A Girl Named Jo
Jo Chambers
Played by: Jules LeBlanc
- Amicable Exes: With Alan.
- Put on a Bus: Jo's fate remains ambiguous. Cathy narrates in the finale that Jo left Attaway after her "family and friends split in different directions" and sent postcards from her travels, but that Cathy never saw her again. It's implied in Holiday Spectacular that Nellie knows her aunt Jo, so she might not have strayed that far.
- Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Jo may not have an interest in fashion and the traditional lady-like subjects like Cooking and Textiles which she is forced to do, and while her true passion is metal work, she does not hesitate to make an effort at Phoenix Fest and removes her glasses for vanity reasons.
Cathy Fitzroy
Played by: Addison Riecke
- Alpha Bitch: Cathy used to be this. After she caught her boyfriend Lawrence making out with her best friend, and refused to forgive them, she began losing some of her popularity.
- Doomed by Canon: The series is told through Cathy’s diary, read by Monica (Cathy’s granddaughter) after Cathy has died.
- Class Princess: Seems to have been this before she befriended Jo.
- Girly Girl with a Tomboy Streak: Cathy enjoys wearing dresses and is very conventionally feminine, but she also seems to excel in sports, like cheerleading.
- Posthumous Character: The story is told through her journal that she gives to her granddaughter, Monica.
- Vanity Is Feminine: Cathy was vain and spoiled and conventionally feminine. She later proves herself to be kind and not just vain.
Allen Alvarez
Played by: Reid Miller
- Amicable Exes: With Jo.
- Doomed by Canon: Seeing as he’s nowhere to be seen or mentioned when Cathy dies, it’s safe to assume Allen died before Cathy.
- Minor Living Alone: After his father shoots himself. He doesn't want to move back in with his mother as it would mean leaving Attaway and his friends.
- Misunderstood Loner with a Heart of Gold: Allen was this. He had no friends until he met Jo and Cathy, but he later befriended Junior.
Junior Chambers
Played by: Tanner Fontana, Paul Thomas Arnold (adult)
- Lovable Jock: He is a skilled basketball player and frequently exercises, often lifting weights. But he is kind and protective of his younger sister Jo.

- Jerkass: Lawrence is immature, spoiled, and violent.

Charmers
Senna
- New Transfer Student: So she’s technically not a student, but she is joining a camp for the first time ever to spend the summer.
- Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: She is the beauty. While she isn’t dumb in the slightest, at first she has no knowledge of magic and even once she’s learned to use her powers, she’s still figuring stuff out. As well as that, she gets attention from the popular Jordan.
Zaria
- Ambiguously Bi: Zaria previously appeared unnamed in the show Mani. She dated a boy called Edward in that, but is single in Charmers. It’s implied she is attracted to Paris and seems genuinely upset when she has to erase Paris’s memory of them becoming best friends again.
- Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: She is the brawn. She has lots of knowledge on magic, but is not nearly as level-headed as her friends. She is also not afraid to get her hands dirty.
Clover
- Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: Clover is the brains.
Fi
- Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: The second load of brains. Not nearly as intelligent as Clover, but she is good with emotional intelligence. In fact, her magic powers involve reading people’s emotions.
Jordan
- Big Man on Campus: Or rather Big Man On Camp. Jordan is the most popular guy at camp. As well as beginning a relationship with Senna, his friend Paris, the Alpha Bitch of camp has a colossal crush on him. However, this seems to have gone down after a while.
Paris
- Ambiguously Bi: Paris is said to have a huge crush on Jordon in season 1. By season 2 however she is just friends with him if anything. In season 2 she and Zaria become best friends like they used to. However, their relationship is explored and they seem to be smitten with each other. Zaria later casts a spell to erase Paris’s memory of magic which also causes her to forget about her making up with Zaria, which seems to upset Zaria greatly, especially after Paris happily said she was happy to be friends again with her. It’s also slightly implied that Paris is attracted to her best friend Abby, seeming almost heartbroken when she starts hanging out with Winter rather than her.
- Alpha Bitch: Paris is the most popular girl at camp.
Abby
- Beta Bitch: The best friend of Paris. Funnily enough she is actually meaner than Paris is.
Tyler
- Beta Bitch: Though not particularly menacing, his humour can sometimes be extreme.
Chicken Girls
Crazy Fast
Crown Lake
Nellie Chambers
Played by: Francesca Capaldi
- New Transfer Student: She left her public school in Attaway to attend the prestigious Crown Lake, due to the Roach Gang paying her school fees.
Chloe Hauser
Played by: Emily Skinner
- Ambiguously Bi: Chloe in season 2 is rather obviously crushing on Lola and figuring out her sexuality, but it has yet to be explicitly said out loud.
- It’s no longer ambiguous as the third season premiere which takes place in 2022, reveals that Chloe has a wife.
- Lipstick Lesbian: She later realises that she is bisexual, and she is also unconventionally feminine.
Tiffany St.Martin
Played by: Kyla Drew
- Alpha Bitch: She was the most popular girl in school, until her lies about her brother to protect her family were exposed.
- Hidden Heart of Gold: She may be mean and shallow, but she is actually a decent person.
Heather Masterson
Voiced by: Lilia Buckingham
- Big Bad: Heather is the main antagonist, and her true identity is unknown.
Erin Roy
Played by: Mia Dinoto
- Beta Bitch: She’s just as popular as Tiffany, but prefers to act as a Second-In-Command. After she discovers that Tiffany’s brother Evan is ill and Tiffany lied about his whereabouts, she and Becca try and befriend Nellie, but after they discover she is at Crown Lake because the Roach Gang are paying her fees, they become friends with Lucy Quinn.
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Becca.
Ryan Baker
Played by: Ollie Walters
Becca Frank
Played by: Glory Curda
- Beta Bitch: She’s just as popular as Tiffany, but prefers to act as a Second-In-Command. After she discovers that Tiffany’s brother Evan is ill and Tiffany lied about his whereabouts, she and Erin try and befriend Nellie, but after they discover she is at Crown Lake because the Roach Gang are paying her fees, they become friends with Lucy Quinn.
- Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Erin.
Lucy Quinn
Played by: Alexis Jayde Burnett
- Big Bad Friend: Lucy Quinn, as a favor to "Heather" in exchange for her acceptance to Crown Lake after getting expelled from her previous school.
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: She was close with Lola, and worked with Nellie to find out who Heather was, but it looks like Lucy was working with Heather. She later betrayed Nellie.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: In season 3, it is revealed that Lucy supposedly died in a fire started by Nellie, who claimed it was Heather.
Josh Lewis
Played by: Lucas Stadvec
Lola Porecca
Played by: Izzi Rojas
- Closet Key: To Chloe gradually throughout season 2, although Chloe's sexuality remains subtextual until Stage Fright.
- Goth: She has a cropped short haircut, wears lots of gothic makeup and jewellery and at the start wore a hat.
- Tomboy with a Girly Streak: She is the star wrestler on the Crown Lake Wrestling Team, but she also always has makeup on. It’s Goth makeup but still.
Nick Lazaro
Played by: Andy Han
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold}: He is a drug dealer and was hostile to Josh, though that was because Josh fell out with him. However, he is nice to Nellie and desires to please his father.
- Lovable Jock: He was thought to be this by Nellie, due to him being on the Wrestling team and seeming to be interested in Nellie.
- Reformed Bully: While not necessarily a bully, he was a Jerk with a Heart of Gold in his teens. As an adult, he is a wealthy businessman who is a loving stepfather to Molly, friends with Tiffany and being completely clean from drugs.
Ms Rose
- Brainy Brunette: Ms Rose has brown hair and is cunning, manipulative and vengeful.
- Hot Teacher: Ms Rose is quite attractive.
- Rage Breaking Point: Adverted. Ms Rose is cruel to Nellie because Nellie's mother bullied her at their time in Crown Lake together.
- Revenge: Ms Rose was bullied by Nellie’s mother, Dana Roth. Ms Rose got Dana kicked out because of it.
- Sadist Teacher: She enacts cruel and unusual punishment on the students.
- We Used to Be Friends: Possibly. There was an old photograph of Ms Rose as a teen with Dana and two of their classmates. Ms Rose and Dana could have been best friends at one point judging by this photograph, but presumably fell out. This could mean that Ms Rose, Dana and the other two girls in the photograph were once the popular girls at Crown Lake, but when Ms Rose began to fall from power they bullied her.

- Workaholic: She mentions her Education Mama putting pressure on her to get into a good university, thus she spends a lot of time studying.

Played by: Lauren Orlando
