Demons
The Denizens of New Jerusalem's attached Hell, released upon that world on September 3rd, 2018.
- Always Chaotic Evil: With a singular exception, Demons are all irredeemable bastards bent on destroying and defiling the works of God.
- Demonic Possession: They are each a powerful soul who has taken over a human body, though there is a spectrum to the nature of the possession. They can be in absolute control, having destroyed the human soul whose body they hijacked, and at the other end of the scale are the Demons who have completely synchronized with their human half and become one.
- The Legions of Hell
- Our Demons Are Different: They rebelled against Paradise and were punished by being locked in Hell away from the light of God. The Deceiver responded to this by releasing the rest of the Demons upon humanity to destroy and enslave them.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: The single common physical trait all Demons share is having red eyes in their human form, but they are capable of concealing their eye color when they want to hide their nature.
A Demon possessing the shared body of three humans. Together they are an agent of Yggdrasil operating in Danesville.
- Ascended Demon: Xena is the single Demon on Earth who is working on the side of good against the Deceiver and the rest of the Demons, even if it is mostly unwillingly.
- Cannibalism Superpower: Xena's power was to absorb people's minds and abilities. After absorbing two people, they were able to lock her out of using it.
- Fiery Redhead: Andy
- Humanity Ensues: Xena was supposed to be a great warrior for The Legions of Hell but her first two victims locked her down and forced her to work for Humanity, and have even started working her towards her Demon soul achieving redemption.
- Nominal Hero: Xena is only an Anti-Hero because Trisha and Andy (and Roxy, externally) are giving her no choice but to put her destructive habits to good use.
- Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette: Trisha
- Perky Goth: Trisha wears the darkest clothes but is the most cheerful of the three about their situation.
- Playing with Fire: Andy was a pyrokinetic.
- Restraining Bolt: Trisha and Andy have put a lock on Xena's ability to absorb others.
- Secret Identity: Xena tries very hard to keep the fact that she has more than one identity in her head a secret. Roxy blackmailing her with the threat of being revealed is one of the major things keeping her loyal to Roxy and/or the organisation.
- Shapeshifter Identity Crisis: Whichever persona is currently dominant tends to be the one presenting their form, though there are exceptions when they are trying to hide their situation.
- Technically Naked Shapeshifter: As Trisha points out at one point, their clothes are all created and absorbed during the process of shifting from form to form. The Ifrit, their combat form, forgoes even the appearance of clothes altogether.
- Voices Are Mental: Subverted. It seems to be the case at first but there are times when one of the identities uses another's voice to speak while maintaining their cover.
- Voluntary Shapeshifter: Trisha was a shapeshifter.
A Demon speedster who attempted to murder Roxy after she first returned to Danesville.
