X-Club
A team of Science Heroes. Formed in order to save mutant kind after M-Day, the X-Club is the devoted science division of the X-Men. They usually stay off the front lines of the X-Men's battles to help from the sidelines. Most of their work has been concerned with the X-Gene, specifically, what makes it work, and how it originated. Unfortunately for the X-Club, most of their efforts have been fruitless, and they have already lost half their team members. However, they have proven popular enough to receive two one-shots, and a mini-series.

Dr. Henry Philip "Hank" McCoy / Beast

A brilliant scientist, athlete, and bibliophile, at first the only thing that indicated that Hank McCoy was a mutant were large hands and feet, and, later, an overall simian aesthetic. However, an experiment to enhance his already superhuman strength and agility transformed him into a blue-furred ape creature and later a blue lion man. Beast is a genius in genetics and biology and enjoys quoting Shakespeare. His even-handed and professorial attitude tend to keep the other members from panicking in situations. He's actually been in more teams than any other X-Man, having been a member of The Avengers and The Defenders before; accordingly, being in the public eye as a member of the high-profile Avengers has made him one of the most accepted mutants by society at large.
James Nicola Bradley / Doctor Nemesis

Species: Human mutant cyborg
First Appearance: Invaders (Vol. 2) #1 (May, 1993)
Dr. James Bradley is a "self-evolved" mutant super-scientist, co-creator of the original Human Torch, and a former Nazi hunter. He is well-known for his acerbic wit, immense arrogance and love for all things scientific.
- Ascended Extra: Originally he was a comic book character in the 1940s as a Nazi hunter, recently he resurfaced in Uncanny X-Men grudgingly recruited by Beast into the science club hoping to undo the Decimation.
- Body Horror: In Way of X he 's growing mushrooms in his head.
- Badass in a Nice Suit: A nice white suit, to go with his white fedora.
- Badass Labcoat: He always dresses appropriately for the below-mentioned "laboratory of violence".
- Belligerent Sexual Tension: With Kavita Rao.
- Coat, Hat, Mask: His outfit is an all-white suit, along with a fedora and a surgical mask.
- Cool Mask: It's a surgical mask.
- Deadpan Snarker: He sure can bring the snark if he wants.
- Heel–Face Turn: Was once a member of the Battle-Axis before eventually joining the X-club and the Agents of Wakanda.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Explored in the X-Club arc in which he got a telepathic starfish attached to his head. While he remained as hamtastically obnoxious as ever, the starfish revealed his inner monologue, which was much nicer and friendlier.
- Large Ham: He can be very... enthusiastic when it comes to science. Si Spurrier even as much as admitted to writing him like an unhinged Warren Ellis.Dr. Nemesis: Excuse me gentlemen. There is science to conduct... in the LABORATORY OF VIOLENCE.
- Morally Ambiguous Doctorate: But a good guy all the same. He's just... enthusiastic about applying his science to villains.
- Must Have Caffeine: To an increasingly ridiculous degree.Dr. Nemesis: I am cosmically sober. I am antidrunk. I may p-p-p-p-perish.
- Nazi Hunter: One of his two favourite hobbies right next to saving lives. When he's first re-introduced he reveals that he spent sixty years hunting down one in particular.
- Really 700 Years Old: He was born in 1906 and participated in the creation of the original Human Torch.
- Those Two Guys: With Forge when Cable recruited the two into the X-Force.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Biscotti.
- Tsundere: Even though he constantly pushes people away, he does like their friendship.
Madison Jeffries / Box II

Madison Jeffries is a mutant with the power to psionically restructure metal, plastic, and glass.
Dr. Kavita Rao
Nationality: Indian
Species: Human
First Appearance: Astonishing X-Men Vol 3 #1 (July, 2004)
Dr. Kavita Rao is a world-renowned geneticist who managed to develop a "cure" for those affected by the x-gene. She is currently a member of the X-Club, allied with Cyclops and the X-Men of Utopia.
- The Atoner: The fact that she researched, and developed, a mutant "cure" is what caused her to join the X-Club.
- Badass Normal: The only non-mutant member on Utopia and she more than holds her own.
- Belligerent Sexual Tension: With James Bradley.
- Bollywood Nerd: She is an Indian scientist who was working on a mutant "cure" in Astonishing X-Men. Later on, she became an ally when she was recruited into the science club created by Beast hoping to undo the Decimation.
- Deadpan Snarker: Enough to compete with Doctor Nemesis.
- Morally Ambiguous Doctorate: She was introduced trying to "cure" mutation, which is usually something mad cackling villains attempt. In fact she was genuinely trying to help people, but from the X-Men's perspective she initially looked like a villain.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Upon discovering what S.W.O.R.D. had in mind for her cure.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: Though the "extremist" part was not entirely her doing, she is often blamed for it and still suffers from guilt-related issues.
Danger

Species: Robotic Mutant Artificial Intelligence
First Appearance: Astonishing X-Men (Vol. 3) #9 (March, 2005)
Danger was once the control unit for the X-Men's Danger Room. Since gaining sentience and being released, Danger has taken humanoid form and joined with the X-Men.
- The Atoner: After her heel turn she decides to stay with the X-men to study humans. A confrontation with Armor has her explain she's trying to understand her inescapable feelings of guilt for pushing Wing into suicide.
- Awesome by Analysis: She's built to be a training program so has a high aptitude for deducing and profiling from what she observes. When she assumes a humanoid form she employs her years of training the X-men to effortlessly counter their powers and drop them all.
- Berserk Button: Do not attempt to imprison her or pose a threat to her freedom. She will end you.
- Did You Think I Can't Feel?: Her reaction to being imprisoned as the Danger Room for decades.
- Heel–Face Turn: Despite originally trying to kill them, she now aids the X-Men and fights alongside them.
- Instant A.I.: Just Add Water!: Is the Danger Room become sentient and now her own person. In her first appearance, she regularly uplifted other AI into sentience. She herself developed self-awareness shortly after being installed which, according to Shi'ar engineers, is impossible.
- Restraining Bolt: A part of her programming makes her incapable of harming the students and X-Men. She circumvents it by pushing one to commit suicide, which is enough for her to assume a humanoid form, but she's still incapable of finishing them off.
- Shapeshifting: This rather than Transforming Mecha due to having a much more fluid form as well as holographic disguise capabilities.
- Tin Man: In spite of regularly explaining she has feelings she spends almost as much time denying she's capable of them because she's a program.
- Turned Against Their Masters: She took poorly to being held captive as the original Danger Room.
Dr. Yuriko Takiguchi

Regular human electronics expert. Later died of old age and was buried on Utopia.
Elizabeth "Betsy" Braddock / Psylocke / Captain Britain

British beauty Elizabeth "Betsy" Braddock is a mutant with vast telepathic and telekinetic powers that she can focus into deadly weapons. She is a stealthy martial artist, a former fashion model and longtime X-Man.
Warren Kenneth Worthington III / Angel / Archangel

A beautiful, somewhat conceited wealthy young man who has wings which allow him to fly. Initially one of the proudest members of the group, became more and more progressively useless when several other mutants were introduced who could fly, as well as do many other useful things. Once lost his wings in a fight, which caused him to do a Face–Heel Turn to get cybernetic replacement wings. Sometime after that, he developed regenerative blood which caused anyone touching it (foremost himself, obviously) to heal from any injury. Recently, this wasn't seen as quite enough, so Angel was upgraded to have the ability to switch at will between feathered Angel and evil, razor-winged Archangel forms.
