Left to right: Lucy-May, Kate, Tob, Annie, Ben, Arthur and Clara
  • Animal Lover: Lucy-May, Kate and Ben. The Popple family work Down on the Farm, and they has pet sheep, koalas, dogs and even dingos. When Arthur father sells the sheep, Lucy-May becomes so upset she runs away from home.
  • Annoying Younger Sibling: Lucy-May and Kate are this to Clara. They have an inability to sit still and in the first episode, earn Mr. Pettywell's ire by laughing at his misfortune, while Clara keeps shushing them.
  • Cheerful Child: Lucy-May, Kate and Ben stay happy no matter what happens. Even Clara, who's a Perpetual Frowner, has her moments of this.
  • Children Are Innocent: Part of the reason Lucy-May and Kate are so cheerful is because they're oblivious to how badly Arthur is affected by poverty.
  • Color-Coded Characters: Lucy-May is pink, Kate is green, while Clara and Ben are blue.
  • Cool Big Sis: Kate is this to Lucy-May, but both sisters view the aloof, pretty Clara as this trope too.
  • The Cutie: Clara is seen as an ethereal beauty, and Lucy-May and Kate are seen as this.
  • Farmer's Daughter: Arthur is a farmer and all his kids (except Tob) help out on the farm.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: Lucy-May is the ditzy foolish sibling, while Clara and Kate are more responsible and clever.
  • Genki Girl: Both Lucy-May and Kate are full of energy and hard to disappoint.
  • Good Parents: They're not perfect and can be strict, but are devoted to their children and prioritize them above everything else:
  • Happily Married: Annie and Arthur. Annie can be hard on him, but he knows it's from a place of love and loves her dearly. Likewise, she appreciates his hardworking spirit and drive to do whatever he can to ensure the family's welfare.
  • Kid Hero: Lucy-May is 7, Kate is 12, Clara is 16, Ben is 12 and Tob is 2. Aside from Tob, they all do various things to help out their nighbours and keep the family together.
  • Massive Numbered Siblings: Lucy May is one of five siblings (six if you count the deceased sister from the book).
  • Pink Girl, Blue Boy: Lucy-May primarily wears pink and Ben primarily wears blue. Though Clara is in-between, being a case of True Blue Femininity. Tob also wears blue. Kate, however, wears green.
  • Rags to Riches: They try to achieve this for most of the anime. And eventually do, thanks to Lucy-May.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Lucy-May and Clara have Arthur's hair, while Ben, Tob and Kate have Annie's reddish locks. Lucy-May and Kate also have similar faces.
  • Those Two Girls: Kate and Lucy-May are almost always together, though this is likely due to their similar ages.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: Lucy-May's the tomboy to the girly Kate and Clara.
  • Wealthy Ever After: The anime ends with the Popples finally attaining farmland and becoming rich after four and a half years after arriving in their new found home.

    Lucy-May Popple

Voiced by: Minori Matsushima (Japanese), Stéphanie Murat (French), Giuppy Izzo (Italian), Susanne Beck (German), Sanaa Younes (Arabic), Gianina Talloni (European Spanish), Nahid Amirian Shamsabadi (Iranian)

The main character, a 7-year-old English girl who moves to Adelaide, Australia, with her family. She's bubbly and cheerful, even in the most bleakest of circumstances, and has a heart of gold even despite her selfish personality.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lucymay.png
  • Affectionate Nickname: Everyone calls her Lucy.
  • Amnesiacs are Innocent: Lucy May is noticibly more bashful and kinder after her memory loss, endearing her to the Princetons.
  • Animal Companion: While she has many, most prominently it would be her dingo Little. She treats him like an adorable little puppy.
  • All-Loving Hero: Lucy-May is a friend to humans and animals alike. Many speak of her kindness, and she's always ready to put the wellbeing of others above her own.
  • Berserk Button: She loves animals, and people who harm them make her furious. When Mr. Pettywell's dog Happy kills one of her baby goats, she's furious and declares she hates him.
  • Blithe Spirit: Lucy-May's happy, eager attitude rubs off the residents of Adelaide, Australia, and they're all delighted by her presence.
  • Book Dumb: When she attends school for the first time, she finds math terribly hard and makes her teacher angry.
  • Braids of Action: She wears her hair in plaits and is a tomboyish wild child.
  • Congruent Memory: Lucy-May regains her memory when she returns to the scene of the accident and witnesses Little, her dingo. Little jogs her memory and she suddenly remembers that she's a Popple.
  • Cuddle Bug: Lucy-May loves hugging her sister Kate, her dingo Little and her parents.
  • Dreaming of Things to Come: As an amnesiac, she frequemtly dreams of her old life. She dreams of Prospero the cat turn into Little, and also has frequent flashbacks of her and Kate playing like they used to.
  • Dub Name Change: She became Karine in the French dub.
  • Friend to All Living Things: Her list of Animal Companions include her hamster from England, Mash, her goats Sticky, Pansy, and Soppy, her sheep Snowflake, and her dingo, Little. Not to mention, various ducks and chickens.
  • Heartwarming Orphan: The Princetons believe Lucy-May to be this, and they're in for a shock when she isn't and has living parents.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Lucy-May has a tendency to be self-centered, but she will always do the right thing, even if it doesn't make her happy. The biggest example of this would be when she loses her memory and ends up in the care of the wealthy Princeton family. They offer to adopt her and raise her as their daughter. Lucy-May wants to be with her blood family, the Popples, but thinks that if she agrees to be adopted, the Princetons will gift the Popples some of their farm property (hence solving their financial issues), so she lies and says she agrees. Frank Princeton, however, sees through her ruse and is so impressed by her love for her family that he allows her to stay with them and gives it to them for free.
  • Kid Detective: When Mr. Pettywell's fortune is stolen, Lucy-May is able to correctly identify Adam as the primary suspect. It turns out he colluded with the robbers to burgle him.
  • Nightmare Sequence: In one of her dreams, Lucy encounters Kate, Clara, Annie, Arthur, Ben, and Tob who turn away from her and show their backs. They pretend not to know her and no one tries to help Lucy-May as she struggles underwater. In a severe case of Mood Whiplash, next, the scenery changes to a field, and she's running alongside the Princeton's cat Prospero. Prospero suddenly turns into Little, and Lucy there's something familiar about it's face.
  • Pink Is Feminine: She mostly wears pink and her straw hat has a pink ribbon.
  • Plucky Girl: Lucy-May is this constistently. Arthur says she can't have a dingo unless it's trained? She domesticates it. She can't speak to Hercules because of the Language Barrier? She communicates non-verbally. No matter what problem she faces, Lucy-May always tries to solve it.
  • Replacement Goldfish: Sylvia Princeton can't help but be reminded of her dead daughter Emily whenever she looks at Lucy May, and wants to adopt her.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Lucy-May prefers playing at the farm for fun, but she also wears a lot of pink, styles her hair in braids and also likes wearing dresses.
  • Trauma-Induced Amnesia: Word of God is that this played a role in Lucy-May becoming an amnesiac, not just hitting her head against a carriage.
"The phenomenon of Lucy losing her memory is not just because she hit her head against a carriage, but because her father sold the sheep that she cherished so much. It didn't happen all of a sudden, it was because she felt a great deal of sadness and disappointment at the loss, and had a desire to forget about it."

    Kate Popple

Voiced by: Rihoko Yoshida (Japanese), Unknown (French), Francesca Guadagno/Emanuela Baroni (Italian), Reinhilt Schneider (German), Soad Jawad (Arabic), Unknown (European Spanish), Fariba Shahin-Moghadam (Iranian)

The second oldest daughter of the Popple family. She is confident and passionate, and always there to protect her little sister Lucy.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/katepopple.png
  • Bratty Half-Pint: Kate is an eager Troll who's prone to stirring up trouble whenever she feels like it.
  • Determinator: In the first three episodes, Kate shows herself to be someone foul-mouthed and brattish, no matter how much her mother reprimands her. No matter how much she's told off, she sees it through that she gets what she wants.
  • Fiery Redhead: She has reddish-brown hair, and is the most outgoing of the Popple girls.
  • The Gadfly: Kate has a penchant for being cheeky and making people laugh.
  • Hidden Depths: In the first episode, Kate explains to Lucy-May that her hamster is going crazy because he has to hibernate and in Australia, the summers periodically are swapped with the winters. This proves that despite her exterior, she's well-read and knows a lot about nature. This is also consistent with her academic excellence in school.
  • The Hyena: All the time, but especially in the first episode - Mr. Pettywell, their Arch-Enemy, orders his workers to construct a house, only for it to fall over him. Upon hearing Lucy-May and Kate laugh hysterically, Mr. Pettywell stares at them furiously, balls his fists and turns a deep shade of red as he steps towards them...only to bark at his construction workers to fix the damage or he'll take away their supper and payment. This just makes Lucy-May and Kate laugh even more.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Kate always has a cheshire grin on her face. Unfortunately, when she's smiling, it often means she's up to no good.
  • Playful Cat Smile: Kate's default smile is one (:}). She's also a born prankster.
  • Redhead In Green: While Lucy-May often wears pink, and Ben, Clara and Tob often wear blue, Kate's clothes are almost always green. She also has reddish-brown hair that she inherited from her mother.
  • The Smart Guy: Unlike her sister, she's a mathematics genius. She also demonstrates her knowledge of animals on several occassions.
    Clara Popple

Voiced by: Sakiko Tamagawa (Japanese), Magali Barney (French), Loredana Nicosia (Italian), Susanne Beck (German), Haifa Adel (Arabic), Unknown (Latin American Spanish), Minoo Ghaznavi (Iranian)

The oldest daughter of the Popples. She's a bit reserved compared to her little sisters.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/clara_24.png
  • Aloof Big Sister: While Lucy-May and Kate are ragtaggy-as-hell and love to get into mischeif, Clara is demure and aloof, because she's the oldest and more aware that the Popples are slipping into poverty. She has moments of being a cheerful girl, but she's still distant to her parents and siblings, and is the first to leave the Popple house for good after her marriage with the sailor John.
  • Aloof Dark-Haired Girl: She has dark brown hair and is closed off to Lucy-May and Kate, while being closer to her parents. To be fair, it's understandable why she views them as annoying.
  • Aww Look They Really Do Love Each Other: She has a stoic personality but isn't above showing her parents she loves them. She also voices concern for Lucy-May on a regular basis and is frightened when she's gone missing.
  • Girlfriend in Canada: Clara is John's lover in Australia, and they write letters to keep in touch.
  • Happily Married: She pursues a romance with John, the sailor of the ship that took the Popples to Australia from England. He later moves to Australia just to be with her.
  • Head-Turning Beauty: She's very, very pretty, and captures the heart of John. She's also always dressed in fancy and stylish clothes.
  • Ill Girl: In the first episode, she's suffering from an unknown ailment which she recounts in her letter to her grandmother.
  • Innocent Blue Eyes: She is the only Popple child to have blue eyes, and her are a particularly deep colour.
  • Long Hair Is Feminine: She has long, wavy, dark hair that goes past her back.
  • The Lost Lenore: Clara is this to the sailor John. He later moves to Australia just so he can marry her.
  • Perpetual Frowner: Unlike her sisters, she's not very expressive and more serious. It could be because she's aware of her family's financial situation, and having to work at Jane's bakery to help keep them afloat.
  • Proper Lady: She's the only Popple daughter who doesn't have a habit of habitually being caked in mud. She also places a lot of importance on her appearance, wears fancy gowns and gets married to John in the end, making her the only Popple sister with a love interest.
  • True Blue Femininity: Her default outfit is a blue overcoat with a white apron and a beige shirt.

    Ben Popple

Voiced by: Tatsuya Matsuda (Japanese), Jackie Berger (French), Unknown (Italian), Sven Dahlem (German), Dawud Hussein (Arabic), Unknown (European Spanish), Mahosh Afshari (Iranian)

The oldest son of the Popples. He has many aspirations and wants to help his family.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ben_43.png
  • Big Brother Instinct: Inverted. Ben is younger than Clara (though it's two years, so not that far apart) but he's aware of his sister's illness and in the first episode, keeps asking if she's alright and offering to help her walk. When Mr. Pettywell makes fuss and holds them up, Ben audibly curses him out.
  • Dashingly Dapper Derby: Ben wears one. Justified as it was a common fashion statement in the 1800s.
  • Dub Name Change: He became Toby in the French dub.
  • Hot-Blooded: Ben tends to lose his temper hard. For example, when Mr. Jamling chose to work for Mr. Pettywell, Ben became enraged and called him a traitor. Arthur replied that it was solely his right to work with whoever he pleased and they had to respect it.
  • In the Blood: Like his father, he has a drive for hard work and is a honest man.
  • Pintsized Powerhouse: He's a pre-teen, but impresses his family with how he can carry heavy material from one place to another.
  • Super-Strength: At 12 years old, he's strong enough to carry around oxcarts and help Arthut out with construction work.
  • The Medic: At one point he aspires to be a doctor and studies under Dalton, but gives up and works at the customs office.

    Tob Popple

Voiced by: Mie Suzuki/Yumi Takada (Japanese), Unknown (French), Unknown (Italian), Reinhilt Schneider (German), Unknown (Arabic), Unknown (European Spanish), Unknown (Iranian)

The youngest child of the Popples, a baby.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tob.png
  • A Day in the Limelight: Episode 45 (titled "Tob's Disappearance"). After seeing a wallaby get shot, Tob chases it, resulting in Lucy-May and Kate having to find him. It's one of the few times Tob is actually acknowledged as an individual outside the story.
  • Aerith and Bob: There's Lucy-May, Kate, Clara, Ben and Tob.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: Literally, as he's two years old.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: Tob befriends the blacksmith next door and aspires to be one himself.

    Arthur Popple

Voiced by: Katsunonoke Hori (Japanese), Philippe Ogouz (French), Unknown (Italian), Ben Hecker (German), Mussafir Abd Al-krim (Arabic), Unknown (European Spanish), Akbar Manami (Iranian)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arthur_49.png
  • Adaptational Personality Change: Arthur wasn't an alcoholic in the book.
  • Aesop Enforcer: As the father of the Popple kids, Arthur believes he has a duty to raise them to be kind and just. This includes having them respect people that clearly don't respect them, like Mr. Pettywell, and not allow their emotions to overwhelm them.
  • The Alcoholic: His idealized life in Australia doesn't go as expected. The Popples become poor, their livestock die, and Ben and Clara have to get jobs to support the family. Arthur is so broken that he turns to alcohol to survive.
  • Good Is Not Nice: He's a caring dad, but he's not afraid to be firm. When Lucy May tells him she adopted a dingo, he says that if it ever harms her or anyone, he'll put it down.
  • Papa Bear: He's deathly afraid if harm befalling his children, especially Lucy-May and Kate as they're rambunctious and love adventuring.
  • Parents as People: Arthur Popple may be an alcholic who drinks to cope with how terrible his life is, but he'll be damned if he won't go through hell and high water for his daughter. His reaction to Lucy May going missing is downright heartbreaking.
  • Nice Guy: He's well-liked amongst the Adelaide neighborhood because he's always ready to help others and a hard-working, trustworthy guy.
    Annie Popple

Voiced by: Ikuko Tani (Japanese), Françoise Fleury (French), Gabriella Genta/Germana Domicini (Italian), Reinhilt Schneider (German), Nour Al-Houda Sabri (Arabic), Unknown (European Spanish), Badri Nurollahi (Iranian)

    Mr. Pettywell

Voiced by: Junpei Takiguchi (Japanese), Unknown (French), Unknown (Italian), Unknown (German), Unknown (Arabic), Unknown (European Spanish), Mehdi Azhir (Iranian)

A wealthy businessman who traveled to South Australia on the same immigrant ship as the Popple family. He becomes extremely rich through investing in farmland, and through a series of scuffles, becomes their Arch-Nemesis.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pettywell.png
  • Adaptational Jerkass: He was a one-note character in the book, but the anime makes him a major character who's an utter asshole to everyone around him.
  • Ascended Extra: In the book, he was a minor character mentioned on the same ship as the Popples. In the anime, he's a recurring character and a major antagonist.
  • Arch-Enemy: To the Popples. First, he buys farmland that they had already put a price down for. Then, his dog, Happy, attacks their livestock, and he hates Lucy-May because she called it out.
  • Asshole Victim: Hes frequently rude and abusive to his housekeeper and servants. Thus it's hard to feel bad for him when Adam, one of his former servants, teams up with a gang of robbers to steal his money.
  • Bad People Abuse Animals: He hits his dog, Happy, whenever he's in a sour mood.
  • Establishing Character Moment: In the first episode, he demands that he should go in front of the Popples when it's their turn to exit the ship and enter little boats that take them to the shores of Adelaide. When Arthut reminds him it's their turn, he uses his immense wealth to make sure he goes first. Ben curses at him under his breath, while Clara remarks that since he's rich, it can't be helped.
  • Fat Bastard: He's fat and has a revolting personality.
  • Kick the Dog: Quite literally as he frequently abuses his dog, Happy. Though his misdeeds towards the Popples also count.
  • Henpecked Husband: Mrs. Pettywell has a habit of chewing out her husband on the regular.
  • Meaningful Name: He's certainly a petty asshole.
  • Nice to the Waiter: Averted. He's absolutely horrible to his servants Adam and George.
  • Rich Bitch: Pettywell believes that him having extraordinary wealth means he gets a free pass to do whatever he likes. He's completely oblivious as to why his obnoxious personality results in people disliking him.
  • Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: Exactly one year after arriving in Australia, on the day when Arthur Popple was about to take possession of the farm and sign a sales contract, Mr. Pettywell gained ownership of the land by paying more than the contract fee.
  • Self-Made Man: Mr. Pettywell accumulated his wealth by trading and buying land, and lords his status over everyone else.
    Mr. Jamling

Voiced by: Tetsuo Mizutori (Japanese), Unknown (French), Unknown (Italian), Herbert Tennigkeit (German), Unknown (Arabic), Unknown (European Spanish), Unknown (Iranian)

A carpenter who travelled to Australia on the same immigrant ship as the Popples. After Arthur finds him injured in a forest and rescues him, he becomes steadfast friends with the Popple family.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jamling.png

  • Happily Married: To his wife, Nelly. They have a son who's around Kate's age.
  • No Name Given: We don't know his first name, only his surname.
    Hercules

Voiced by: Yoshio Nagahori (Japanese), Unknown (French), Unknown (Italian), Unknown (German), Unknown (Arabic), Unknown (European Spanish), Unknown (Iranian)

An Australian Aborigine man Lucy-May, Kate and Ben befriend. He lives with a lot of mischevious children.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hercules_78.png
  • Awesome Aussie: He's an indigenous Australian with a heart of gold.
  • Friend to All Children: He lives with a lot of children (it's unspecified if they're his kids or siblings) and also befriends the Popple children.
  • Gentle Giant: Despite his size, he's a kind man and saved Lucy-May when she fell into a river.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: With the Popple kids, and the other Aboriginal children he lives with.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: His real name is unknown (due to the language barrier), so Lucy-May nicknames him "Hercules".
  • The Quiet One: He doesn't speak the same language as Lucy-May and the Popples, but they communicate non-verbally, usually through facial expressions and laughing.
  • Scary Black Man: Inverted. He may be a dark skinned Aboriginal man but he's nothing short of sweet and caring, and the Popple children love him.
  • Super-Strength: He manages to carry logwood all the way to the Popple house.
  • Token Minority: Justified. This is 1800s Australia and he's an indigenous Australian, while the white characters are settler-immigrants from Europe.
    Larry Long

Voiced by: Ryūji Saikachi (Japanese), Unknown (French), Unknown (Italian), Unknown (German), Unknown (Arabic), Unknown (European Spanish), Unknown (Iranian)

A shepherd who helps the Popples.
  • Alliterative Name: The Cool Old Guy Shepherd is named Larry Long.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Lucy May and Kate at two different points are chased by dingoes, but thankfully Larry is there each time to save them.
  • Cool Old Guy: To Lucy-May, Kate and Ben. Ben even wants to be a shepherd just like Larry.
  • The Mentor: To Ben, but Ben eventually decides shepherding isn't the job for him.
    Mr. Mackenzie

Voiced by: Mikio Terashima (Japanese), Unknown (French), Unknown (Italian), Sven Dahlem (German), Unknown (Arabic), Unknown (European Spanish), Unknown (Iranian)

Lucy-May's homeroom teacher.
  • Barely-Changed Dub Name: In the German dub, he became Lehrer McKenzienote .
  • Dean Bitterman: He's a stern teacher that can be extremely harsh to his students. He's especially frustrated with Lucy-May's lack of academic progress.
  • Gender-Blender Name: During the era the anime takes place in (the 1800s), "Mackenzie" was more commonly used as a men's name. However, in the modern era, it's often used as a feminine name.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: He hates dogs. When he sees Little (a dingo), he mistakes it for a dog and freaks out.
  • Would Hurt a Child: He uses physical force as a means of punishment. Sadly, corporal punishment was the norm in schools in the era the anime takes place.

Princeton Family

    As a whole
  • Awesome Aussie: They're Australians who help the Popples out of poverty and rescue Lucy-May from severe danger.
  • Benevolent Boss: They treat their staff as friends rather than employees, despite all the hard work they do for them. When Lucy-May wakes up an amnesiac, they place her in a carriage and ride it all over Adelaide to jog her memories.
  • Canon Foreigner: The Princetons weren't in the original novel.
  • Death of a Child: Frank and Sylvia Princeton once had a daughter, Emily, but she died at the tender age of two. They both see Emily in Lucy-May, and wish to make her their replacement daughter.
  • Meaningful Name: They're wealthy enough to live in a large house with lots of servants, and have the name "Prince" in their surname.
  • Nice to the Waiter: Unlike Pettywell, the Princetons treat their butler, maid and family doctor with respect.
  • Parental Favouritism: Of sorts as after Lucy is reunited with the Popples Frank still visits to deliver clothes and gifts for her, while Kate and Tob get nothing, and feel awkward about it.
  • Parents as People: Initially they're depicted as wanting to steal Lucy May from her family, but they're actually grieving over their dead baby girl Emily, and in the end, understand that Lucy May loves her family and wants to return to them. They gift her some of their wealthy farm land (knowing the Popple's financial troubles) after being impressed by her love for them, and both the Popples and the Princetons become good friends afterwards.
  • Pink Girl, Blue Boy: Sylvia wears a hot-pink gown, while Frank wears a blue top hat and coat.
    Frank Princeton

Voiced by: Toshihiko Kojima (Japanese), Unknown (French), Unknown (Italian), Wolfgang Jürgen (German), Unknown (Arabic), Unknown (European Spanish), Manouchehr Walizadeh (Iranian)

A wealthy Australian man who rescues Lucy-May after she loses her memory. He has a large farm and is also a part owner of a mining company.
  • Friend to All Children: After finding an injured, amnesiac Lucy-May, Frank takes her to the Princeton estate and her treated by the family doctor. He allows Lucy-May to work at one of his farmlands, and both him and Sylvia grow attached to her.
  • Foil: Unlike Pettywell, who's a Rich Bitch, Frank is benevolent, values his employees and loves children.
  • Hidden Heart of Gold: Despite his wealth and polished exterior, Frank is understanding to Lucy-May's predicament, and is so touched by her love for her biological family that he allows her to return and even gifts them some farmland.
  • Innocently Insensitive: When Lucy-May regains her memories, Frank doesn't want to let her go, so he approaches the Popples with an offer - let him have custody of Lucy-May, and he'll give them one of his farmlands. The Popples are heartbroken to hear this because they've been worrying about Lucy-May ever since she went missing and the thought of life without her is unbearable.
    Sylvia Princeton

Voiced by: Akiko Tsuboi (Japanese), Unknown (French), Ludovica Modugno (Italian), Sabine Falkenberg (German), Unknown (Arabic), Unknown (European Spanish), Unknown (Iranian)

The wife of Frank.
  • Hysterical Woman: Emily's death broke Sylvia, and she's been hoping for another daughter ever since. When she learns that Lucy-May may want to return to the Popples, she bursts into tears and begs her to stay.
  • Ojou: You can tell she's a Princeton because she dresses very exquisitely and has the demeanor of one.
