    Final Fantasy VI (Blind)

    Persona 3
  • "Introducing Ken-kun! Not to be confused with Cancun!"
  • "Yukari, why are you pulling out? I should really be the one pulling out in our relationship!"
  • He encounters a rare enemy. Which escapes immediately after the battle starts. What really sells it is his deadpan reaction.
Jake: Okay, Mister Shadow, how much will you damn you. That is not what I wanted.
  • Then there's Jake's dumbfounded reaction when he realized that he was only one exp point away from getting to the right level to be able to fuse the two personas that he wanted.

The Legend of Zelda Four Swords Adventures (with Josh Jepson, Pcull 44444 and Nintendo Capri Sun)
  • JoshJepson antagonising SuperJeenius' audience in the first twenty seconds of Episode 1.
  • After seeing the opening scroll starts with 'A long time ago', NintendoCapriSun proceeds to sing the first paragraph to the tune of Don McLean's American Pie. The rest of the group soon joins in.
  • NintendoCapriSun singing Billy Joel while Jake, Patrick and Josh argue over the voting.
  • At the end of episode 11, NintendoCapriSun gets a bonus that unleashes a Cucco that randomly steals Force Gems from one player and awards them to another—they dub it the "Fuck-You-Cucco".
  • Pcull frequently trolling the others. Among the highlights:
    • Near the end of Episode 3, as the others are waiting in front of a door, Pcull uses his Fire Rod to burn Josh's ass.
Pcull: You went inside faster! I helped you, by my standards.
    • In Episode 4, the guys must escape a giant bomb explosion by fleeing into a cave. So Pcull picks Jake up and throws him away from the cave. Twice. note
    • In Episode 8, Jake and NCS try to use their Boomerangs to collect Force Gems, only for Pcull to use HIS item—a Magic Hammer—to flatten them for no other reason than to render them unable to collect the Gems.
    • In Episode 11, Pcull is designated to carry the others across poisonous swamp water. As a result, Jake is "accidentally" dropped into the water three times.

    Super Mario 64
  • Part 10 of his Super Mario 64 LP has him accidentally glitching the game while getting the "100 Coin Star" in Dire Dire Docks. Touching the star causes him to somehow teleport underwater. His reaction is priceless.
  • All of his Sequence Breaking, in which he exploits tricks and glitches and basically refuses to do the stars of any world in the intended order. In particular, he breaks Hazy Maze Cave into a million pieces.
  • His reaction when he keeps getting Killed Mid-Sentence while trying to do 100-coin stars, especially in Tiny-Huge Island and Whomp's Fortress.
  • In part 16, in Rainbow Ride, he gets 2 red coins, overshoots and falls off a cloud to his death, which puts you outside the castle and he has to get all the way back to the level entrance. He re-enters...and dies again in exactly the same way.

    Resident Evil 4
  • By sheer coincidence, his fourth save gives him a record of 04:44:44.
  • His first encounter with Dr. Salvador results in an impromptu poem:
"You have a chainsaw, you have a chainsaw."
"It's time for you to die, you have a chainsaw."
"I am probably very dead, I no longer have a head."
    "You had a chainsaw."
    - SuperJeenius
  • Pronouncing the TMP in Resident Evil 4 the "teump".
  • Finding his first crate snake.
  • "Boating with Leon!"
  • His reaction to the Las Plagas infected dogs.
Jake: (Sees a dog standing there) Is that a good thing? Is that- (gets attacked) No, that is a bad thing. That is a bad thing. THAT IS A BAD THING! GET OFF OF ME, HOLY SHIT!!!
    • His reaction to the Novistadors is arguably even better. Especially since he happens to have a phobia of insects.
  • His reaction at Mike's Death aka "Backup" was priceless.
Jake: But he's the one who knows the good bar!
  • At one point, he gets a brief glimpse of the inside of the Merchant's character model. Out of curiosity, he starts adjusting the camera to see it again and gets a close-up of the Merchant's eyes staring at him.
Jake: OH MY GOD, THAT'S TERRIFYING!
  • The Running Gag of him saying whatever action he is doing at the moment is the title of the game.
    • "Welcome back to Opening Doors 4. Let me resident this evil."
  • It takes him a long time to get the full understanding of the game, and even then he still misses many key things that would help him. To people who have played the game, this is both painful and hilarious.

    Eryi's Action

Mario Party 9 (with Josh Jepson)
  • On Boo's Horror Castle, Wario (controlled by the AI) gets a bonus that lets him steal 3 Mini Stars from a rival. As Josh and Jake have been joking about the AI's Artificial Stupidity, Jake sarcastically suggests Wario should choose to steal stars from Jake as he only has one...only for him to actually do it!
  • PENGUINS ON MOTORCYCLES!
  • On Blooper Beach, Josh's reaction when he thinks he's won at the end, only for the AI to have pipped him at the post.
  • On Toad Road, they repeatedly lampshade how anticlimactic it is that they ended up doing the Green Hill Zone level last, and then when fumbling the name of the unlockable level DK's Jungle Ruins at the end...
Josh: Where we can buy DK Jungle...Town...Pants.
Jake: DK Gandalf Town Pants? What? Oppen Gandalf Style!

New Super Mario Bros. 2 (with Josh Jepson)
  • Episode 2 features the two repeatedly trying to murder each other with Koopa shells. In Jake's case, this tends to backfire spectacularly. When they try to get the third Star Coin on a particular level, Jake tosses a shell at Josh, before jumping down and getting hit with the same shell he threw, while in mid-air, killing them both.
  • Jake calling Josh "Observant-pants" in episode 3, and Josh's Fridge Logic about why his pants would be observant (or indeed absorbant).
  • In episode 6, "I think the direction of 'up' is pretty universally recognised!"
  • The Seinfeldian Conversation in episode 9 about spikes wanting to go on a road trip.
Jake: But get this: Spike A was sleeping with Spike B's girlfriend!
Jake: Yeah, right? And Spike B's girlfriend is a total whore! She doesn't even like Spike A! (...) I mean, what am I supposed to say in that situation? "Sorry, Spike B, your spike friend's a whore!"
Josh: But is the road trip going to get cancelled?! That's what I want to know!
  • Also from episode 9, Josh saying "That is the closest I have ever been to a fish" as though it's some terrifying ordeal.
  • All their fails on one level in episode 10, and particularly when Josh has an Evil Laugh after putting his own lyrics to Christmas songs, and Jake claims that Josh has an Evil Plan to 'bring Christmas music to the masses'.
  • The Running Gag of Jake being serene in the underwater levels due to the calming music, or as they put it, "cool, calm and corrected"
  • This discussion from the opening of episode 15.
Josh: Welcome back to New Super Mario Bros. 2.
Jake: Oh, yeah? By the way, fun fact: this is no longer New Super Mario Bros. 2.
    Josh: What is it?
    Jake: mmmmmmmmmmmMMMMRRRRRRRRUUUUUHHHHHHH!
    Josh: (laughs uncontrollably)
  • They then challenge the commentators to come up with a spelling for it and what its sequels would be called.
  • In part 17, Josh kills himself through getting a coin...
Josh: I sacrificed myself for bodies! I mean, uh...
Jake: What? Care to run that past me again?
Josh: I sacrificed my body for bodies...science.
  • Josh's epic laughter at the start of episode 18, including a Call-Back to the intro for Episode 15:
    Josh: EYAAAAAAAH-huh!
Jake: All righty, that's the opening? Okay.
Josh: Hi! Welcome back to the... No, that's not the opening, thank—(Jake starts the level anyway) ...Okay, it is the opening! Well...
    Jake: Gotcha!
Josh: Shit. My name is... AAAAAAAAH!
Jake: And welcome back to Let's Play Josh Jepson!
Josh: No, welcome back to Let's Play Mmmmmmmr.
Jake: No, I thought that's what your name was. I thought your name was "MMMMRRRRRRRRUUUUUHHHHHHH!"
Josh: No, my name is AAAAAAH, but we're playing Mmmmmmr.
Jake: Oh. Well, in that case, I'm "OOH!"
    (cue Josh bursting into laughter)
  • In episode 20, Iggy throws a ball at Josh that bounces him into a pit:
  • The Hurricane of Puns about Lakitu in episode 21.
  • In episode 22, The Moose Truce.
  • In episode 23, Josh pulls off an awesome move to grab the third coin in a level at the last moment when they think they've missed it...and then they die a couple of seconds later as they talk about how awesome it was, meaning they have to do it again.
    • Then after they do get all three coins, they replay the same level over and over looking for a secret exit, only to realise that there isn't one.
  • In episode 24, after Jake has killed Josh once again:
Josh: Jake. After this recording, I will bury you in my backyard.
Josh: I will find a backyard!
  • In episode 26, Josh runs off a ledge and dies...
    Josh: I'm a lemming!
Jake: This just in - Josh is eleven.
Josh: A lemming! A LEMMING! Not eleven!
    Jake: Josh is eleven.
    Josh: Luigi Lemming!
    Jake: Luigi-leven!
Josh: No! Luigi's not eleven, he's like thirty!
    Jake: ...That's creepy!
  • In episode 27, Josh and Jake both accuse the other of knowing how to speak Korean, and Josh gets creeped out by Jake gloating over 'the best way I killed you ever'.
    • Josh thinks "prima donna" means "before Madonna".
  • In episode 29, Josh misses picking up an invincibility Starman, only for the two of them to find it again several minutes later, having got stuck on the strong ocean currents of the level in question.
  • In episode 30, Jake misinterpreting "Rip van Winkle" (and similar) as "R.I.P. van Winkle".
  • Josh's outrage when Jake reveals that he faked the sound of a high-five by just clapping.
  • The Running Gag in several episodes of them referencing ProtonJon's "Death Water" routine and coming up with their own versions.
  • In the finale, while talking about the Koopalings' light weapon turning Mario and Luigi to stone while they're trying to ride a snake, Josh comes out with "If only we could get stoned over the snake!"

    Persona 4 Golden
  • In Episode 8:
Jake: Now that we're out, we can actually... not enter the Velvet Room.
  • Chie's Guard Transition in episode 57.
Jake: We're getting pretty lucky here. I'm also kind of playing it hot and loose here, we could die if we get unlucky... But I really don't want to run the risk of him—
  • In episode 78, Jake finds and gains the advantage on yet another rare Shadow. It seems like the usual routine... until he accidentally escapes the fight. His silence on the results screen (along with the victory music) sells it.
    Jake: ...Crap.
    • He then makes the same mistake and flees from another rare Shadow a few minutes later.
Jake: ...Why? Why do I do these things to myself?
  • In episode 97, during his item quest excavation, he faces off against three Power Castles, then as he mentions in surprise that he didn't realize he'd find the enemy in the dungeon, he has Chie use Heat Wave.. A move of which all of the enemies reflect.
Jake: I AM looking for a Power Castle; I just didn't realize that I would find a Power—
(Has Chie use Heat Wave, making the enemies reflect the attack back at her and nearly kill her)
Jake: ..That is Reflection. I am so sorry, Chie. My sincerest apologies for nearly killing you.
  • Anything involving Kanju.
    • Episode 122. Jake hangs out with Kanju... Only for him to call that evening, telling him to stop being such a lazy bum and get into the TV to chase the killer.
    • Episode 134. For a few episodes, Jake has been calling Kanji by his actual name. Then, he accidentally says "Hanji"... and promptly corrects it to Kanju.
  • At the end of episode 130, Jake starts giving his usual outro, but says Persona 3 FES instead of Persona 4, leading to him laughing uncontrollably and barely sputtering out his Signing Off Catchphrase.
Jake:Alright guys, so next time on Let's Play Persona 3 FE- Persona 3 FES. Oh my god, how long has it been since I said that. (starts laughing) Wow. Okay.
  • In episode 143, does the entire Empress Social Link in one day, which requires fusing Personas with specific skills. As he's fusing Yatagarasu, a fusion accident happens, and he gets Shiki-Ouji. His reaction is what sells it.
Jake:And we will be good and Margaret will be happy and hopefully we can fulfill another one of her wishes and then maybe we'll get to fulfill something else of her-
(A card drops, Igor picks it up, and Shiki-Ouji appears)

    New Super Mario Bros. U

    Final Fantasy 8 Blind
  • Episode 30
Jake: Well...I'm thinking we probably don't actually have to worry about monsters, or bullet holes.
    gets an encounter
Jake: ...or I can just eat my words.
  • Episode 36 has Jake start off playing Triple Triad, and loses. He gives an epic Big "NO!". And then he realizes that the AI is taking his Diablos card. He gives another one, and breaks down sobbing.
  • Episode 48 somewhere between heartwarming and hilarious. Jake's Baby Squall pep talk as he views Squall's memory of being alone as a child.
  • Jake's reactions to Seifer killing Odin and Gilgamesh taking his place.

    Danganronpa Blind
  • Until Jake learns Mondo's name, he refers to him as "corncob head".
    • Basically, anything Mondo.
Mondo: Name's Mondo Owada. Nice to fuckin' meetcha.
    Jake: (suppressing laughter) ...okay...

    (later)
Jake: ...maybe there was some kind of gas leak in the main hall, and we—
    Mondo: (audibly) PIECE'A SHIT!
    Jake: (silence...)
  • From the moment Jake learns the rules of the Killing School Life, he goes completely paranoid, becoming suspicious of anyone and everyone, and even taking notes on anything he finds that might help him murder a classmate. This is in stark contrast to Makoto, who point-blank refuses to do either.
  • Celeste becomes a favorite character for Jake from basically the first time he meets her, due to his apparent love of gambling. It's mildly amusing to see him zero in on her whenever she pops up, but it's absolutely hilarious to see his view of her change dramatically with the milk tea incident.
    • The entirety of her last Free Time event is a stream of hilarity. After being given the business, Jake gives her a Love Status Ring almost jokingly, only to find out it's one of her favorite gifts... and it's followed immediately by Celeste inviting Makoto to her room. The sound Jake makes is almost inhuman.
  • Jake's reaction to getting the Vocabulary skill.
    Jake: Well-hey-a-wha-huh?
  • From part 33:
Jake: *To Genocide Jill* On a scale of one to yes, how murderous do you feel?
    Jill: YES!
Jake: ... I'll take that as a yes.

    Livestreams
  • His ex-girlfriend was simply known as "The Girlfriend." Made more amusing with her Twitch username being TheGirlfriend_TM
  • "The Return of the Stream - 24 Hour Livestream!" (5/2 - 5/3)
    • Jake teaching the viewers how to make risotto via web-cam
      • Even better is the fact that this was decided by strawpoll meaning the chat chose to have him teach them how to make risotto. Also one of the other options on the poll was for Jake to sleep on stream
      • Immediately after that, the strawpoll had him stacking DVD cases as the joke option. Naturally it got picked
    • While playing Wheel of Fortune, the game apparently bugs out and the speech starts playing over top of itself, creating an echo effect.
(In the chat) Nameisunimportant: CCCCOOOMMMEE OONN BIIIGGG MMMONNEY
Jake: This is like, live remixing.
      • Later on, the audio starts skipping and looping.
      Pat Sajak: ...letter in-letter in-letter in-letter in-letter in-letter in-letter in-letter in-letter in-letter in-letter in...
      • The music ends up skipping and looping. Cue Jake turning on rave lights and dancing to it.
  • ' Final Fantasy XIII is a good game' (9/28/15)
    • Cooking with Jake returns as he tries to make a bento from a children's set.
