Proof that the remaining 10% is worth losing the 50/50 for.

These are recommendations made by tropers for Genshin Impact fanfics, all of which have to be signed to stay on the page. After a few samples, you will be able to note the interests of the tropers recommending them, and judge whether you might be also interested in a certain 'fic.

Feel free to add a fanfic of your own to the list, but remember to use the template found herenote . Do warn when a fanfic may head into sexualnote  or non-canon territory. Some people just don't like it, and as we all know, Shipping is Serious Business.

Reviews of fics are encouraged, but if you choose to write one, please make it substantive, and give specific details about what you liked / disliked in the fic. If you want to give a fic a thumbs-up without writing a full review, you can add your troper handle to the Recommendations Line. Please refrain from posting "Comments" or Conversation in the Main Page though; that goes in the discussion page.

  • Title of the Fanfic by Author OR Fic Trope Page, by Author (Link)
    • Recommended by: Troper Name
    • Synopsis: What's the story about? Give here a brief summary of the plot. It would be also useful to point out in what moment of the series the story takes place. If it's a Gen Fic but it has some romantic elements, note here the characters involved too.
    • Pairing(s): If it's a Shipping Fic, list here the pairings that feature in the fic (warn here if it's het, male slash or female slash). If it's a Gen Fic, remove this line. To tell the difference between the two, notice if the focus of the fic is on a romantic relationship or if it focuses on the other aspects of the story. In case of doubt, classify the story according to the genres it's been tagged: the Romance tag for Shipping, absence of that tag for Gen Fic.
    • Tags: If any are known. This would be things like Lemon, Dark Fic, any known Crossovers etc.

    • An author who writes a lot of sickfics and whump/comfort, usually with very sweet endings once the worst of the sickness or angst is over. Lots of focus on Diluc & Kaeya and Alhaitham and Kaveh. Their long-running series Honorary Knight also features characters getting a much-needed therapist, as well as some interesting headcanons about Aether and Lumine's homeworld.

      • Synopsis: Lumine's sometimes-unfortunate adventures in Teyvat, with co-stars big brother Kaeya and weird bff Paimon, and special guest appearances by many of our other favorite characters. It definitely wanders into AU territory at some point but I don't know where... Whump and hurt/comfort, because that's what I want to write and that's as good a reason as any. Started prior to We Will Be Reunited, so some of the lore is off. I'm not fixing it.

During her final months, he came down with a fever. He saw a doctor not because he felt all that unwell, but because he was her sole caregiver and he didn't want to give her an infection. The diagnosis shocked him, but it made sense in hindsight. The muscle aches and tremors that he had chalked up to stress then painted a different picture. And over the coming weeks, a patch of skin on his chest developed the signature scaling. There was no point in telling Grandmother. It would have distressed her greatly, and there was nothing she could have done to change anything. She died as peacefully as it is possible to die, as she deserved, and he mourned her and the future he'd imagined for himself. Or: an Alhaitham Eleazar AU

    • Synopsis: "What the fuck, Aether? What is this?"
When Lumine awakes, it is the year 500 AE, or Aetherean Era. The world of Teyvat has changed beyond all recognition; the entire realm is under the direct sovereignty of Chāoyuè Xīngchén, or Transcending Star. In passing, the common folk refer to him as His Transcendence, speaking in hushed tones that almost pass for reverence.
But Lumine knows better. It's fear.
Aether narrowed his eyes, the lovely honey in them hardening to freezing gold. "This? This is my destiny, Lumine."
When she finds out who the Chāoyuè Xīngchén truly is, her world is thrown into turmoil and confusion. Aether. Her beloved brother. Aether, who held her hand as they escaped the burning hellfire of their homeworld. Aether, who took care of things. Aether.
"I can't allow this to continue, Your Transcendence," Lumine spat out, wiping sweat from her forehead and raising her blade, the blade sparkling in the stark light, blood falling from the tip like tears.
"So be it, sister," Aether said grimly, summoning his blade in a flash of smattering light.

Descensus averno- the descent to hell is easy. The crawl out, needless to say, is not.

Little does anyone know that these two explosive personalities make what might be the most chaotic tag team in Teyvat. Alternatively, Klee becomes a self proclaimed apprentice to Dottore after nearly crushing him in an avalanche she accidentally caused. He humors her because this is easily the funniest thing to ever happen to him and their destructive interests align when it comes to bombs, plus its kinda sweet this kid keeps trying to help him rip apart machinery and explore. • Synopsis: "In retrospect, it probably starts on that moonless summer night, when Xingqiu's nighttime jaunt brings him under the shadow of a red mountain. Under the shadow of this red mountain, he feels a strange meaning on the wind that stirs him to lift his head, and at that moment, his gaze falls upon the fleeting figure of a yaksha flying through the clouds.
Liyue legends say it is fortune to gaze upon an adeptus in one's lifetime, but Xingqiu is rather inured to the sight after seeing Adeptus Xiao at Hu Tao's funeral parlor every other week. Still, that faint silhouette glowing jade-like under the distant starlight stays with him for hours after, and even when he closes his eyes to sleep, he can still feel the chill of the mountain air sinking into his bones.
For a long time, though, Xingqiu is convinced it all starts when he wakes up one morning filled with the burning desire to perform a live reading of his novel in Liyue Harbor's most public square."

Xingqiu would like to keep his secrets, remain uncursed, and have some fun with his best friend. Unfortunately, in life, things rarely go to plan...
