a showcase of her power.
Pierro: Absolute peace. Such is the gift from the Tsaritsa, such is Her Majesty's benevolence. Now you rest in this coffin, encased in layer upon layer of ice.
  • Furina's Character Demo, "All the World's a Stage":
    • Despite the demo mostly being played for comedy, a set of French lyrics at the end shows that, despite the absolute hell Furina had been put through for 500 years acting as a fake Archon for Fontaine's sake, she's still managed to find a positive outlook on things and can still find joy and mirth in life. Seeing her so genuinely happy at the end only makes it more endearing. The lyrics translate roughly to the following:
“The world is just a stage.
It's better to laugh than to cry,
because laughter is of human nature.
Laugh at it all, don't worry.
      Let’s enjoy today.”
    • One of the Melusines shown chasing Childe is Carole (identifiable by her hairstyle and the Medal of Peace on her uniform). While in reality Carole met a tragic end centuries ago, in Furina's show she gets to live to see the present day and work alongside other Melusines.
  • Navia's trailer, "Navia: By Special Invitation", has her inviting the Traveler to a banquet celebrating Poisson's reconstruction. Given how many people she lost, including Melus and Silver, the fact that she's still cheerful and congenial as ever is bound to put a smile on one's face.
  • Xianyun's trailer Xianyun: Discernment and Ingenuity have Ganyu and Shenhe telling stories about Xianyun. Ganyu remembers being gifted handmade toys, even if they were a bit too advanced for her and Shenhe says that although their master prefers her peace and quiet, she's not above having a few visitors now and again. The trailer also implies that Cloud Retainer regularly restocks her pond with fish and is seen spying on Shenhe spying on Aether fishing.
    Lore entries
  • The item description for the "Outrider's Champion Steak" made by Amber implies that the playable character knows that Amber's cooking turned out bad, but they are willing to eat it anyway, just to make her happy:
One side is obviously uncooked. The other side gives off a subtle scent of something burnt. Close your eyes and have a big mouthful, just to keep Amber happy if nothing else.
  • The item description for the "Special Mondstadt Hash Brown" mentions that a father who truly loved Mondstadt Hash Browns prepared these for his unborn son. It's not at all difficult to read this as Razor being Varka's adoptive son, and he made sure Boreas/Andrius would pass the recipe on to Razor.
  • Jean has really gone out of her way to help ease the burden on Noelle's workload by adding a detailed rule in the Knights of Favonius Handbook. Anyone who attempts to delegate their work on Noelle, or even saying "Noeeeelle... Have you got a minute..." would receive punishments in the form of reduced vacation allowance and/or salary deductions. As funny as it may also sound, Jean is really just concerned about Noelle's difficulty in refusing requests. In a way, this limits others from taking advantage of Noelle's kindness.
  • The "Strange Vase" inside the Dawn Winery. Interacting with it in-game just gives you a barebones description of how it looks out of place in the manor and that it is "probably a gift", but reading the manga reveals that it was Kaeya of all people who gifted it to Diluc, not only to replace a previously broken one but to discreetly return Diluc's Vision back to him, which he had given up after he left the Knights. It says something that despite how much their relationship has soured after the night of their father's death, Diluc still keeps that vase on his manor.
  • The story of how Barbara was inspired to become an idol singer. While working to help sick people, one little boy in particular had a dangerously high fever that caused him to cry continuously. At the suggestion of another helper, Barbara simply spent the entire night holding the boy while singing to him (despite having to eventually resort to humming instead because she didn't know most of the words to the song) until her throat was raw. Once the boy finally fell asleep, Barbara herself passed out from exhaustion. The next morning, she woke up to find that a Vision had been inexplicably granted to her for her kindness... which she barely noticed over the fact that the boy had recovered, leading to her dream of healing people with the power of music.
  • The description for Jean's summer outfit, Sea Breeze Dandelion, describes how everyone chipped in to create it.
"I heard that the original idea was Barbara's and that she and Lisa searched every store before deciding on the most suitable design."
"Then Kaeya was somehow able to convince Master Diluc to hire craftsmen to make some modifications..."
"...With fabric chosen by Amber out of her experience with making Baron Bunnies, to render it comfortable but relatively inexpensive..."
"...And with gems for decoration picked from Albedo and Klee's collections."
"The tailoring was then overseen by Noelle, right down to the last needle and thread..."
"...And the detailed dimensions were provided by Lisa, who even sewed this lovely rose ornament on personally..."
This gift, made for her by everyone, was the loveliest surprise she had ever had.
  • Tighnari may have a degree of irritation towards people who do stupid things over and over again, but to the needy and people in need of genuine help, he is far more patient and understanding. A good example of this comes from his character story which details one of the earliest meetings he had with Collei, who was illiterate. He's calm about helping her and gives her some reassurance that it's okay, saying to her, "It's okay if you can't read or write. We all start having no knowledge — in this you are no different from anyone else ."
  • Klee's mage costume Blossoming Starlight not only makes her even more adorable, but its description also details a conversation between Klee and Kaeya where the latter playfully asks her what she would plan to do with her magic, only for the Spark Knight to sincerely answer that she wants to bring happiness to everyone in the way that they want.
"Red Velvet Mage Klee, how do you plan to use your magic?"
With these words, the Dagger Bandit raised his glass to softly toast the tiny mage, indicating it was now her turn to answer her own question.
The Red Velvet Mage shook her head softly, and the juice in her cup reflected her pure smile:
"Klee... wants to make everyone really happy!"
But with these words, the mage suddenly realized the problem with this desire—
Those who are unhappy surely have their reasons for being sad. Would a smile forced upon their lips through magic be even more painful and ugly than tears?
Fortunately, her little mind worked quickly, and she soon found her answer:
Then I'll use my magic to get rid of everyone's troubles!
"For example, magic could make everyone never get sick again, and never have to worry about Mora! Everyone could eat fish for every meal, and be healthy, and just happily play all day!"
But that didn't seem like enough. Klee rested her cheek in her hand, and looked out over the azure sky and white clouds in the distance:
"I want... I want to hear everyone's wishes, and save them, and then use the most amazing and powerful magic, to give everyone the happiness they want the very very most!"
A smile is most beautiful when it is born of happiness.
  • In contrast, Kaeya's Sailwind Shadow costume description is much more solemn as Klee innocently asked him the reason for the Dagger Bandit to carry daggers. Rather than burden her with the harsh realities of how bandits are better known for carrying daggers to commit questionable acts, Kaeya, in true Cool Big Bro fashion, answers her with a smile and weaves a tale of a virtuous bandit so that Klee can continue dreaming and maintaining her childish innocence.
"The boundless curiosity of children makes them always want to ask questions. Even if the endless stream of questions can be a bit annoying for adults, if their curiosity is not satisfied, they may lose that spark of curiosity, and turn into a boring adult. Of all the infinite possibilities in life, becoming boring is one of the worst and most tragic outcomes, so a child’s questions should always be treated with care..."
"Perhaps because he was briefly a bandit on that stage, he too had thought about lives lived that were not his own beneath the bright lights. Knights live as knights do, and bandits live as bandits must. Justly taking up sword and bow and standing forth to show their determination to protect, that is a knight. But hiding one’s blade and closing the net on their prey in the darkness, that is a bandit. Different people live in different ways. A thief will not bear the blade of a knight, and a traditional knight will not sneak out a hidden dagger to hurt someone..."
"If the characters in the story don’t abide by such rules, then the story has betrayed the roles dictated by fate. But there is no need to give such answers to a child, and there is never just one answer to a question. The daggers used by the Dagger Bandit were gifts from his friends, or symbols of his career as a virtuous bandit, or commemorated past acts of charity…"
"Let’s fabricate a fairytale, and weave heroes, legends, and beautiful fantasies together, just like each time before, and give children a dream to dream."
  • The Varunada Lazurite Gemstone description may give the impression that Focalors is a self-centered Archon who places herself on a pedestal. However, upon seeing her in person and learning her motivations, some of the statements now a take more heartwarming meaning.
    • She views humanity as her ideal - she trusted in humans and described the human Furina as "perfect" in her eyes. She, like the rest of her kind, always wanted to become a human even if they would evoke the anger of the heavens as a result of their desire.
    "My ideals have no stains."
    • She believes Fontainians do not deserve to be punished due to the Heavenly Principles' perceived transgression done by Egeria.
"I must correct you. People here bear no sins in the eyes of the gods..."
    "They can judge even me."
    Archon Quests
  • The end of Liyue Act III. Liyue Harbor is saved, Osial has been sealed away once more, and Keqing comes forth to offer the Traveler a reward of their choosing. What do they ask for? Permission to put up missing person posters. Through voiced dialogue no less.
  • Kazuha protecting the Traveler from being cut by the Shogun and Musou no Hitotachi. It's clear he didn't want to lose another friend to the Shogun, even resonating with the Masterless Vision.
  • Yae and Ei's friendship. When they finally meet again after centuries of being apart, the Plane of Euthymia transforms from an oppressive void to an eternal sunrise simply because Ei is so happy to see Yae again, and Yae herself reveals the reason why she wants Ei to stop is because eternity is too cruel and lonely for her, no matter how much she denies it. Even after some arguing and back-and-forth banter, when Yae asks Ei if they're still friends, Ei actually laughs before replying that yes, they're still friends. No matter what happens, the Electro Archon will always have her familiar by her side.
  • Act I of the Interlude Chapter "The Crane Returns on the Wind" ends with a gorgeous cutscene where Yun Jin, voiced by a real Chinese opera singer and accompanied with lovely 2D visuals, narrates the legend of Shenhe's childhood as it had originally been told before surprising the audience with a new addition to the tale — your chapter as the Traveler.
  • Interlude Chapter, Act 2:
    • While this quest is not cheerful in the slightest, Xiao still has his moments of showing his immense loyalty and concern for the Traveler. When the Traveler and company are lost and trying to find Xiao, he initially rebukes them, trying to keep them at a distance. It isn't until Yanfei mentions that the Traveler wound up in a dangerous space trying to reconnect with Xiao that the Yaksha changes tact entirely: he goes from trying to avoid everyone to immediately asking how he can find the Traveler.
    • Everyone immediately rebuking Xiao's suggestion of performing a Heroic Sacrifice for the sake of giving the group a chance at escaping. And it looks like their words stuck with him, too — during the escape Xiao tries his best to hold on till the very end, and only attempts to save everyone at the cost of his life when there seems to be no other options left.
    • Lastly, there is Zhongli intervening at the last second to pull Xiao back to safety. There hasn't been much official interaction between the two, but it's clear that the former Archon still cares for his adepti. Which is supported by Xiao's memory of their last conversation before the Yaksha headed for the Chasm, which had Zhongli express his concern for Xiao's safety.
  • Whilst in Sumeru, the Traveler ends up hitting it off fairly well with Collei and they become fairly good friends. During a later point in the quest, while the Traveler and Paimon do need to hurry to find Tighnari, they do stop to take the time to check up on Collei and make sure she's doing okay.
  • About 90% of Nahida's actions throughout the story.
    • Dunyarzad has a terrible illness, and her parents always kept her locked away for her own safety. When she was a child, she had a dream (before her dreams stopped) of a girl speaking to her and comforting her. She eventually realized this was the Dendro Archon, and dedicated her life to finding a way to repay her.
    • The Sabzeruz Festival is a celebration for Lesser Lord Kusanali's birthday. The sages hate their current Archon and do everything they can to prevent this short of explicitly outlawing it, but people still come from far and wide to celebrate. In particular, Nilou's only wish is to dance for the celebration, echoing what the Goddess of Flowers did for the Dendro Archon long ago.
    • Nahida's introduction: She's looking after Dunyarzad, her most devoted follower, rather than being concerned about the fact that she's been trapped in a cage for centuries.
    • When the story goes to the desert, the Traveler, Alhaitham, and Cyno learn about "Village Keepers." Whenever a scholar goes mad reaching for knowledge, they are exiled to the desert; Cyno knew this, and hated it even though he carried it out before. However, soon after they arrive, their madness settles down; they're never normal, but they're safe and content. The name comes from a legend about how a mad scholar saved a village from an earthquake by somehow projecting green roots through the ground. The Traveler and Paimon deduce that this was Nahida working through them. The quest starts because a village boy is looking for his "grandpa," one of those mad scholars.
  • Chapter III Act V:
    • Rukkhadevata reassuring Nahida that she will become a much greater Archon than she was and giving her a hug. Which makes what comes after all the more heartbreaking...
    • To celebrate the group's victory in saving Nahida and overthrowing the Sages, Nilou organizes a big banquet to celebrate the occasion and invite everyone involved in the plan. Midway, Nahida requests for the Traveler to relay her gratitude to them all with the Traveler denying it by telling her that she should be able to tell her gratitude to them herself and that they'll accept her presence. Nahida then took the courage by borrowing the Traveler's body temporarily to say her gratitude to them all, with everyone in the banquet welcoming her and also accepting her as their Archon. After all that she went through, Nahida finally got to have her own happy ending and is able to fully interact with her people again.
    • Collei and Dunyarzad are fully cured of the Eleazar that has plagued them for all their life. Considering the absolute hell they went through (ESPECIALLY Collei), it's completely satisfying to see their lives permanently change for the better. Amber also gets a voiceline where she's completely overjoyed for Collei and can't wait to see her again.
  • In Chapter III Act VI, after reliving their sibling's traumatic memory and spending much of the quest alone with an increasingly unstable stranger, the Traveler turns to Paimon and tells her that they missed her with a smile, pulling her in for a hug.
  • Chapter IV Act V:
    • This doubles as a Tear Jerker, but right when Focalors dies, she sends a message to Furina that tells her she has fulfilled her duty to the Archon, and that she can now be free from it. It serves both as a final farewell and as an apology for the horrible task she forced on the girl for five centuries.
      Thank you, Furina
      For all you've done
      From this moment on
Please live happily as a human
Just as I wished we could
  • Neuvillette providing Furina with all the financial support she could ever need after she steps down from being the Hydro Archon and decides to live as a normal human. From the way he talks of her, being proud of her, it’s like a father watching his daughter become an adult and leaving the home, promising to help her financially until she can get onto her own two feet.
    Story Quests
  • During Jean's story quest, she ends up overworked to the point of collapse, so you (and the other Knights of Favonius) help her finish her commissions, while Barbara helps her recover. At the end of the quest, it's revealed that Kaeya, Amber, Lisa, Venti, Barbara, and Diluc all pitched in to throw Jean a thank-you party for all her work.
  • The end of Venti's story quest, while definitely a Tear Jerker, still ends on a heartwarming note. After revealing his true identity, Venti manages to help Stanley get over his Survivor Guilt over the real Stanley's death, laying his friend's soul to rest in the process. Even after the quest's done, talking to Stanley again shows how much better he's doing:
Stanley: *sigh* What I would give to have another mug with you, Stanley...
    Traveler: Are you feeling alright?
    Stanley: Ah, I... I'm fine, don't worry.
I just get sentimental sometimes on nights like this, as I listen to the din in the tavern.
It brings me back to the days when I and Stanley had just started adventuring together. We'd always drink ourselves under the table the night before setting out.
sigh* It's alright. I'll get up. For his sake, I definitely will.
    • If you talk to Diluc at the bar after Venti helps Stanley, Diluc will lament Stanley falling so far, but he's also confident that Mondstadt will not forget Stanley's story.
  • The Traveler's first meeting with Klee in her Story Quest is adorably sweet. After a Crash-Into Hello that floors them both, once the Traveler sees it was a little girl their Big Brother/Sister Instinct immediately kicks in and they rush to make sure she's okay.
  • Unexpectedly, the whole of Tartaglia's story quest. The whole story revolves around him trying to protect his younger brother Teucer's dreams with the help of the protagonist, willingly risking death in the process.
  • Ayaka's story quest is just very heartwarming in general. The Traveler and Paimon accompanies her buying kimono, eating lunch, and cooking Pizza for Ayaka's mother's mysterious friend Tsubaki, until The Reveal that Tsubaki is really just Ayaka's mother's alter-ego, on what kind of things she'd like to try if she were just an ordinary woman. It struck a chord with Ayaka, who's always bound by her duty as the eldest daughter of the clan, and as she resolved to live a life without regret, she asked the traveler to come with her to a festival—something that both she and her mother had never done before.
    • When they arrived, the festival was about to be closed - but the moment people see Ayaka attending, they all stopped in order to let Ayaka enjoy the festival. Not only that, all of the stalls she visited gave her things for free, from masks to drawing fortunes to snacks; it's just so wholesome to see how much everybody adores her.
      • This was also seen previously at the restaurant, with the owner expressing happiness at seeing Ayaka making a reservation with a friend, as her status and being seemingly the perfect young lady makes other kids hesitant to approach her. The owner then asked the Traveler to talk to Ayaka and make her happy for the whole neighborhood, and that's just really heartwarming.
    • The Traveler's wish of reuniting with their sibling, and Ayaka's wish of everyone in Inazuma being happy. They each tell the other that they believe it would come true.
    • And lastly, as they were going back to the Kamisato Mansion, Ayaka decided to do one last thing on impulse and danced for the Traveler. It's absolutely breathtaking, and as the time has finally come for them to part ways, the final shot of the quest is of the Traveler walking away, humming the same tune as Ayaka did in her dance. All in all, the story quest is one that has made many Travelers happy and emotional playing it, and a testament to how much better Mihoyo's writing team is getting as time goes on.
  • The ending of the Raiden Shogun/Ei’s second character quest sees her come to terms with her sister’s death.
    • Throughout the quest, Ei is shown struggling to control her body due to how her new views on Eternity clashes with the Puppet’s programming. In order to try to bring it under control, Ei traps herself and the Puppet in Makoto’s pocket dimension so that others won’t get caught in the crossfire. There, she spends untold centuries fighting against the Puppet, before finally emerging triumphant, by getting the Puppet to understand her new views on Eternity.
    • At the end of the battle, we discover that the sword that Ei wields had a fragment of Makoto’s will inside of it. When Ei comes to terms with Makoto’s death, the sword’s full power is awakened, and Ei is able to have a final goodbye with her sister.
    • Makoto then gives Ei a seed. A seed that she then sprouts into the Sacred Sakura in the distant past, and would help protect Inazuma from the Calamity.
  • At the end of Tighnari's story quest, the Traveler and Paimon rush to Pardis Dhyai, fearing that Tighnari brought Karkata back to the Akademiya to be disassembled... except he didn't. Since Tighnari was no longer a member of the Akademiya, he saw no need to follow Akademiya protocol, instead repairing it and letting it stay in a secluded spot in Pardis Dhyai. To Tighnari, if Karkata is truly alive despite its artificial origins, then it is a life worth protecting like any other.
  • Despite Baizhu's cunningness and suspicious behaviour, his Story Quest reveals that at his core he is genuinely kind-hearted in his intention to heal the sick, going so far as to bind himself to Changsheng and suffering all that her contract comes with simply because he saw her life worth saving and wants to do everything he can to do so.
  • Yoimiya's second Story Quest, from start to finish:
    • Ever since the Sakoku Decree was abolished, Inazuma's people have apparently been spreading their wings and seeing the world in all its wonder. When the Traveler and Paimon pass by Naganohara, Yoimiya is getting ready to do the same, and they decide to bring her to Sumeru for a fun excursion between friends.
    • One of Yoimiya's goals is to see a meteor shower, so the Traveler and Paimon go to Akademiya to get clues. When they find themselves at a loss for who to ask, who should bump into them but the God of Wisdom herself? Unfortunately, Nahida has bad news. Remember how Teyvat's stars actually correspond to people and their fates? Because of this, Teyvat's meteor showers are created via complex interactions of fate, and they're basically impossible to predict for Akademiya's scholars. However, seeing the sullen look on their faces, she offers a different solution: she and the Aranara use the power of dreams to create a meteor shower for them to see. All the Traveler and Paimon need to do is figure out a good lead-in to give Yoimiya an unforgettable experience.
    • When the two return to Yoimiya, she's talking with a young girl in a wheelchair named Avin, and gifts her with an Aranara carving to encourage her to smile. When asked, Yoimiya reveals that she had spotted Avin looking lonely and despondent amidst the crowds. Being Yoimiya, she couldn't just let that be, so she tried to bring the girl out of her shell a bit under the pretext of needing directions. Later, when she hears that Avin has gone missing, she drops everything to go find her, upon which it's revealed that, in addition to Avin's illness robbing the once active and rambunctious child of her ability to stand, Avin's memory had become hazy, particularly of an Aranara friend. Yoimiya's gift had helped Avin suddenly recall her friend, and she was afraid the memories would be washed away again by her depression and despair. Yoimiya points out that things might not be so hopeless. She'd already remembered her friend, so what they needed to do was help her remember joy and hope, and promises to help do so.
    • When the Traveler brings her aside to ask her thoughts on the Aranara, she declares that whether the Aranara are real or not, Avin's feelings are real, and that's the most important. Of course, she's thrown for a loop when the Traveler actually does call the Aranara. She takes it in stride though, and immediately asks for help cheering up Avin. She argues that having to grow up so quickly with such a big shock is too cruel for a young girl like Avin, whose worldview has not yet grown enough to realize how to recover from such a major setback. Her empathy and understanding impresses Arapurva, who declares her trustworthy. Mind you, the Aranara are a people that largely retreated into the world of dreams to hide from humans, especially from adults, and even the Traveler needed to jump through a couple hoops to earn their trust. Yet in the span of one conversation, this strange "Red Nara" from Inazuma is deemed to be similarly trustworthy.
    • It must be emphasized that all Nahida had initially promised was that she and the Aranara would show Yoimiya a meteor shower. When the Traveler calls the Aranara early to ask them to help Avin, they take it in stride and not only help with that, they also weave it seamlessly together with the meteor shower idea to create one incredible narrative. And when we say meteor shower, did you think we just meant a bunch of distant lights streaking across the sky? Not in your wildest dreams, because while that might be something from reality, this is a dream, and boy did they prepare something special: when stars begin rocketing from the ground up into the sky, Yoimiya decides to catch a ride on one, pulling the Traveler and Paimon with her. With some encouragement from Arashani, Avin follows suit, the uncertainty on her face morphing into determination, and the whole group flies through the sky amidst the spectacular lightshow. Towards the end of the cutscene, the star that Yoimiya and the Traveler were riding on suddenly disappears and Yoimiya falls through the clouds, but it is only so that she is able to admire the stars bursting into fireworks from the ideal distance, their lights reflected in her awestruck eyes as she gently falls through the sky as a remix of her Leitmotif from her Character Teaser softly plays in the background. As the final cherry on top, the Traveler catches her in a bridal carry and they witness the end of the show together.
  • Neuvillette's story quest has a few moments:
    • Neuvillette recalls how he brought the Melusines to the Court of Fontaine 400 years ago and how they were looked down upon and regarded with suspicion. For a long time, Neuvillette thought it would be difficult for them to be accepted. But when a Melusine named Kiara is sent a threatening letter and word of it gets out, he and the Traveler see crowds of people angry that someone would dare to threaten a sweetheart like her, with a lot of them offering to help keep Kiara safe. All the effort the Melusines have put in over four centuries has more than paid off, and they are now highly beloved by a society that once distrusted them.
    • While it's a bittersweet moment, learning that Vautrin actually didn't resent Neuvillette for sending him to prison is also a heartwarming one. In fact, Vautrin wanted Neuvillette to send him to the Fortress of Meropide for murder so that the public, who doubted the Iudex, would view him as a fair and impartial judge. Afterwards, Vautrin created the Mutual Aid Society in the Fortress of Meropide dedicated to preventing any criminals from trying to get revenge on Neuvillette, one that has kept on going after 400 years.
  • At the end of Wriothesley's Story Quest, two members of the Beret Society, Avice and Faissolle, announce their intention to marry. Despite everything that Dougier did to them, the two of them found love even as Dougier tried to torture them, including trying to force Avice to inject Faissolle with a fear-inducing toxin. Wriothesley offers to help them prepare for a wedding despite that the Fortress of Meropide has never held one.
  • Furina's Story Quest looks at how the former lady has fallen from grace, yet despite how many people still despise her for deceiving them and failing them as their Archon, she is able to find a new lease on life now that she's free from her duty to Focalors. Furina, despite not wanting to go back to show business again after being forced to act as a fake Archon for 500 years, helps out a failing group of performers who want to put on one last show after their director was murdered by Vacher. Between her and the Traveler, the two are able to help the group reconcile following their director's death. Then, when the leading lady suffers from health problems right before the climax of their show, Furina decides to step back onto the stage to take her place, singing a beautiful song in French that results in her getting a Hydro Vision. Though she's been through absolute hell for centuries, Furina has finally been recognized by the highest authority in Teyvat for her efforts, and now she has a chance of becoming a real deity.
    • When the quest heads to Poisson, Furina has obvious misgivings and eventually reveals to the Traveler just how much she blames herself for the lives lost during the flood, that despite being a normal powerless human she had inadvertently given people the false hope that she was capable of saving them and the people are right to hate her when she didn't. But Navia, one of the people who has more reason than most to hate Furina, makes it very clear she doesn't hate her at all. She protects Furina by hiding her identity from people who are angry and her last words to the Traveler before taking off is that she wanted us to protect Furina.
    • Afterward, Zhongli and Ei both have lines about Furina that praise her for having the mental fortitude to go through 500 years of personal torment for the sake of Fontaine, despite being a mere human. Ei even says Furina is more than worthy of divinity in her eyes.
    • According to Neuvillette's profile, the elemental power of Visions comes from the Sovereigns' authorities, which the Archons are to grant to humans whose wishes reach the heavens. Though Focalors is no more, and he has no reason to follow Celestia's demands, Neuvillette keeps up the practice by choice and offers his power freely to worthy humans. In other words, this Vision is actually a gift from Neuvillette—characterized by a set of four little dragon fangs decorating its frame, unique from other Fontainian Visions.
  • Despite maintaining the appearance of the positive, confident leader of the Spina di Rosula, poor Navia has been put through the wringer since the Archon Quests, and her Story Quest shows that she is still quietly grieving over the deaths of her father, Melus and Silver while needing to shoulder the responsibilities as Boss, which she confides in the Traveler on having some insecurity over. To make things worse, a former member of the Spina di Rosula then betrays and attempts to assassinate her in broad daylight out of misplaced anger that she is not worthy of carrying the legacy of her parents and the old guard, which temporarily gives her Heroic BSoD. However, the little girl that she was helping and the Spina's Senior Advisor steps in to defend her, giving Navia a Heroic Second Wind and successfully fends off her assassins. After the crisis is resolved, seeing that Navia is still in low spirits, the Senior Advisor reveals that the other Spina members have prepared a pleasant surprise for her - a family portrait of the Caspar family, with Navia's mother standing beside her. The members all assure Navia that they have full faith in her ability to lead them to a brighter future, which Navia tearfully accepts.
  • Xianyun's story quest has her checking up on Ganyu and Shenhe, even inviting the Traveler and Paimon along. It is made very clear how much she cares for the two of them to where she takes on a human form.
    • The reason behind going from being called Cloud Retainer to Xianyun? Ganyu points out that taking a human name would be a good idea, which Xianyun agrees with.
    • It's also important that while Xianyun wanted to check on Ganyu, she didn't want to interrupt her work and did what she could to end conversation with Ganyu as quickly as possible out of concern for Ganyu's health.
    • While Shenhe doesn't recognize Xianyun at first, she quickly figures it out. When Xianyun asks how, Shenhe states it to be because she trained with her for ten years to learn what she is like. Xianyun's reaction shows how much such a statement meant to her.
    • Xianyun acting as a guardian angel for Yuandai and her family, even though Yuandai thought she had angered Cloud Retainer by refusing to return it was actually the exact opposite with Cloud Retainer even disguising herself in order to deliver pills that would extend Yuandai's time as a human.
  • Near the end of Xianyun's story quest, the Traveler is lulled into a dream by one of Cloud Retainer's inventions. In the dream, they are reunited with their sibling, and the two are overjoyed to see each other, with Lumine literally leaping into Aether's arms in a hug. The two then adventure together, share meals together, etc., with the Traveler's monologue wishing their time together would never end. It then turns into a Tearjerker, however, because the Traveler soon wakes up from the dream with tears in their eyes, knowing it wasn't real and that their sibling is still out there somewhere. Xianyun, who was watching over them while they slept, then tells the Traveler that she believes they will make their dream a reality in due time, and that she will always be there if they need someone to talk to.
  • After Xianyun decides to move to Liyue after warming up to humans, she takes it upon herself to take Shuyu under her wing and raise her properly. First, she needs to get money and she tries selling her old inventions, to which her potential client calls in an expert consultant. Cue Zhongli and Xianyun reuniting once again, greeting each other with genuine affection, despite looking very awkward at the elaborate compliments they pay each other. Zhongli immediately gives her his seal of approval. When they are alone, Zhongli and Xianyun have a more natural conversation where Zhongli reassures her that she is going to be fine in this new stage of her life between mortals, telling her that they have now a friendship on the same level, without honorifics and deity titles. With her students and friends in the same city, Xianyun is no longer alone in the mountains and has found a new home.
    • Counts as Heartwarming in Hindsight that before examining the items first, Zhongli already vouched for Xianyun's belongings as fine quality not because they were already old friends, but because Zhongli himself was in charge of judging all of them back in the day, meaning that he knows already that Xianyun has both great taste and craftsmanship. Despite most of those gadgets losing to Guizhong's, Zhongli still praised their value in honor of the Golden Era.
  • At the climax of Arlecchino's Story Quest, the Fourth Harbinger has just defeated the Traveler, Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet in a duel, granting her the right to execute the children of the House of the Hearth for betrayal. But rather than kill them, she gives them potions containing "bottled flames", which will burn away their memories of their time in the House of the Hearth, effectively "killing" their identities as Fatui agents and letting them go free without compromising the organization. While Arlecchino considers it a Cruel Mercy, the Traveler feels it is far more preferable than death. What's more, even after being given the option to leave, Lyney, Lynette and Freminet all decide to stay with the Fatui.
    • After Lyney announces his intention to stay, he asks Arlecchino why she chose him to be her successor, thinking he is unworthy. Arlecchino gives him a You Are Better Than You Think You Are speech, telling him he has the conviction to be the next leader of the House of the Hearth, and that all he needs is the strength for it, which will come with time.
    • There's also how the matter of Clervie's ghost is resolved. Rather than destroy the shade like she'd originally planned, Arlecchino lets the Traveler tell Clervie all about the places they've been in Teyvat, fulfilling her desire to see the outside world and letting her pass on peacefully. As she fades away, Clervie tells Peruere how glad she is that she became the new Knave.
    • As a small moment, Tartaglia and Arlecchino's small interaction shows a subtle improvement between them.
      • Tartaglia previously thought Arlecchino was a psychopath and untrustworthy, according to his own voice lines. When he and Arlecchino reunite by the pier, Arlecchino doesn't hold it against him, knowing that it was probably Pulcinella who has given her a bad reputation among the Fatui, and both start badmouthing him and their colleagues.
      • Then Arlecchino warns Tartaglia about Tonia and Teucer someday reaching their rebellious phases in their teens, as her own way to give him parenthood advice, which prompts Tartaglia to start ranting about his siblings. It's worth noting that Arlecchino knows the names of his siblings and addresses the children by name with genuine care.

    World Quests
  • Completing the "Miracle Medicine" Commission quest line allows you to heal NPC Anthony's sister, Anna, and will open a new commission line detailing on Anna's recovery and hear her talk about what she wanted to do now that she is on her way to recover. Gameplay and Story Integration is in play as once the commission line about the siblings are completed, you can talk to Anna and Anthony at the Anemo Plaza and Fountain respectively and they will speak of how things are going to get better for them both.
  • "Orobashi's Legacy" involves you speaking to a former miner who had been working on solving the Tatarigami ordeal while Inazuma's government busied themselves with the Vision Hunt Decree, and if you decide to help him out, the thunderstorms over Yashiori Island slowly clear up as you restore each defiled ward. It's a rather small thing, and even if it becomes The Greatest Story Never Told, it sparks hope that you can mend the damage done to Inazuma and its people.
  • The "Neko is a Cat" quest chain at the Asase Shrine on Seirai Island ends up being one by the time it comes to an end. You've spent the past nine days fulfilling requests for a talking cat, only to discover that the reason why she wanted the shrine restored was so that her human friend/owner, a woman named Hibiki, would be able to find her way back to the shrine and see it flourishing. And while it's implied that Hibiki is long dead and Neko is supernaturally old, her unconditional love for her is extremely touching.
    • To top it all off, the final quest involves having everyone on the island present for the sculptor's finishing touches on the statue he was hired to carve, as Neko is convinced that something good will happen when it's finished. When he knocks off the last of the stone, a cloud shaped like a cat appears. Neko deduces it must be a sign from Hibiki, and that it was proof she was right about her prediction.
  • The story of Kumi, Kuntira, and Anisa in "Solitary Sea-Beast". It's quite sweet for a side quest, which are usually simple fetch missions with an extra crumb of lore or two.
  • In the Chasm the player can meet a quartet of Fatui - Anton, Temur, Radomir and Danila - who are part of some kind of mission down there, but are non hostile and in fact ask the player for help. While the player can take the cruel option and attack them (for reasons that eventually become as silly as not liking the leader's hat), if you take the kind option and hear them out you eventually learn that they are genuinely heroic soldiers sent down into the Chasm to help protect Liyue from the Cataclysm and the dark mud. While the members are a bit surly, they're considerate and the captain is a Father to His Men, and they're all baffled to find that the Millileth are now hunting the Fatui down: it turns out that they had been down there so long that they're completely oblivious to all the deceit and villainy that the rest of their people undertook on the surface, and so their whole platoon ended up stuck without supply lines after the Millileth ran off their brethren. You can, again, choose to help, and after they learn the truth they decide to go home without causing a fuss - and they even leave on friendly terms with the Traveler. It's one of the few times in the game you can choose to make a friendship or not, and it pays off if you go for it.

    Hangout Quests
  • Thoma:
    • Thoma in general is aware of the negative opinions that some of the other personnel from the Kamisato state have about him that they look down on him not only for his foreign origins but also his traditionally feminine skills, but he stays positive and doesn't let them get to him.
    • In one branch, he and the Traveler make some knitted sweaters for the cats and dogs of Narukami Island. Thoma also often goes to feed all of them and has made a habit of knitting them clothes for winter.
    • In another branch, they find a dog who used to be the pet of a samurai who never returned after the war. When the dogs resists being taken to a safer place and insists to stay put waiting for his owner, Thoma decides to leave him be and take care of him every once in a while instead.
    • Another branch has Thoma deciding to organise an open masterclass on house chores.
      • If people from the state refuse to assist, the Traveler is the only one attending the class. Thoma doesn't get sad and goes ahead to give the Traveler a one-to-one session.
      • If they decide to extend the invitation to the people, some of the women who come turn out to be the wives of the samurais who were talking behind Thoma's back, and they force their husbands to attend the class. They later are seen regretful and with a newfound respect for Thoma's occupation.
  • Faruzan:
    • In one of the branches, Faruzan and the Traveler find a sentient machine, which finally collapses when it reaches them. It turns out that it was Tamimi, Faruzan’s mechanical assistant, and just like Karkata, it neglected it’s own survival mode to search for its master for a century. And not only that, it had the mission to deliver her letters from her mother, who never gave up on Faruzan returning home.
    • If they choose to tell Tighnari and Collei that the spare parts for Karkata were extracted from Tamimi, both empathize with her, Faruzan isn’t sad since Karkata needed the pieces, and believes that Tamimi will live on through the legacy it left behind.
  • Layla
    • Most of the routes help Layla leesen the emotional baggage she carries, from helping her with the thesis to allowing her to take a break and relax, but one in particular stands out: Not only letting her recover a family trinket that worked as a good luck charm and that she deeply regretted losing, but also reuniting her with a family that she had saved from Treasure Hoarders. She had driven them away by simply approaching, but Layla decided to call the authorities, and by the time she came back both the family and their attackers were gone. She had spent a long time never knowing what happened to them, and considering not doing more as one of her deepest regrets... And now she finally finds out that she had saved them all along. Little wonder she cries Tears of Joy at the end of that branch.
  • Kaveh:
    • One route focuses on Kaveh's troubles that no one understands his art and trying to seek advice from his mother's diary. In it, while she tells him that he will not be able to find someone that can help him as an artist, she advices him that he can alleviate his suffering by looking outside his identity as a creator, enjoy the other things in life and make friends whom he can share his troubles with. He also finds some notes about a social gathering that his parents attended (who unbeknownst to him consisted of the parents of his own friends), including a drawing she did of the group. Despite his initial reluctance to share his troubles to avoid bringing the mood down, Kaveh accepts Tighnari's dinner invite at the Traveler's encouragement, and ends up venting his frustrations and having an enjoyable time with him, as well as Cyno and Alhaitham. Despite their contrasting personalities, Kaveh has found a solid group of friends just like his father did, which is especially important considering his past sufferings with loneliness.
      • Tighnari had invited the other three men over to celebrate Collei's progression in her studies, and there is a brief but earnest discussion between them on the direction that Collei's future education should take. For a child who once felt that the world had abandoned her to the point of having suicidal tendencies, it is yet another happy reminder that Collei has come far since her debut in the manga with the help of many people who cherish and want the best for her despite not being blood-related, and will continue to grow. It should also be noted that Alhaitham, who avoids social interaction as much as possible, actually turned up for the dinner, despite no indication that he knows Collei as well as Tighnari, Cyno and Kaveh.
    • In another route, Alhaitham catches Kaveh in the House of Daena, curious about his presence there. When the Traveler lets slip that Kaveh has been feeling down while Kaveh tries to pretend that he's alright, Alhaitham distracts Kaveh by directing the architect to the books he had previously annotated so that Alhaitham can privately find out the truth from the Traveler. Kaveh comes back happier as he found a note from a junior scholar thanking him for his annotations and his heart meter even goes up by a heart. Beyond his usual indifferent demeanour and blunt words, Alhaitham does worry about Kaveh and looks after his well-being in his own way.
    • Another branch results in Kaveh confronting the problematic client he was arguing with at the beginning of his quest. It turns out that the old man was actually an Eremite who didn't have a family of his own and wanted to make a library for the desert children. Kaveh sympathizes with the cause and offers his help. This results in two possible outcomes.
      • If Kaveh goes directly to Aaru Village, they make some plans for the new library with the help of the man, Setaria, and the Traveler. Kaveh admits that sometimes he needs to compromise with some of the decisions for the sake of the greater good, and takes it as an opportunity to do a different style, which he names after the Traveler for inspiring him to let go.
      • If they decide to get a sponsorship to finance the project, they go to ask Dori. Despite some merchants declining, Dori eventually agrees to fund the library herself, and despite her tricking Kaveh into offering to forfeit his own commission, it's implied that Dori wanted to make that library for her own personal motivations, which connects with her own backstorynote . She also offers to treat Kaveh to dinner, with her smiling face at the end implying that she doesn't mind Kaveh taking advantage of the opportunity to order the most expensive food and beverage to recoup his commission fees. Even Dori is capable to do something altruistic, despite maintaining a Jerkass Façade.
    • In the other branch, Kaveh is offered a gig as a teacher for an architecture school funded by a senior, but despite the huge salary, Kaveh quits after realizing that the whole thing was a scam. After the whole problem is solved, Kaveh tells the children the rough truth about the career: It's not as glamorous as it looks, requires a lot of talent and sacrifice and it's not as lucrative. Despite constantly complaining about his job and disagreements with clients, Kaveh still has a lot of passion for architecture, and offers to give the children some community classes during his free time to prepare them for the Akademiya's admission exams.
  • Kaeya:
    • In general, all of Kaeya's hangouts show off a very compassionate and carefree side of the Cavalry Captain as he spends time with the Traveler and interacts with people throughout several regions. It certainly helps that all of them have happy and lighthearted endings, made more poignant if the player is aware of everything Kaeya's been through from his lore.
    • Unlike the other hangouts, while Kaeya also has a heart meter, not only does it start off full, but it stays that way no matter what choices the Traveler makes. It's clear that he truly enjoys spending time with them, no matter how they go about it.
    • One branch involves Kaeya bringing gifts to his friends in Mondstadt from Sumeru, starting with the Knights. Jean, Lisa and Albedo are delighted to see him back, and it's revealed that Klee had missed him while he was away and wanted him to read to her when he came back. Jean then gives Kaeya some extra vacation time, which he decides to use to visit Dawn Winery and bring everyone there their gifts as well as try to snag some wine.
      • If they visit the next day, Kaeya starts his usual banter with Diluc before noticing that Elzer isn't feeling well and instantly shows concern for him. After Diluc leaves for a business trip, Kaeya reunites with Connor and Tunner as well, and it's clear that he cares deeply for them and vice versa as they talk about Kaeya's childhood at the winery. Tunner asks the Traveler to take care of Kaeya as he still sees him as that young boy, and the chain ends with the two reading a letter from his son, Guy.
      • If they visit the day after tomorrow, Kaeya takes over some of Elzer's duties out of concern for his health, and the Traveler is offered a non-alcoholic drink called "Cider Lake." Later, Adelinde reveals the story behind the drink: when they were young, Diluc and Kaeya had been punished for trying to sneak into the wine cellar, with Diluc being assigned to clean up the cellar. Kaeya tried to help Diluc without being noticed and ended up injuring his hands, but Crepus did notice and made the drink to comfort Kaeya. She then reveals that Kaeya had always had been a gentle soul who helped others quietly without expecting thanks, and notes that even his adult self hasn't changed in that aspect one bit.
      • At the end of the dinner with Adelinde and the Traveler, Klee shows up to the winery to "rescue" Kaeya, who she thinks had been grounded by Jean. The Traveler and Kaeya end up leaving the winery while holding her hands.
    • Another Mondstadt branch involves Kaeya going around the city with the Traveler, helping Sister Grace set up a choir performance. With Venti and Barbara's help, they try to come up with ideas, and the Traveler notes that even when he's off work, Kaeya is still being helpful to others. The chain ends with Venti reciting a reassuring rhyme about guiding lost ships home, and the player pulls Kaeya over to join the festivities while holding his hand.
    • If they take a trip to Liyue, the duo run into Captain Wu, who turns out to know Kaeya because of how many times the latter helped him without expecting anything in return. When it turns out that Captain Wu had been conned, Kaeya decides to help him out again despite insisting to the Traveler that he isn't that kind of person. The Traveler can choose one of three options (all examples of Kaeya's thoughtfulness) to assure him that he is, which he is surprised by. After they get Captain Wu his money back, he declares the Traveler and Kaeya his true friends, and the three go on a fishing trip together.
    • If they stay in Port Ormos, the Traveler and many of the passersby get to see Kaeya find a passion for acting, and give an amazing performance where he improvises in the role of a prince who ultimately defies fate. For Kaeya, the initial story had hit very close to home for his inner conflict, and allowing himself to improvise seems to help him take some of that weight off his shoulders even for just a moment. When the troupe asks him to join them, Kaeya politely declines, stating that his friends and family in Mondstadt are waiting for him.
  • Lynette:
    • The start of the quest has Lynette interacting with a lost kitten and debating on whether to help find its owner or go to a rehearsal she agreed on, even using cards to help her decide. Of course, the Traveler can also convince her to Take a Third Option which is to continue playing with Bonnie.
    • Lynette was set to play the lead role as a puppet in a play. Said role was originally meant to be played by a girl named Gillian, but she was dropped when Lynette accidentally agreed to the role (Lyney actually convinced her to take the role to distract her from a case). Despite this, Gillian opts to remain calm and be supportive of Lynette. Even so, Lynette shows that she would rather Gillian play the part like she was originally meant to as to not actually wanting the part in the first place along with feeling Gillian would fit the role better. With the help of the Traveler, the two can gain a solution where they both get what they want without destroying the troupe's reputation.
    • Lynette gets sent a threatening letter from somebody. The Traveler deduces that it was from Gillian's sister, yet Lynette opts to keep quiet about it as she understands the motive Ginna's actions. She even states that if her siblings would do worse if she was in a similar situation as Gillian, so she doesn't hold grudge against Ginna for the threat.
    • After it is revealed that Pierre is already dead and Elodie is the mastermind behind the Imitation Sinthe, Lynette appears to have decided to adopt Bonnie herself thanks to how much the cat bonded with her and the Traveler.

    Events

Invitation to Windblume

  • Venti accompanies the Traveler throughout the entirety of the 1.4 Windblume Festival event story. While he did strong-arm the Traveler and Paimon to aid him in being an assistant for his poetry class, Venti also made sure that they still had fun and enjoy the festival. It's a stark contrast to the Traveler and Paimon spending most of the Lantern Rite festival on their own while trying to get Xiao to enjoy it together with them.
  • The final cutscene for the Windblume Festival event is full of this. While Venti narrates, we see all of the various groups the Traveler has encountered (Jean and Lisa, Bennett and Razor, etc) looking joyful and happy to be spending time together. It's a feel-good scene that perfectly caps off a storyline about the importance of love.

Midsummer Island Adventure

  • How was "Dodo-King" able to get Albedo and Razor to travel to the Golden Apple Archipelago? By saying Klee was being held hostage/in danger.
  • The event story itself can certainly count. The entirety of the event was planned by Alice, Klee's mother, so her daughter can have her own summer adventure. Not just Klee, Alice went her way out to invite every person possible that Klee held in great regard. Jean, Barbara, Razor, Albedo, heck, she even invited the Traveler, who is but a stranger to Alice herself, along for this since Klee likes the Traveler that much. All so her daughter can spend her summer with the people she care about.
    • Of all the people to get invited by Alice, Diluc was among the list. If you have Klee, her voice lines reveal that she thinks Diluc as being one of the "weird grown-ups". However, she also wonders why it is that Diluc never smile at all. Just this fact means that despite her first impression of Diluc, Klee does want to get to know Diluc better and why Alice invited him.

Lunar Realm

  • At the end of the event, Paimon and Traveler both make a wish in a bottle to throw into the sea. You’d expect Paimon’s wish to be something treasure or food-related, but it’s actually for the Traveler’s wish to come true instead.

Moonlight Merriment

  • The story of Marchosius, the Stove God is both heartwarming and tear-jerking. He was a powerful god who worked closely with mortals by taking good care of them until he had to sacrifice every last bit of his power, losing his former glory and being reduced to an Intellectual Animal who couldn't even speak. Yet while the cast laments his current status, Madame Ping assures them that the whole thing is a blessing in disguise because Marchosius can finally enjoy the Liyue he helped create.

Fleeting Colors in Flight

  • "Age of Flowing Hues", the denouement video for Fleeting Colors in Flight, brings every familiar face in Liyue together for four minutes of reflection and celebration set to a medley of musical reprisals:
    • Keqing is notified by a secretary that her order has arrived. She steps inside for a moment and returns in her new "Opulent Splendor" costume made for the occasion. After a long period of busywork, the Yuheng is finally able to let her hair down.
    • Nadia and Vlad, the two Fatui guards for Northland Bank, are revealed to still be dating (to the relief of players who might've noticed how the two aren't standing together in the overworld this time).
    • Yun Jin is excitedly pulling Xinyan along to watch the show from the Jade Chamber. Normally, Yun Jin has to worry about her public image, and for a traditional performer like her to have anything to do with Xinyan would be out of the question. But here, far away from prying eyes, she can just be herself for the night.
    • Beidou compliments Ningguang's dress, to which the Tianquan teasingly replies that anything that catches Beidou's eye has to be quality indeed.
    • Shenhe, watching the fireworks from the railing, is joined by Ganyu, who gets up from where she is seated nearby with Yanfei and Madame Ping to check up on her. Cloud Retainer's two adopted "children" exchange looks before turning their attention back to the fireworks.
    • Xiangling and Guoba meet up with Xingqiu and Chongyun to watch the show. Meanwhile, Zhongli is practically glowing with love and pride for his people as he admires the fireworks with Hu Tao from Third Round Knockout.
    • Someone paid a visit to Azhdaha's resting place to leave offerings before the stone tablet. The ancient earth dragon may no longer stand shoulder to shoulder with the adepti, but someone still took the time to remember and honor him.
    • After a year without being seen on-screen, Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper show up once again, returning to Jueyun Karst to join Cloud Retainer for the festivities.
    • Xiao, perched on the roof of Wangshu Inn, looks down to see Smiley Yanxiao serving a meal to Verr Goldet, Huai'an, and Jiangxue, and can't help but smile at such a peaceful sight.
    • Up in Qingce Village, Qiqi and Baizhu are still hard at work delivering medicine even as the Millelith light off fireworks for the villagers. One of the elders thanks Baizhu for continuing to go to such trouble during the holidays, to which he responds how it's no problem at all.
    • Qiqi herself, meanwhile, turns her head to the sound of fireworks and recognizes them as part of Lantern Rite festivities. Made extra heartwarming if you found Baizhu and Qiqi before the end of the quest and listened to their conversation — Qiqi wanted to see the fireworks from someplace high but was reminded that they still have patients to treat, and they managed to end up at one of the best views in Liyue anyways.

Hues of the Violet Garden

  • In the "A Story For You" quest, Yoimiya gets to meet Klee in person and their interaction is fairly cute and "aww" worthy with Yoimiya being quick to win over Klee just by being a Cool Big Sis.
    • Klee writes a book about Dodoco with Yoimiya, but they missed the deadline to get it published. Fortunately, Yae Miko works out a deal to shorten their story and have it published alongside another story. When the story is published, it's revealed that Klee included the traveller and Paimon in the book as well. As for the person whose story was published in the same book as Klee's, it turns out to be Klee's mother; the book in question is the Inazuma chapter of Alice's Teyvat Travel Guide.

Summertime Odyssey

  • A team of Fatui test a new machine on the Golden Apple Archipelago, only for things to go horribly wrong and for the machine to make those with weaker wills delirious and unaware of their surroundings, while making those with stronger wills (i.e. Fischl, Xinyan, Kazuha, and Mona) discover "mirages" based on their memories. In the end, you shut the machine down, but there are four Fatui left on the islands who are still delirious. You've seen the team interacting with one another and see that all of them are True Companions through magic conch shells that record images and conversations, and you get a quest to help them all snap out of it. You can do this by giving them things to remind them of their past (e.g., you give Agafya the Mirror Maiden a picture of her with her brothers). Once each one is back to normal, they initially recognize you and think you want to take them prisoner and torture them or something, but you reassure them that you have no such intention. While initially skeptical, all of them eventually believe you as they see you help their other teammates and/or learn about how you helped them, even though you didn't have to. As you progress through the quest chain to help each of the four, you learn about them as people and go from being in an uneasy truce to getting along quite well. One of them, a Hydrogunner named Zakhar, was found in a cave where Agafya left him to rest when he wasn't feeling well before she left to do some scouting, along with four apples on the ground that she left him to eat after he started feeling better. Later, when you return to their camp you find them gone, but you find a note they left for you. It reads:
"I heard about how you helped me from my teammates. Thank you very much. If one day we are no longer enemies and instead fight side by side, I think we would make good comrades-in-arms." - Yakov
"I hope you will find the method I taught you of obtaining intel useful. Come to think of it, it's the only useful thing I've said!" - Agafya
"My father once taught me that a real man's worth is seen in battle, so let's fight justly and honorably next time—and may the vanquished not begrudge the victor their success." - Chevka
"I leave you these four apples." - Zakhar (And there are indeed his four apples left with the note.)

Of Ballads and Brews

  • Razor wants to learn more about his birth parents from a bottle of wine they left behind. During Act II, the main objective is to find ingredients of the wine according to Venti's poem.
    • Bennett arrives to the festival and gives Razor a Small Lamp Grass, explaining that he tripped on it on the way there. While the others question how is it possible to trip with a plant, Razor seems touched by the gesture.
    • During the conversation, Bennett opens up about being an orphan too, having been raised by the elder members of the Adventurers Guild, who he refers as "his dads". When Klee suggests that her mother can be his too, Bennett kindly refuses the offer, since he still considers the adventurers and his friends a family, despite not knowing his birth parents either, so he doesn't feel lonely.
    • During the whole conversation, Razor can tell that Bennett has a different smell around him when he talks about his personal life, describing the sensation as "warm as a hay bed on the sun". Despite Razor's difficulty at words and considering that Bennett talks a lot, he is capable of telling apart Bennett's true feelings under his cheerful personality.
    • Rosaria appears out of nowhere, being aware of Razor's goal. She considers him sort of "a brother", since both of them have been raised by Varka, and gives him a harsh pep talk about the possibility of finding something unpleasant about his origins, since everyone else at Mondstadt is too nice to say it likewise, then give him a Mist Flower. While he gets affected by Rosaria's words, Razor appreciates the advice, since at least she is honest.

The Exquisite Night Chimes:

  • Paimon has the idea of making the Traveler pretend to be in danger to lure the adeptus. Instead, Xiao and Shenhe quickly bolt to rescue the Traveler. Xiao is visibly angry at this, since he geniunely worried that the Traveler was in danger.
  • The Traveler hums the tune of the Divine Damsel of Devastation to demonstrate to Shenhe what a melody is, and Shenhe is visibly happy at the memory of watching Yun Jin's performance, saying that she felt a "warm sensation in her heart". As she leaves afterwards, she hums the tune as well.
  • After assuring Shenhe that she and Ganyu are already friends and they don't need to be formal around each other, Shenhe invites her and Keqing to her new house, and tells her that she has been growing nice flowers they can eat. Ganyu happily accepts.
  • Zhongli's special Bamboo Shoot Soup was actually for his reunion with Mountain Shaper and Moon Carver. While Zhongli is known for being picky with the kind of ingredients used in his food, he particularly put more effort in this one, since he hasn't seen his Adepti friends since he faked his death. He also uses the cooking device invented by Cloud Retainer, to which both Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper comment that it's a wonderful invention, but they wouldn't have been able to use while raising Shenhe back in the day, and they lament that they weren't able to cook for her, resorting to feeding her raw herbs instead.
  • Xinyan and Hu Tao decide to perform together, and despite Yun Jin being the bigger star among them, she is happy to do the backstage work in their rehearsals as their coach.
  • After finding out about Guizhong's history and how her death affected both Cloud Retainer and Madame Ping, it becomes clear why the Cleansing Bell was so important during Rex Lapis' funeral.
  • When Zhongli requested the bell for the ceremony, both Madame Ping and Cloud Retainer immediately knew that only Rex Lapis would think of such detail, and therefore Morax was still alive.
  • Madame Ping has been holding on the bell as her own way to honor Guizhong's memory, as the Cleansing Bell was one of Guizhong's inventions that shared their passion for music. She even dedicated much of her time to composing a melody with the Cleansing Bell that would harmonise with her zither.
  • Cloud Retainer and Madame Ping finally talk to each other after so many years since their common rival and friend's death, so they decide to have a cup of tea together and catch up. Ganyu immediately understands that they need a time alone, so she takes Yanfei with her with a flimsy excuse. Eventually, they plan to meet more frequently from now on, with Cloud Retainer being quite open to Madame Ping's suggestion of moving to the city and possibly get more students of her own, which is a big step from Cloud Retainer's self-imposed isolation.
  • How everyone spends their Lantern Rite:
    • Xinyan fulfills her dream of playing her music in front of a cheering audience, but she's not alone. Yunjin has been coaching her during her rehearsals and is cheering her from the crowd along with The Traveler, Paimon, Xiangling, Chongyun and Xingqiu, and Hu Tao is also rapping one of her poems to her tunes, which means a lot considering that most people are usually annoyed by her antics and weird sense of humor.
    • Ningguang, Keqing and Beidou make plans to take the day off after working hard the whole year. On the other hand, Yelan just heads back to work quietly, since for her, protecting Liyue from the shadows is just what she does.
      • Unlike the previous year, Qiqi and Baizhu can enjoy the Lantern Rite in Liyue, as both are seen handing paper lanterns to people.
    • Just like Yelan, Xiao is also working at dealing with enemies, though he still takes time to watch the fireworks from afar.
    • Madame Ping spends another Lantern Rite with Yanfei, Ganyu, and Yaoyao. By the end of the event, they go visit Qingce Village together. Even after years of losing Guizhong, her best friend, Madame Ping has never been alone.
    • The entire plot starts with Zhongli requesting the Traveler to go for bamboo shoots for his Bamboo Shoot Soup. While it looks just like Zhongli being picky with his ingredients, then the reason he put so much care into it was because he planned to spend the Lantern Rite with Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper.
    • Shenhe spends the day with Cloud Retainer at the mountains, since her training isn't over yet. When she hesitatingly asks for a Xiao lanterns, Cloud Retainer immediately starts heading into her abode, claiming that she can make her an even more magnificent one that she can take to Liyue and show to everyone.
    • After a long search for the melody his ancestors told over generations, Dvorak finally hears Madame Ping playing it to accompany his orchestra.
  • The epilogue has Hu Tao organizing a banquet for her friends:
    • Hu Tao tells Zhongli that he is excused from attending the concert, since she is aware that he has other plans (she doesn't know that those plans were having dinner with his adepti friends), but he is prohibited to miss the banquet where she also invited Xiangling, Chongyun and Xinqiu to attend.
    • Hu Tao reveals that her mysterious guest was none other than Xiao, to the surprise of everyone, except for Zhongli. This situation brings two flashbacks:
    • Turns out that Zhongli and Xiao not only are already familiar with each other, but Zhongli actually went out of his way to visit Xiao at Wangshuu Inn. Not to talk about a mission, but because Hu Tao was planning a banquet and she tasked him to get some sesame oil.
    • Hu Tao manages to invite Xiao by yelling until he accepts the invitation. Despite looking like he just agreed to stop her, Xiao already knew about the banquet from Zhongli, and that the Traveler was also going to attend.
    • The awaited reunion between Zhongli and Venti, the two remaining original archons from the Archon War, happens, and despite the fact that they have to pretend they have never met before, and Zhongli is known for losing his temper around his fellow archon, both start paying each other exaggerated compliments, but it's clear in their expressions and words that they are glad to see each other again.
    • Noticing that Xiao is increasingly overwhelmed at the banquet, the Traveler excuses both him and themselves to give him some breathing space. In their ensuing private conversation, Xiao, who is known for being unapproachable and a terse talker, feels comfortable enough to divulge how he is feeling. He is worried about his karmic debt, but it's nothing compared to his own insecurities about living a normal life among humans, and how it looks so easy to do like Zhongli and Venti pretending to be common people like it's nothing. The Traveler comforts him, saying that he can simply be himself.
    • Xiao reveals that the suit Zhongli wears in modern times is an original design from Menogias. He loved designing clothes for his fellow adepti, who usually rejected the outfits for being Awesome, but Impractical, but Zhongli is not only one of the few original survivors of the Archon War, he genuinely liked Menogias' work and kept all the suits.
    • Xiangling reveals that she had prepared Xiao's favourite Almond Tofu together with Guoba (who had been delighted to assist) despite being a guest at the dinner, as she was worried that he was feeling uncomfortable in an unfamiliar setting and eating food that he wasn't used to. With some encouragement from the Traveler, he accepts her goodwill, and after the banquet ends, Xiao could be visited at the inn, planning to eat the rest of the Almond Tofu later.
    • Despite passing the "guest of honor" title to others out of embarrassment, all the people at the banquet give genuine reasons and compliments to whoever they are giving the honors. This is specially touching (and funny) when the Traveler gives it to Paimon, reflecting on how Paimon is the one who started them on the journey that led all of them to be acquianted to each other.
    • Since Xiangling decides to take the rest of the night off to hang out with her friends, Hu Tao sends Zhongli to help at Chef Mao's restaurant to cover Xiangling's shift. Zhongli gladly accepts because that means he can spend more time with Guoba. Apparently Zhongli decided to reconect with his fellow Adepti this year, and he didn't forget about Guoba as well.

Windblume's Breath

  • One of the main subplots centers around Collei learning to overcome her insecurities about socialising with others and accepting herself for who she is with the help of those that care for her, knowingly or unknowingly:
    • After Collei apologises for "making things awkward" at the campfire, Cyno immediately diverts everyone's attention by making one of his terrible jokes, with the funny ensuing reactions and conversations causing Collei to laugh and lighten up.
    • For once it's good to see that someone actually enjoys Cyno's lame puns: none other than Albedo. Albedo tells Cyno that despite not laughing, he finds his puns funny. Not only Cyno is happy that his new friend enjoys his humor, also gets very excited when Albedo turns out to be Calx, his favorite artist who he wanted to commission his card backings. Albedo not only agres to take the commission, despite Albedo usually avoids taking them, but does them for free because he is impressed by Cyno's devotion to the TCG.
    • In Cyno, Tighnari and Albedo's discussion about Collei at the library, Cyno begrudgingly confirms that he and Tighnari had insisted on accompanying Collei to Mondstadt for this particular instance as they had noticed her mood did not improve after previous trips. He goes on to say that unlike most family units in Sumeru, the Family of Choice that they formed is "equal and pure, unaffected by academic considerations", which really becomes more meaningful in light of Cyno revealing that he was similarly traumatised from hosting uncontrollable divine powers during his childhood and taken in by the Akademiya for experimentation.
    • Collei is tight-lipped about her Dark and Troubled Past with most people and often puts on a sunny front, but she manages to find a kindred spirit in Sucrose and feels comfortable enough to initiate sharing her trauma with her. In return, Sucrose reassures her that she is not weird for talking about it and considers it an honour that she shared it with her. They bond over having the same struggles with social interaction and being students of geniuses, with Sucrose thanking Collei for listening when the former goes off about her own interests. Sitting together with Sucrose without any expectation to make conversation gradually puts Collei at ease, and she feels better about herself at the end of the scene.
    • While Amber only made several brief appearances, she had also been looking out for Collei throughout the event. Right after Collei and Sucrose have their heart-to-heart, the camera zooms out to show that she had been watching them from a distance, and expresses happiness at seeing her making new friends, explaining to Klee that Collei needs someone different from her to draw strength from.
    • The letter that she deposited in Sucrose's Mailbox reveals that she had been concerned about Collei's mental well-being, and hopes that Collei doesn't put her on a pedestal as her saviour but instead becomes closer with her as friends.
    • As a sign of her Character Development, when presenting her answer to the prophecy, Collei presents herself as "the guide who will never get lost", declaring her desire to pay forward the help and guidance she received from others ever since she was a wandering vagrant.
    • Collei and Sucrose compliment each other on their various qualities after coming back from the Hexenzirkel's tea party table, with Sucrose expressing happiness in becoming friends and reassuring once again that her ""issues" aren't really issues at all" and "it's never too late to start" with regards to learning to accept herself, which encourages Collei.
    • Collei came to Mondstadt during Windblume in order to express her gratitude to all that had previously helped her by giving them her own Windblumes. During the conclusion of the story, she gives Sumeru rose bookmarks to Amber, Tighnari and Cyno as she considers them family, as well as Padisarah seeds to the Traveler, Paimon and the other Mondstadt characters she feels thankful for, expressing a desire to accompany them for future Windblume festivals.
    • Sucrose gives Collei her Windblume (the seeds of Sucrose's Tetratanic Sweet Flower), with Collei promising to plant and take good care of them back in the Avidiya Forest, as well as study materials that Albedo had compiled at Sucrose's request. This overwhelms Collei to near happy tears. As the story concludes, Collei references their earlier conversation by the cliffside, pointing to a cloud and asking Sucrose if it looks like her test tubes.
  • When approached by the Traveler and Paimon about the prophecy, Bennett voices doubt over whether he would be able to help, only for Razor and Mika to respond by telling him to believe in himself.
  • The entire lore behind the Hexenzirkel. The witches were at first at war with Barbatos until he convinced them to talk out their conflicts, which led them to become long-time friends, and the witches would gather for tea parties to catch up on what everyone has been doing. Despite their different lifespans, moralities, and agendas, they all swore to never fight among themselves and save their places at the table no matter what, and their promise has lasted for thousands of years.
    • When Alice picks up the call, she quickly drops her impersonation when Klee talks and gives a cheerful greeting to her and Albedo.
    • While tragic, J's story says that she retired from the group when she got married to a mortal, and eventually she had to end his life to spare him from the suffering of old age. She of course shares this with her coven sisters.
    • M, the author of "The Boar Princess", had a short lifespan compared to her long-lived friends, who were left with all her novels to remember her. While it's a rather bizarre tale, she still has left her legacy in Teyvat through her books.

Parade of Providence

  • Kaveh initially volunteers to win the prize money so he can move out from Alhaitham's house as soon as possible. After learning the true nature of that prize, Kaveh decides to donate all of it to the poor, reject the Akademiya's sponsorship for any future projects and give away the rare TCG card to Cyno, very aware that Cyno would really appreciate it.
    • Kaveh almost loses the second challenge because he ran into some fennecs. Somehow the animals managed to get almost all of Kaveh’s rations, to the point he passes out and wakes up later at night. Kaveh puts the safety of the animals above the whole competition, even if that puts him in a disadvantage.
    • Kaveh rejects Sachin's inheritance since he doesn't agree with his pessimistic views of humanity's evil nature. Despite all his misfortunes, Kaveh still believes in goodness and how everything he can give to others will help the world be a better place.
    • Cyno is touched by Kaveh's gesture, but instead of accepting the card as a gift, he offers to pay him the actual price, which ascends to 1 million mora as a fair trade. Kaveh accepts the transaction and uses part of the money to treat them to dinner, including some takeout for Alhaitham.
  • Cyno and Tighnari once again demonstrate the closeness of their friendship. When Tighnari is weakened during the second round because of the heat and the Ley Lines, Cyno puts the challenge on hold to help him and becomes determined to win the second round for both of them, which he succeeds in doing.
  • Faruzan showing her Cool Teacher and maternal instinct for her juniors during the competition.
    • At first Faruzan quickly deduces Kaveh's situation by a few sentences during the conversation, and then she offers to team up with Kaveh during the first round, but she ends up winning the points since Kaveh proposes to decide who gets them on a draw. During the second round, this happens again, and it's implied that Faruzan "lost" the draw on purpose to give Kaveh the round.
    • After the tournament is over, Faruzan is approached by two female students who were impressed by her performance and want to be her apprentices. When Faruzan tells them that she teaches Semiotics, one of the girls backs off because she isn't interested in the subject, while the other wants to try it because she only wants to be Faruzan's disciple. Faruzan considers it a win, since she managed to attract at least one person to her faculty.
  • It's revealed much later Alhaitham started an investigation on Kaveh's father's death and Sachin's involvement on it, and the only reason he accepted the gig as commentator of the event was to investigate the subject up close. He even went all the way to work backstage to find those documents in Aaru Village and give this information to Kaveh so he could get some closure, because he knows Kaveh has been blaming himself for his father's death for the last 20 years. He still manages to tease Kaveh a little by telling him to repeat his gratitude a third time, though.
  • Layla entered the tournament because she was selected by her fellow students, but she is worried that either they voted for her as a way to humiliate her, or the few who genuinely believe in her would end up disappointed by her performance. Tighnari, Cyno, and Faruzan talk to her about having more confidence and ignore what others migh think. Even Sleepwalking!Layla wants her to have more confidence. After the tournament, the other students cheer for her and congratulate her despite not winning, proving her that they did believe in her chances.
    • A very small moment is that Layla is a big fan of Mona Megistus' articles, and has taken to heart her belief that Astrology should never be used for self-gain, despite having the option to use it during the challenges.
  • The real reason why Wanderer entered the tournament was because Nahida needed his help to find out the truth about Sachin's investigation. While Wanderer recognizes that he still owes Nahida everything she has done for him, he keeps saying that he is some kind of prisoner. Nahida says that even prisoners have access to education and she enrolled him in hopes he develops his social skills. When asked if he still doesn't like being called "Hat Guy", Wanderer just scoffs and looks away, but doesn't deny anything. So far Nahida is doing an excellent job as Wanderer's surrogate mother.
  • In the end, almost everyone gets a happy ending: Tighnari and Faruzan succeed at using the tournament as a platform for their faculty talks, Kaveh rejects his prizes, but helps a lot of poor families with the money, Cyno gets the card he wanted, while also helping Kaveh by buying it at retail prize, Collei gets a fun meal with the guys, Layla gets a boost to her self-esteem, Candace and Dehya have a good time shopping with Nilou and Faruzan, Nahida gives Wanderer another moment to interact with people, and Alhaitham manages to help Kaveh cope with his guilt in his own way. The only one who doesn't get her way is Dori, who was scheming to get the Akademiya to dispose of the Diadem of Wisdom and then scoop it up at a dirt-cheap price.

Duel! The Summoners' Summit!

  • Cyno gets enraged that the Treasure Hoarders used the Genius Invokation cards as a way to coordinate their crimes, and he takes the case very personally.
  • After dealing with the thieves, Kirara finally tells the Traveler and Charlotte to go with her to deliver her last package of the day. It turns out that the recipient was one of the creators of the Genius Invokation TCG, Garvipidam, who retired to Vimara Village after his friend Gurab died of Eleazar. They learn that Garvipidam always thought that Gurab was the genius of the duo and didn't deserve to go out like this, and the grief kept him away from playing the game he and his childhood friend invented long ago. The package turns out to be a last letter from Gurab with a card portraying them during their childhoods.

Waterborne Poetry

  • Upon seeing Xiao watching from a distance at a nearby cliff, the Traveler gets inspired and composes a succinct yet verse for Xiao showing appreciation for his eons of service as Liyue's remaining guardian yaksha. Xiao leaves with a rare smile on his face.

  • After 40 years since she first left him, Callirhoe comes to accept her romantic feelings for Finch, and with Mika's encouragement, and finally reunites with him at the spring where they first met. Callirhoe give her physical heart to Finch, promising him to find him in his dreams. They manage to share a Big Damn Kiss off-screen before Callirhoe runs out of energy to maintain a physical form forcing them to part once more, but this time they won't be truly apart in spirit.

Vibrant Harriers Aloft in Spring Breeze

Speaking to Furina, Clorinde, and Navia after the quest you will find the three happily chatting away and making plans to go on vacation together sometime.
  • Xianyun learns that Gaming and his father Yip Tak have been estranged for a while due to the latter's disapproval of Gaming's pursuit of lion dancing. She decides to hatch a plan with the Traveler to slowly convince the two to reconcile. During the actual festival, Yip Tak sees Gaming perform his wushou lion dance to cheers from the crowd. After the performance, Gaming sees his father with a lion kite at the end of a bridge and the two ultimately reconcile with a hug after Yip Tak tells his son that he changed his mind and approves of his son's dream, calling him a great kid.
  • Neuvillette, in his half-day vacation, decided to take a ceramics class and not only gifts Wriothesley a stone tablet with a legal codex in an attempt to socialize, but he also crafted a ridiculously adorable dragon-shaped soup ladle that he gifts the Traveler.

Reciever of Friends From Afar

  • This event further shows how much of a parental figure Arlecchino is to Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet as the reason they are in Liyue for the latern rite festival is because she granted them permission to take a vacation having concluded they needed one after everything that happened in Fontaine. A Fatui Harbinger she may be, but she further shows to care for her children.
  • Conversing with Amber after her groups meal reveals that her beloved grandfather use to cook her Liyue dishes as a child, nothing fancy, just basic traditional meals, the kind of dishes you would be hard pressed to find in the cosmopolitan city of Liyue Harbor, but are normal fair at the Inn. Amber suspects this is the very reason Eula suggested the inn, instead of someplace in the Harbor.

Alchemical Ascension

  • The first guests to visit the potion shop end up being Eula and Beidou. Turns out the two became good friends after a misunderstanding. Although Eula denies it at first, Beidou assures her that they are friends.
  • Beidou decides to order a potion to help a friend of hers sleep. Traveler and Paimon are able to figure out the friend in question on account of being friends her themselves. It is nice to know that even Beidou cares enough for Ningguang to wanna help her be better rested.
  • Venti and Diona arrive with Diona deciding to ask for a potion that permanently makes people not want alcohol. Of course, when she is informed such a thing is undoable due to the potions wearing off, Venti then asks why Diona hates alcohol so much. Anybody who has played through Diona's hangout events will already know why as she explains. Hearing this, Venti realizes that Diona doesn't exactly hate alcohol itself, but rather hates those who get drunk off of it. Upon which, he suggests a potion that allows somebody to stay sober even when drinking alcohol as an alternative which is a suggestion that delights Diona. Leave it to Venti to give Diona sweet alternative goal that she may have a better chance at achieving.

Feline Fortress Furrdyssey

  • The entire premise of this event is caring for stray cats and bonding with them with intent on helping the cats find happy homes.
  • Rosaria, of all people, helps out a significant amount in this event. She even bonds with Snowball and Sir Pouncelot. This gets Paimon to realize that Rosaria is good with animals.
  • The final cat is named Sir Pouncelot by Paimon. Cute name, but then it is revealed that Sir Pouncelot was initially found by the Knights of Favonius and given the same name by Klee. Even Paimon is amused and happy to know that she and Klee were on the same wavelength.
  • Ultimately, the fact that the Traveler and Paimon decide to adopt Sir Pouncelot at Albedo's suggestion. Given what the poor kitty went through in the past, being adopted by a duo it grew to trust right away is definitely a happy ending.
  • Valerina requests Rosaria to work with her when she opens the shelter officially. Rosaria shows signs of being interested in accepting the offer. She even asks her, the Traveler, and Paimon to join her in the opening ceremony.
