Main Story

  • The beginning of Izumi's legendary curry agenda.
  • Citron's debut has him mistake the ham in acting for edible ham.
    • "But I am not here to watch a man's strip act."
  • During the second rehearsal with Yuzo, the demon coach says that the climax of Romeo and Julius lacks energy. The Spring Troupe gives various (hilarious) suggestions, ranging from singing (Sakuya), Romeo dying (Masumi), a final boss showing up (Itaru), and stripping (Citron).
  • Citron's take on Yuzo's Tough Love when Spring Troupe decides to sleep together in the theater.
Citron: Nothing feels better than the whipcrack of rough loving! So thrilling!
Tsuzuru: Seriously, stop making it sound so dirty!
  • "The walls have ears, the doors have eyes, and the shadows have Citron."
  • When Itaru plans to leave the company, Sakuya, Masumi, Tsuzuru and Citron devised a play to convince Itaru to stay. The play? A family play of Itaru being a father to Sakuya, Masumi and Tsuzuru... with Citron as the mother.
  • When investigating Room 203 Urban Legend, nobody wants to lead the charge. Matsukawa's idea? Bring in Izumi's 24/7 bodyguard: Masumi.
  • "No running in the halls! I mean, on the walls!"
  • During the Summer Camp, Kazu and Yuki explain how firecrackers work in a violent way, like how they will explode in your face and the sparks will fall on your head. Tenma is so terrified that he asks for helmets and tells everybody to cover their heads. When things turn out to be safe, Kazu and Yuki points out that they're just kidding.
    • Everyone checks out the pinwheel fireworks after that. Yuki explains how it works in a manner similar to explaining the firecrackers earlier. Tenma claims that he isn't falling for that, and when others set them off, the fireworks are working like what Yuki says. Tenma freaks out.
  • Kazu's "secret love technique #25" involves DMing ladies about how hot and steamy the bath is when one has just finished bathing to give off steamy vibes. He tells it to the rest of the Summer Troupe and suggests that they all do it. At first everyone except Misumi objects, but they eventually do it. Cue Izumi getting bombarded with "bath reports."
  • Yuki tells Misumi to marry a triangle. Misumi's reply? Izumi sometimes looks like a triangle.
  • All the adlibbing in the closing night of Summer Troupe's debut show.
  • Citron butchers Sakyo's slogan: "Simple city, fruit tea, temper ants."
  • When handcuffed to each other, there is a moment when Banri and Juza want to go to different places and end up bickering: Banri wants to go to the kitchen for food while Juza wants to go to the bathroom. They then meet Kazu and Misumi, who offer to help them. Kazu goes to the kitchen to grab some snacks for Banri, while Misumi goes to the bathroom for Juza.
  • The Autumn Troupe's group bath is one big Fanservice moment, but also has its hilarious moments. Banri and Juza quarrel about bathing space due to them being big. Then Sakyo, without his shirt and glasses, comes in. The bickering stops, and everyone starts commenting on his looks. Sakyo is annoyed.
  • Sakyo doesn't like it when Omi points out that he's smiling. Then Taichi says that Sakyo has just returned to prickly mode. Sakyo's sudden change of facial expression is hilarious.
  • When Sakyo puts on his costume and finds it fitting, Yuki comments that a money-grubbing yakuza is feeling completely at home like this. Izumi and the rest of the troupe (except Taichi), all continue with "pretty much," annoying Sakyo.
  • When Izumi is about to throw away a bubble wrap, Sakyo suddenly looks sad. Turns out that he loves popping bubble wrap, and he even calls it one of his rarest pleasures in life. Izumi finds it precious. Sakyo's reaction? He threatens to end Izumi if she dares to make any comment about it.
  • When passing out flyers for Autumn Troupe show, Banri and Juza try to draw attention by performing a street act, only to fail horribly. They end up bickering like they usually do, which draws the attention of the passers-by. They run out of flyers in a blink of an eye.
  • Azuma's job is "sleeping with people in the town." Everyone is shocked until Azuma explains everything.
  • Homare getting spooked by Tetsuro.
  • Homare's poem during Azuma's farewell party. "New WAVES...beach WAVES...my hair WAVES...distant, brilliant WAYS...glimmering so...YAY YAY..."
  • When passing out flyers for the upcoming show, Juza terrifies the passers-by, and Banri criticizes him for it. When Banri suggests that he be more like Yuki, who is very successful in passing out flyers, Juza thinks Banri is referring to the way Yuki dresses, but isn't against it.
  • When discussing about wings and wires for flight, Izumi plans to use the idea for the next Winter Troupe play. Tasuku says that they'll become Wing-ter Troupe. Only Hisoka laughs.
  • "Conbobulations!"
  • Hisoka almost called Chikage "April," his name during the Organization days, only to get cut off by Chikage. Everyone started to wonder what he actually wanted to call Chikage, including "Apron" and "Ape."
    • "Splattered brain!" Citron means scatterbrained.
    • When Tasuku said how it should be hard to be friends with Hisoka, Homare said he understood the pain and wanted to present a poem for being "fellow sufferers." Hisoka immediately said how hard it was to be friends with Homare, angering Homare. Then Tasuku added fuel to the fire and further angering Homare.
  • The whole Autumn Troupe wearing animal costumes to save Azami. They make animal sounds in their entrance, and when it's Juza's turn, he doesn't know what sound a bear makes and goes "kumaaaaaaa..." ("beeeeeeaaaarr" in the translation)

Backstage

  • Sakuya [Standing Rehearsal]: Yuki complains about Izumi cooking curry again, which leads to a discussion about what Izumi should cook for dinner. Then Sakuya brings up about croquettes, which everyone agrees. What does Izumi cook at the end? Curry croquettes.
  • Sakuya [About to Bloom]: When Sakuya and Izumi pick up everyone's sheets for laundry, they find a few interesting stashes under the sheets. Hisoka hoards marshmallows, while Masumi hoards Izumi's photos. Izumi is not pleased at the latter. At all.
  • Sakuya [Mischievous Cat]: Sakuya asks Citron, Taichi, and Homare about Alice in Wonderland story, only to end up with a weird mix of different stories.
    • Sakuya's interpretation of Homare's words on the tea party: "A wild tea party where people throw milk and lemons at her and make her dance."
  • Sakuya [Tin-Plated Memories]: "You all look so cereal."
  • Masumi [Waiting for Spring]: Citron defines post-rock as a rock performed by postal workers. Sakuya interprets it as "mailman rocking out while delivering the mail."
    • When Izumi compliments Masumi's memory, Masumi happily says that he uses that memory of his to memorize every single thing he can get about Izumi's personal info.
  • Masumi [A Clockwork Heart]: Masumi's anti-technology rampage. He is pretty much turning into Sakyo, telling Omi to boil water over a fire, telling Kazu and Taichi to stop watching TV and go to sleep, confiscating Homare's hairdryer, among others.
  • Tsuzuru [A Clockwork Heart]: After mixing fruit juice and soda, Tsuzuru yells out his creation dramatically in a cafe. Then he realizes that he's becoming like Itaru.
    Tsuzuru: Ita Ru... Brightdark Vegetal!
  • Tsuzuru [To My Dearest Friend]: Tsuzuru threatening Boyd until he decides to free Tsuzuru. The threats include Tsuzuru planning to make Boyd die a horrible death in the play and selling off the limited-edition characters in his favorite games.
  • Itaru [A Clockwork Heart]: Itaru's costume comes with an eyepatch, which makes Itaru go Chuunibyou with Evil Eye plot and strike over-the-top poses. Tsumugi joins in to teach Itaru...only to get exposed by Tsuzuru very soon.
  • Citron [Alex in Wonderland]: Citron goes wild with the King of Hearts' props and a whip. Tsuzuru says that he's more like a dominatrix, while Itaru says that he's more like the Queen of Pain than the King of Hearts.
    • When Izumi says that this actually kinda fits the King of Hearts, Masumi thinks Izumi is into this kind of thing and offers to do research for her.
    • Meanwhile, Sakuya, throughout it all, is confused to what dominatrix meant and Itaru had to stop Masumi from explaining BDSM to him.
  • Citron [The Spirit of Calligraphy]: When Citron and Misumi rip Sakyo's slogan sign by accident, Citron says that he will punish himself with "self-flatulation."
    • Citron decides to rewrite the slogan. The result? "Cheesecake, Barbecue, Steak."
  • Citron [A Chilling Watermelon Split]: In a game of watermelon splitting, the blindfolded Citron keeps running after Tasuku instead of getting close to the watermelon. Tasuku grows tired of it and runs off with the watermelon, and Citron finally hits the watermelon.
  • Tenma [About to Bloom]: Citron saying "bedfellows" sparks a lot of dirty thoughts around until Sakyo explains the idiom "strange bedfellows."
  • Muku [The Great Sardine Search]: Muku plays Paw Pals, a game about taking care of a cat, to get a better grip of his role. He then decides to show his cute cat to Juza, only to find out that he has left the phone to Citron. Citron then comes with the phone, and Muku shows the cat...only to find out that his cat is now talking like a gangster, surprising both Muku and Juza. Turns out that Citron has been showing the cat gangster movies.
  • Misumi [Welcome to the Circus!]: When Izumi dries Misumi's hair, Masumi happens to be there and starts being a Crazy Jealous Guy. Then he demands that Izumi dries his next. Kazu, Muku, and Azuma come, who all want to get their hair dried by Izumi too. It becomes a line up.
  • Kazunari [Water Me!]: Kazu asks if Izumi wants to be a model when he paints a human figure. Then a freaked-out Muku asks if Kazu actually is looking for nude modeling. Misumi immediately offers himself as a nude model and wants to strip right there.
  • Kazunari [The Great Sardine Search]: Muku's and Yuki's Paw Pals cats end up with Kazu's Verbal Tic after playing with Kazu's cat. Yuki is not pleased.
  • Banri [The Stranger]: Muku happens to come home when Banri and Tenma are trying to make the Evil Laugh of a Mad Scientist with Kamekichi and Izumi. Poor little guy freaks out and thinks that everyone is brainwashed by aliens.
  • Juza [Strawberry Temptation]: Juza walked around with "milk mustache," unaware about it until Tasuku pointed it out.
  • Sakyo [Night Watch]: Misumi gets several boys to do Triangle Calisthenics with him. Kazu has been recording it too, and plans to share it later. Banri thinks of smashing the phone afterwards, and Tenma agrees to help.
  • Sakyo [Ginji the Wanderer]: After having heard the ridiculous yakuza impressions from Taichi, Omi and Juza, he gives them a taste of what actual yakuza act like. They are impressed...and go on to act like yakuza even over dinner.
Banri: Yo, the hell do you think you're doin'?!
Juza: The hell're YOU doin'?! Get that shit outta here!
    Matsukawa: Eek!
Omi: Enough with the salt! This meal's gonna feed the family. Mess it up, and I'll stab you in the face with a soldering i-...Whoa, wait. Sorry, still in-character from rehearsal.
Izumi: Seems like everybody's coming into their roles...maybe a little too much. They're stuck in-character even outside of rehearsals...
Tsuzuru: Honestly, it's kind of scary.
Muku: But it's so many and cool, don't you guys think? If Juchan is doing it, I want to try it, too!...Hey, jerk! Whose shojo manga do you think you're readin'?! Give it back before you find a shank in your side!
    Izumi: M-Muku?!
Tsuzuru: Muku, no! You have to stay pure for the sake of the dorm! Don't go to the dark side!
  • Kengo [Autumn Troupe Ensemble Cast]: Izumi gets Kengo into the ensemble cast by rambling about curry. Then she thanks the god of theater and creator of curry.
  • Tsumugi [Bouquet Full of Wishes]: Izumi giving Tsumugi flowers to thank him for his help in the flower shop, unaware that her flowers mean "please marry me" and "stay with me for life." Tsumugi turns red.
  • Tsumugi [My Master's Mesmerized by Mystery]: Tsumugi has to identify an expensive violin by listening to Matsukawa playing it. He ends up guessing the tune Matsukawa is playing and rambling about musical terms until Tasuku reminds him of what he's supposed to do.
    • Tasuku taking a jab at Matsukawa's Butt-Monkey status by saying that Matsukawa has set up hidden speakers.
      • When it was revealed that Matsukawa is indeed good at playing violins, everybody just goes, "So there's something you can do right after all!"
    • Hisoka has no clue about what forte is and mumbles out, "Four-tay?"
  • Tsumugi [Young Playboy]: The card name. Tsumugi is known for not having many lady friends and being rather awkward around women, to the point that when he is seen with a lady in his [Sympathy for the Angel] backstage, everybody fusses over it a lot.
    • Everyone is very curious about why Tsumugi wants to talk to ladies. Tsumugi is flustered and insists that it's for his role study.
    • What happens at the mixer. Both Tsumugi and Tsuzuru just fail to catch up with what Kazu and his friends are talking about.
      • Tsumugi fails to wink and uses "fam" wrong. Talk about generation gap.
    • When Banri asks what Tsumugi learns from the mixer, Tsumugi admits that he sucks at winking of all things. Banri laughs at him to the point that the usually calm Tsumugi gets Cross-Popping Veins.
    • The backstage ends with Tsumugi saying that Izumi's wink is cute, which makes Izumi blush. Banri's reaction is priceless.
Banri: You went all the way to that mixer to get better at actin' as a playboy... Looks like ya didn't even need the practice in the first place, though, Tsumugi.
  • Tasuku [Winter is Coming]: Tasuku's soccer ball looks like a marshmallow to Hisoka, who eats it in his dream.
    • Azuma coercing Matsukawa into playing soccer in his stead by threatening to tell everybody "that thing Matsukawa did the other day."
  • Tasuku [Grown-Up Field Trip]: When Tasuku finally makes a request to Izumi as the pillow fight MVP reward, Tsumugi comes to poke fun at him with the rest of Winter Troupe. It gets rowdy.
Tsumugi: Oh? And who was the one who was all, "I don't need anything," again?
  • Tasuku [The Big Buff Wolf]: Tasuku walking all the way home with a wolf plush toy by himself. Tsumugi finds it amusing.
    • Tsumugi and Tasuku growling with the wolf plush toy to talk to Ichiro the dog, as part of Tasuku's role study. Tasuku also slips up and growls later when Izumi is about to return the dog to the owner, much to Tasuku's embarrassment.
  • Tasuku [Nocturnality]: Tasuku watched a vampire drama for role study and learned that vampires were weak to sunlight and garlic. Then when Omi cooked garlic, Tasuku yelled that garlic would harm Azuma and Hisoka, whom he thought to be vampires at the moment due to getting too deep into his role. Omi was confused.
  • Hisoka [Suit & Tie]: Hisoka prefers sleeping over playing darts with others, but then he mistakes a little stain on the kitchen wall for a bug. He throws a dart and hits the stain square in the middle, spooking poor Taichi. After that? He says good night and goes to sleep again.
  • Hisoka [Run Through the Night]: After ruining Hisoka's new pillow, Homare tries to apologize to Hisoka by offering his lap as a pillow. Hisoka doesn't like it. Tasuku, Banri, and Juza happen to see the commotion, and Homare declares them as Hisoka's pillow candidates and tells Hisoka to pick his favorite.
    • Before all that, when Hisoka browses for pillows in the store, he tries out every pillow and bed there.
    • The first line of the story is '...and that's where Tasuku threw a tantrum because he hates cheese'. It Makes Just as Much Sense in Context.
  • Hisoka [My Master's Mesmerized by Mystery]: Sakyo brings one cheap and one expensive bottle of wine for Hisoka to identify as part of the "Gentleman Test." Instead of identifying it, Hisoka keeps drinking until the bottle is empty. When asked which one is the expensive one, Hisoka refuses to answer and instead asks for marshmallows. The funniest part? Hisoka happens to empty the expensive one and leaves Sakyo distraught.
    • Before that, Azuma offers to repay Sakyo's favor with his body. It doesn't help that when he says that, hearts are coming out of his sprite.
  • Hisoka [Nocturnality]: Hisoka has been sleeping in a coffin. When Tasuku goes to find him, it turns out that he locks the lid as well. Winter Troupe ends up confiscating the coffin.
    • "Tasuku Delivery Service."
  • Homare [Winter Is Coming]: The ghost in the theater turns out to be Homare, who is looking for inspiration. Homare begins rambling, with Izumi trapped in the theater and begging for a real ghost to shut him up.
  • Homare [Suit & Tie]: When asked about personal goals, everyone talks about improving in acting except Misumi. Hisoka's goal is the most out of place: sleep. Considering his character, well...
    • Homare himself wants to be a living national treasure. It only gets more nonsensical when Muku and especially Misumi comment about his goal, and then Homare takes it up a tad.
  • Homare [Poetic Afternoon]: When Homare claims that people call him modern gentleman in his usual grandiose way, Tsumugi tells him to be careful because there are people who praise you so that you will buy their expensive stuff. Then Tasuku tells Tsumugi to stop babysitting Homare, but Tsumugi argues that he is worried about Homare getting conned. Kazu then asks if they are Winter Troupe's Team Mom and Team Dad. Tasuku's response? "I don't recall having a son like him (Homare)."
  • Homare [My Master's Mesmerized by Mystery]: Homare wants to improve Tenma's beloved bonsai, claiming that it will later win the gold prize, and goes to prune it. Tenma freaks out.
  • Homare [Yes, Sir!]: Homare and Sagishima switch life for a day. The entire Winter Troupe is baffled.
    • "In the name of the sparkly moon!" and "Miraculous Fluffy Fusion!"
    • Sagishima handles the paperwork of the company. Sakyo is more than willing to let Sagishima take over Matsukawa's position as a manager. However, Matsukawa claims that this means he will be taking Homare's place in Winter Troupe. Everybody disagrees.
    • Meanwhile, Shiki is upset with Homare being his butler.
  • Homare [Delightfully Chilled Poem]: Homare goes bonkers over mosquitoes.
  • Homare [Basics of a Capable Man]: "To think that I will be no more than a mere businessman in our play... As a man of the arts, I have never had any business with, well, business."
    • Homare immediately disses Itaru right when Itaru has just come back home.
Homare: Normally, I just think of you as a good-for-nothing gamer, so I completely forgot you are a honest-to-goodness businessman!
    • Homare dragging Tsumugi and Hisoka into his role study as a businessman.
    • Itaru thought Homare went through the suffering of being a businessman in his role study. Instead Homare happily said that he got more inspiration for his poems. Itaru is not pleased at all.
  • Homare [Nocturnality]: Homare using slang to greet Tasuku.
Homare: Nah, bruh. You need not reply. It is all written over your face, dude. L, O, L!
  • Azuma [Winter Is Coming]: Azuma got Banri and Juza to sleep and cuddle with him.
  • Azuma [About to Bloom]: In a game of yakuza, Azuma gives Sakyo a run for his money. Sakyo remarks that there are a few guys like Azuma in his job. His description? "The sort of guys who look frail and always have a smile on their face, yet are crueler than anyone if you cross 'em." Azuma feels offended.
    • Azuma's punishment for bad subordinates is an all-night scolding in bed. He asks Sakyo if he wants to try it.
  • Azuma [The Other Me in the Mirror]: "Settsu, you dee bag!"
  • Azuma [My Master's Mesmerized by Mystery]: Azuma actually identifies the expensive meat on the first try, but he pretends that he doesn't just to get Izumi to hand-feed him the meat.
  • Azuma [Devilish Cupid]: A passerby made a Goofy laugh when she saw Azuma's and Kazu's etude. Azuma, as a demonic cupid, shot an arrow at the passerby's partner, and caused the partner to point out the weird laugh.
    • After seeing the dispute between the two passersby, Azuma wanted to shoot an arrow at Kazu to let him know if the arrow really caused lovers to fight. Kazu was terrified.
  • Azuma [Nocturnality]: Tenma saw Azuma drinking wine. Azuma told him that it was Tasuku's blood, and he even asked Tenma to bare his neck so that he could enjoy his blood. Tenma was terrified.
  • Matsukawa [The Prince of April Fools']: The High School AU backstage starts out pretty grounded with Izumi going to high school and meeting the company members, who are either students, teachers, or school staff. Then Citron appears and claims to be an alien from Planet Si-Tronn. He also has a spaceship.
    • The ending reveals it was a dream Matsukawa had and he wants the troupes to perform it as a mixed play. Sakyo and Izumi immediately shoot the idea down.

Events

  • Alex in Wonderland:
    • Itaru, as the Mad Hatter, says that there are people who pay lots of money for things they cannot see. The example is in-app purchases. Even Izumi points out that Itaru is calling himself out on stage.
    • In the epilogue, Itaru 'helps' Masumi with his love life by inviting him to play a dating sim, so that he can practice dating Izumi. Said game is rigged, causing all the wrong and perverted choices to raise the affection level of the love interest. Masumi then tries out those choices on Izumi in reality.
  • High Spirits at the Hot Spring:
    • The troupe's attempts to keep the drunken guests entertained. This includes Taichi dancing, Omi's and Tasuku's gun show, Banri and Juza bickering (which is never intended for a show to begin with), Homare reciting poems, and Azuma being Azuma.
      • Nobody understands Homare's poems. Homare simply brushes it off by claiming that his poem is too artistic for the audience.
    • Taichi and Homare are paired up together for a table tennis match. Taichi mainly fusses over brainstorming new names for his smash all while Homare supports Taichi's idea. They got curbstomped.
    • Taichi cheers Sakyo in the final match, saying that Sakyo is so manly, only to annoy Sakyo and make him smack Taichi with the bat.
    • In the epilogue, Taichi cooked up a plan to catch Azuma and Sakyo when they just woke up. The mission failed.
Sakyo: You really thought we wouldn't notice a pack of elephants like you sneaking around at the ass crack of dawn?
  • My Master's Mesmerized by Mystery:
    • Homare claims to have been composing poems since he was in his mother's womb.
    • Homare's unique huddle.
Homare: First, we must all raise a hand in the air, like this. Then, we point one leg out in a tendu as so, and lift into arabesque!
    • Drunk Homare in the epilogue.
  • Masumi's birthday lines. Since Masumi is very attracted to Izumi, some of the boys just think that Izumi is the best birthday present for him. Literally.
    • The exception is Yuki, who suggests that Izumi hides instead.
    • Homare just says to hand Izumi over for Masumi.
  • When you open the game, characters will comment on time of day, normally. On April Fool's Day, however, some of them... try to play one over on you. And some will get you, including:
    • Banri suddenly getting buddy-buddy with Juza (to which Juza acts confused), Taichi is absolutely bawling over, and Omi and Sakyo seem to regard with a 'finally, they've argued for way too long'.
    • Similarly, Citron suddenly speaking refined and making less errors than normal. Sakuya is freaking out over it.
    • Also, Itaru claims to have given up games. Tsuzuru doesn't buy it.
    • Masumi claims to not be in love with Izumi... but he can't say it.
    • Yuki claims he's fallen in love. Izumi doesn't buy it.
    • Muku claims to actually be a prince, but he admits he can't actually say it.
    • Misumi claims to hate triangles now and now likes circles, but accidentally slips up and says triangle partially.
    • Kazunari speaking formally and being confused by the word 'fam'.
    • Azuma, being The Gadfly, says he has a tattoo of a woman on his back and offers to strip to let you see it.
    • Tasuku is in shock because Tsumugi is engaged to a woman. Tsumugi admits that Azuma put him up to it.
    • Homare claims to be a descendant of Shakespeare.
    • Hisoka claims to not be tired. Then he goes "zzzzzzzz..."
  • Sparkling Summer Memories:
    • When Haruto appears on the festival, Tenma immediately takes a jab at him by calling him Genta Yamada. Haruto doesn't take that well.
    • The team's performances.
      • Most of the boys can't hold back their laugh at Tenma's mask. Even Tenma points it out when the performance is over.
      • Tenma is a hybrid ghost who scares people while making them laugh.
  • A Clockwork Heart:
    • "Sakyo is indeed overrated." Citron means "overprotective."
    • The origin of Tsuzuru's and Citron's Portmanteau Couple Name Citrun. As pointed out by Tsuzuru, it's 90% Citron.
    • "As serious as a fart attack!" Citron means "heart attack."
    • The ManMan Grand Prix. Citron opens with his usual slip-up: "Leslie and Anderson!" He means "Ladies and Gentlemen."
      • Homare getting annoyed at having his manzai pair name shortened. He then recites the full name in all its glory, only to get immediately poked by Hisoka's "Already forgot."
      • Even funnier when you realize that the name of Tasuku-Homare manzai team actually means cheese. Remember the Noodle Incident beginning of Hisoka's [Run Through the Night] backstage? Tasuku was said to throw a huge tantrum because he hated cheese.
      • The complete name is Grande Fromage Brioche Fermata, which is literally, "Grand Cheese Bread Pause."
      • Sakyo says that there are many young people among the audience and slowly points them out one-by-one...and stops at Matsukawa because he is the exception. Matsukawa is younger than Sakyo.
      • Masumi's bias when voting the best pair. Even Sakyo points it out.
      • The puns by Ten-ichi pair.
      • Citron telling Tsuzuru to imitate Yuzo, all while he imitates Tetsuro.
      • The telephone pole date with Kamekichi. Masumi isn't pleased at all.
  • Into The Night!:
    • Despite everyone's best efforts, Mankai Company ends up losing the night walk because Itaru, Sakuya, and Tenma got separated from their groups and got lost, making all groups arrive late thus docking them tons of points. Their punishment from Sakyo? Have the three wear giant bunny pajamas and perform on Veludo Way to earn back the money they lost.
    • The reasons they all got lost in the first place should get a chuckle as well. Itaru was trying to get a phone reception in the mountains, Sakuya was trying to catch up to Masumi who decided to go ahead and try to meet upw with Izumi; and Tenma had his usual direction skills mess with him again.
  • Nocturnality:
    • Izumi and the rest of the Winter Troupe were at Azuma's room for coloring books. When Azuma's color pencils went missing, they searched Azuma's room and found a whip. Considering the kind of person Azuma is, everyone is shocked although as Azuma says later, it is a riding crop. Doesn't stop Azuma from being Azuma.
    • Hisoka and Homare bickering about coloring. Whereas Hisoka complains about how Homare's colors hurt his eyes, Homare complains about how Hisoka's colors are almost grayscale.
  • hAve A greAt trip:
    • Homare catching a thief with a hug. All because he mistook the thief for a fan.
    • Misumi carrying Itaru around like a sack of rice.
Itaru: Misumi and I get a buddy bonus when we're together, which activates our special skill, "Over-the-Shoulder Rice Sack Formation." It boosts our speed.
    • Tenma getting lost in the airport at the end of the trip. Sakyo was none too pleased, and when they got back to the dorm, Tenma had to wear the bunny pajamas again.
  • 3 Cheers for Mankai Company!:
    • The boys decide to make a message book for the anniversary party, with each actor having one page. Masumi manages to put a lot words on his page... in very small black handwriting that look like a witch's incantation to them.
    • Izumi puts on a surprise as well: she recreates all of the plays up to this point with the help of Tetsuro, Kamekichi, Matsukawa, Yuzo, and Sakoda. When they get to the Romeo and Julius performance, the others have to prevent Masumi from going on stage and playing Julius.
Sakuya: Hm? Did they put chirping sound effects in this scene?
Tsuruzu: That's just Masumi grinding his teeth like a madman.
  • Tasuku admitting that he always copies Tsumugi's homework at school at the end of Summer lines.
  • Banri's birthday lines. Azuma offers a fight ticket for Banri so that he can fight Juza. Then Misumi just wants to outright fight Banri.
  • In Yuki's birthday lines, Tenma mentions Yuki gave him a long list of things he wants for his birthdays.

Cross-Backstage

  • Sakuya & Tasuku: When Tsumugi wonders why Sakuya and Tasuku become good friends very fast, Citron says that it's because of a special event. With Itaru around, it quickly evolves into a chat about gaming terms. Tsumugi is clueless.
    • The way Citron describes what a special event is.
Citron: You know, an event that doesn't normally occur!
  • Yuki & Azuma: Tenma sees Yuki in a beauty mask and freaks out, screaming, "It's Freddy Krueger from Freaky Friday the 13th!" Yuki even points out that Tenma is mixing up different franchises at once.
    • After Tenma runs away from Yuki, he bumps into Azuma, who is in a beauty mask as well. Cue Tenma screaming and running away again.
  • Sakyo & Homare: Sakyo and Kazu are brainstorming about Mankai members intro page, then Homare jumps in and gives several members a hilarious Catchphrase.
    • Sakyo: "The Bespectacled Bad Boy! He'll Protect Your Wallet...and Your Heart!"
    • Hisoka: "The Mysterious Orphan: Friendly King of Ellipses!"
    • Tsumugi: "The Keyholder to Tasuku's Past! A Kind Young Man Who Once Lost His Way..."
    • Azuma: "Mothers Hate Him! What are the Secrets Behind his Ageless Look?"
    • Tasuku: "A Stubborn Acting Nut with a Dark Princely Past!"
    • Kazu: "The Stylish Partyboy! As Loose with His Words as He is with His Life!"
    • Misumi: "The Prince of Triangular Constellations! All Your Triangles Belong to Him!"
    • Yuki: "The Sharp-Tongued Tailor Boy! His Knowledge and Costume Budget Knows no Bounds!"
    • Muku: "Everyone's Favorite Soft Boy! Will He Grow to the Heights of Juchan? Only Time Will Tell!"
    • Tenma: "The Super Skilled, Super Sassy, Superstar Tenma! His Weakness? Ghosts!"

Anime

  • The short skit performed by the Spring Troupe to keep Itaru from leaving was already funny in the game. Then the anime took it further by having Citron dress up as Izumi.
  • Itaru's Bishie Sparkle during the TV interview. And as everyone watched it in the TV, Itaru just sat there on the sofa, with a smirk.
  • Kamekichi got his own seat, as an audience.
  • Citron crossdressing as Rosaline during the Romeo and Julius play.
  • The Misumi chase scene. Itaru's reaction in particular. Itaru does nothing to stop Misumi, and when Misumi jumps over him, he just goes, "Impossible."
  • Tenma and Yuki bicker about the dorm room, all while Misumi slides across the background in various ballerina poses.
  • During the fireworks scene, Tenma pulls out a helmet out of nowhere and wears it.
  • Misumi wants to give Tenma a gigantic traffic cone.
  • When Banri and Juza were handcuffed to each other, Izumi was robbed. Banri and Juza went to chase the robber including walking on and jumping over fences and rooftops. When they came across kids, they stopped and fell over.
    • The robber stopped when the traffic light was red.
    • When Sakyo finally decided to free them, they bickered again and Sakyo was pissed. Banri and Juza went to hide behind Omi.
  • During Winter Troupe audition, Juza greets Tsumugi and Azuma. Banri points out how he will scare off the potential members, and the two argue. Sakyo confidently says that he will handle this...only to get pushed away by Taichi.
  • Homare reciting poems when he was first introduced, complete with dramatic poses and a Leitmotif. Later during the move-in, he sang a poem all while striking dramatic poses and the Leitmotif played in the background.
  • Hisoka sleeping, waking up, sleeping, waking up, and sleeping again. He later fell asleep on the ladder of his bed.
  • Young Tsumugi's and Tasuku's skit with a devilish doll. Tsumugi started off with Chuunibyou concepts, and Tasuku asked for something else that made more sense. Tsumugi simply told Tasuku to just follow his lead.
  • Everyone's face when Matsukawa talks about the urban legends.
  • Homare and Azuma throwing marshmallows at Hisoka to feed him. Azuma keeps doing it while Homare watches him until Tasuku stops them.
  • Tsumugi and Tasuku trying to get along in front of the Torment Doll so that they can get out of the "Groundhog Day" Loop. Tsumugi complained how Tasuku looked like a demon and gave him a mirror. Then Tasuku made a Twinkle Smile in front of the mirror.

Mini Chat, Cash Earning Minigame, Etc

  • Citron's Alex in Wonderland Mini Chat with Hisoka: Citron asks if Hisoka knows ninjutsu. Hisoka then shows his "Ninja Art: Deep Slumber." Considering what kind of person Hisoka is, well... To cap it all off, Citron mimics it.
  • Tenma's Sardine Search Mini Chat: He claims to be able to pull off a good show as a vending machine.
  • Homare's High Spirits at the Hot Spring Mini Chat with Sakyo: Even when Sakyo is already asleep, Homare recites his poems like usual. Cue an angry Sakyo, who then wonder how Hisoka and the entire Winter Troupe deal with Homare's antics.
  • Tsumugi's My Master's Mesmerized by Mystery Mini Chat: Tsumugi wants to work on being "more shady." Then he realizes what he has just said.
  • Tsumugi's Sparkling Summer Memories Mini Chat with Sakyo: Tsumugi knows one too many info about Sakyo, who is helping a stall at the festival. Sakyo is shocked and asks Tsumugi to not tell anyone, which Tsumugi agrees (not without interrupting Sakyo before that because he just knows what Sakyo is about to say). Sakyo promises to return the favor with something bribe-worthy.
  • Tenma's Captain Sky's Pirates Mini Chat with Homare: Homare literally drags Tenma just so that he can wash his hair with carrot shampoo.
  • Misumi's Captain Sky's Pirates Mini Chat with Tasuku: Misumi tries to lift Tasuku and fails.
  • Sakuya & Citron Cash Earning chat: "I need to renew my pizza." It's supposed to be visa, but Sakuya doesn't get it and suggests that Citron sees resident chef Omi for it.
    • The entire chat is so chaotic and nonsensical that it's funny.
  • Masumi & Citron Cash Earning chat: Citron has been stalking Masumi. Talk about Laser-Guided Karma.
  • Chikage & Citron Cash Earning chat: "I told Tsumugi I would get bombs for the garden! It will burst beautifully!" Rather than correcting Citron's mistakes, Chikage simply goes with the flow and says that they should gather spectators for it.
  • Juza & Sakyo Cash Earning chat: Both of them have a hard time with Fanservice. Well...
  • Homare & Tasuku Cash Earning chat: Homare's trigonometry poem. "Give a sine for me to cosine our tangent." Tasuku is annoyed and confused, but Homare simply tells him that his (Tasuku's) brain has turned into muscles.
    • Also, Tasuku's "And I suddenly feel a wave of anxiety..." as a response to Homare's "Why, I suddenly feel a wave of inspiration coming on!"
  • Hisoka & Tasuku Cash Earning chat: Hisoka complains that Tasuku is an extremely hard pillow and asks him to soften a bit. Tasuku is not fond of that idea because it's his muscles that make him a very hard pillow. Later on, Hisoka dreams that Tasuku is a marshmallow. Tasuku is creeped.
  • Hisoka & Misumi Daily Login Lines: Rhombus marshmallow.
  • The theater version of Nocturnality has Winter Troupe's doodles on the company presentation board in the background.
  • The fact that you can change the original cast of a play with other character when you watch it. It can be as hilarious as having the same actor play all the roles, an actor play against his type (such as having Sakuya, Muku, and Tsumugi playing as the gangsters in The Roman Episode), or messing around with the context (e.g. the Genie in Water Me will have the lead and co-lead for the play wed near the end).
    • In a similar vein, you can change the costumes of the character in the cash earning minigame but it won't change the conversations as long as you pick the same character, just a different card of the same character, making their outfit different. Like this. note
Caption at the source of that image: Turns be tabling hard today...
  • After performing a show, you will get to see a line-up of the show team characters on the screen. With some character arts having large objects in the way (e.g. the chair in Citron's [Longing From the Carriage Window] SSR, etc), they may end up blocking other characters from the sight.
  • According to Word of God, Citron's mistakes are hard to translate because many are based off Japanese idioms. One that doesn't make the cut is a line between Citron and Itaru: "Itaru, meeting you was..."
What Citron meant to say: "...a once in a lifetime encounter."
What Citron actually says: "...worth 1 yen."
  • The Leader Conference audio drama. Tsumugi mimics Homare. On top of that, he mimics Izumi right before Izumi comes to see how the conference goes.
  • The Official Fanbook Party has an interview for each of the characters. One of Tasuku's answers is that the only thing "adult" about Winter Troupe is their average age. It is hilariously true and a Hypocritical Humor because Tasuku and Tsumugi themselves often argue about who draws Zabi better to the point that they want to have a competition and get Izumi to judge it.
