Benny

  • Befriending the Enemy: Benny's compassionate manner was able to convince the otherwise Axe-Crazy Nulla into a Heel–Face Turn
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: When Mark Scopes was captured in a place of horrific torture and suffering, Benny was willing to negotiate with a villain to secure his return. Unfortunately, he wound up trading an extremely powerful artifact for the life of one man, which could potentially go badly.
  • Kick the Dog: Benny dies after being rejected by the only person he had ever loved roantically and after being told by his sister that she had never heard of him.
  • Hatof Flight: Benny can give anybody he passivley possesses the ability to fly.
  • Flip Personality: Benny has an unamed alternate personality that appears rarely. It doesn't care about the party and is only concerned with itself.

Cordyceps sapiens

  • Blatant Lies: Cordyceps will often follow up attempted deceptions with the phrase "NOT A TRICK". Perfectly honest statements will often come out sounding like lies as well, like when, in the midst of a battle, they announced "WE ARE LEAVING RIGHT NOW BUT NOT IN A RUNNING AWAY WAY". They returned shortly with a weapon that wound up winning the battle, although partially because the guy playing the enemy sprained his ankle in real life and had to go.
  • Can't Hold His Liquor: Very quick to become staggering drunk at the consumption of small amounts of alcohol.
  • Face Death with Dignity: When the confrontation with Ehye began, they were at first confused and terrified, trembling and kneeling before the unknown entity. When Ehye made its intentions known, however, they decided that they were almost certainly doomed, but would remain and attempt to grow over Ehye to reinforce his binding with their spreading mycelium, expressing that it was irrelevant if this attempt succeeded or failed, so long as they had tried. This attempted self-sacrifice helped to awaken the Voice of Reason, who drew on The Power of Friendship and The Power of Love to apparently defeat Ehye completely, and leading to her re-naming herself THE MIND WEAVER.
  • The Fair Folk: The original identity of the Cordyceps host.
  • Festering Fungus: Cordyceps sapiens, a fictional Puppeteer Parasite based on the Cordyceps fungi of Earth, which are famous for "zombifying" various arthropods. The Cordyceps were heavily modified by the Mi-Go at an early point in their evolution, allowing them to do things like program their spores to overtake hosts at a variable rate, or just try to make all the spores look like tiny bees.
  • Forgets to Eat: The Cordyceps' own food is their host. Sometimes they forget that, to keep a host body in good running order, food is required. Sometimes they forget that food doesn't include a few hundred cotton candies, paper cones and all.
  • Growing Wings: Weaver altered their body to have leathery wings sprouting from their forearms.
  • I Am Legion: Refers to her/itself as We, what with being a colony of fungi and all.
  • I Let Gwen Stacy Die: The corruption of Weaver into Orochi is a tremendous source of sorrow and shame.
  • Martyr Without a Cause: They can be very quick to assume the best possible outcome for a situation requires them to sacrifice themselves, to the point of threatening suicide just to keep a minor villain from having the fun of tormenting them.
  • My Eyes Are Leaking: When contact with the Fanfic Demon causes Cordyceps to feel familial affection for the first time, and then the family member is immediately killed, they eventually have this reaction. They assume something is in their eyes, because that's the only reason they've ever cried before.
  • No Indoor Voice: Even speaks in caps when whispering.
  • No Need for Names: Neither Cordyceps or their Host have any sort of actual name, being known only as Cordyceps and Host
  • Offing the Offspring: They infect a human with their spores, thus creating a colony of what is essentially their children. This colony attempts to free the Voice from Fanfic Demon control, but is too weak, and becomes quickly overwhelmed, beginning to call itself Kawaiiceps and speak of spreading love and kawaiiness across the universe. The Cordyceps deem the merged entity/entities too harmless and call for their immediate destruction, rather than allowing such a taint to spread. Of course, the destruction isn't accomplished until the older Cordyceps colony are also brought into contact with the mind meld, which makes them develop the capacity for love as we know it. They regret their role in the destruction of this child colony, but they don't entirely comprehend the regret.
  • Our Mermaids Are Different: The Cordyceps' host has an entirely human body structure in terms of arms and legs, but her skin is blue and translucent, almost jellyfish-like. Her teeth are numerous, sharp and loosely rooted, her blood is clear, and she is apparently instinctively compelled to drown and eat sexual partners (although it's possible the Cordyceps just said that to stop people from trying to trick them into prostitution).
  • Race-Name Basis: Have no name beyond the taxonomic designation Cordyceps sapiens, and are often referred to simply as "the mushrooms" or similar fungus-related sobriquets. Some party members shorten "Cordyceps" to "Cordy".
  • Spock Speak: To emphasize their alien nature, they use stilted, awkward and overly-formal diction, AT AN UNDESIRABLE VOLUME.
  • What Is This Thing You Call "Love"?: Had never experienced affection, as we know it, until mind-melding with The Voice while Voice was under the influence of The Fanfic Demon. This was a factor in their early constant denial of a relationship.

Dr. Curious VII

  • Creepy Good: He's lost his sanity, contacted Nyarlahotep, and hangs around various monsters on a regular basis, but he's a still a pretty good guy.
  • Deadpan Snarker: While everyone is liable to get their snark on, Curious has several shining moments.
  • Groin Attack: Consistently a victim of these, some more brutal than others.
  • Go Mad from the Revelation: His encounter with Nyarlathotep allowed him to perceive all of reality. Before this happened, he was an ambassador. Now, he throws teeth at vending machines.
  • Good Thing You Can Heal: Since the Fanfic Demon declared that his genitals have a healing factor, they've been able to grow back multiple times.
  • Mad Doctor: May or may not be an actual doctor. Has referred to having a "hereditary doctorate" in engineering, or maybe philosophy.
  • Made of Iron: Curious can take a LOT of abuse.
  • The Mad Hatter: His self-admitted insanity serves him well a lot of the time, granting him the ability to read OOC comments that have an effect on the plot, and leading to him seeming much more comfortable with getting flayed alive than even the eldritch abominations around him think is normal.
    • Mind Weaver: FUNNILY ENOUGH, MOST REACT ODDLY TO THOSE WITHOUT SKIN.
  • Only Sane Man: Often played this role despite being literally insane. Now that he has been corrupted by a primordial chaos god, he is somewhat more balanced, and on a quixotic quest to defeat Nautilus for the forces of Order.
  • Overly Long Name: Dr. Ivan Oscar Victor Cornelius Randolph Curious VII
  • Wound That Will Not Heal: He was flayed in a Nullification Field, which prevents all future healing. Fortunately, he has at least two teammates offering to get him a whole new skin...eventually.

The Enigma

  • Big Bad: Designed as the ultimate villain of the entire board, being supposedly even more powerful in her final evolution than both the Zerens and Tabula Rasa.
  • Eldritch Abomination: Possibly the biggest seen yet, claiming to be older than even Weaver. To boot, when G1 tried to scan it, it resulted only in corruption of data.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Had a low voice, but upon regaining some of its memory, it changed to soft, female voice, hinting at its true identity.
  • Hero Killer: For a certain definition of "hero", its first true action is breaking free and killing Petrichor in the process.
  • Outside-Context Problem: Nobody knows its deal, and any attempt to forcefully ascertain its purpose results in damage and corruption. It is apparently much older than any other character.
  • The Assimilator: It can consume and integrate anything.
  • The Dreaded: Its arrival in the Alpaca-Zone instantly caused everyone to forget about the Zeren and target it.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: It is harmed by the sound of Bells, though it builds a resistance as it grows, making it especially deadly.

The Fanfic Demon

G-1

  • Bilingual Bonus: May speak in Octal.
  • Creepy Monotone: Word of God states that G-1's headcanon voice is the Computer from Logan's Run.
  • Forgot She Was A Robot: G-1 regularly drinks coffee and enjoys bad puns.
  • Glass Cannon: Very powerful, but merely touching any part of it's body other than it's core will cause it to implode, leaving the core behind to slowly reform a new body. It gets around this by using kinetic energy fields.
  • Hive Mind: It's body is composed of supercompacted sentient matter right down to the quarks and bosons. G-1 is made of a mind-boggling amount of individuals acting as one.
  • Spacetime Eater: The Proper Consensus, G-1's boss/creator
  • Starfish Robot: G-1. Played with as it is not actually a machine.

gobtraz

  • all lowercase letters: If you capitalize his name, everything explodes.
  • Animate Body Parts: Is a living brain.
  • Brain in a Jar: Sometimes uses a giant robot body.
  • Dropped A Bridge On Him(self): Dies early on in Red november in a single post.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: The slaughter in the beginning of Red November made him physically sick.
  • Jerkass: gobtraz' MO. Although...
  • Killed Off for Real: Early in Red November.
    • He Got Better though
  • Leeroy Jenkins: Cordyceps mentioned a strategy that might be good to try, and gobtraz responded by immediately plunging them into the middle of a zeren murderfest. They escaped, but not before Cordyceps lost their legs.

The Green Ghost

  • Affably Evil: Possibly. She has not harmed the heroes so far, but some of the things she says seem to indicate sinister intentions. It's also possible that she's doing this on purpose, to scare people for kicks.
  • Faux Flame: Surrounded by this, in green.
  • Fearless Undead: Seems to take just about everything that happens in stride, including very real threats to her continued existence. This lead to Weaver describing her as "UNREASONABLY UNFLAPPABLE".
  • Totally Radical: Uses an unnecessary amount of 1950's slang in her speech.
  • Silly Spook: Makes consistent wisecracks, and goes through unlife with a smile on her face and a song in her gaping chest cavity.
  • Wacky Americans Have Wacky Names: Has given her name as "T.A. Lincoln, RIP", "'X-Ray' Lincoln, RIP", " T. Alairtelria Lincoln, RIP" and "Ishmael". "Alairtelria" is not her real middle name, but a word meaning "one who is continually in the process of suddenly appearing".

Jack

  • Badass Adorable: A sweet, pumpkin-headed child who is loyal to his friends, forges mighty weapons, and can eviscerate you with his claws.
  • The Blacksmith: The Sugarsmith.
  • Cheerful Child: Despite being 22-23 in human years, jack is roughly 10-11 in Pumpkinzoner years. When not in serious mode, he's a fairly happy dude.
  • Does Not Know His Own Strength: Accidentally killed several people with his claws while playfully running around a theme park.
  • Living Mood Ring: Jack's ichor changes color with his emotions.
  • Nightmare Fuel Station Attendant: Jack is a sweet, caring child who inspires protective loyalty in his friends. He also happily sat through a snuff film without understanding what was bothering anyone else, and rather than viewing the Fanfic Demon with dread like the others, had a crush on her.
    • The Fanfic Demon and Jack did go on a date, but not until her monstrous mother had put in an appearance, threatening to feed Jack to the things "outside" if she was displeased. When he returned and someone attempted to warn him that that was perhaps a bad sign, his response was that "all mothers are scary". Then he recalled a time when he was younger and a girl around his age had come near his house to pick flowers, and called him cute, prompting his own mother to unleash a flood of ichor on her house.
      • Jack: ...I've made myself sad.
  • The Nicknamer: Has one for everyone. Special mention goes to Prettyskitter, his nickname for the Fanfic Demon of all things.
  • Puppy Love: His crush on the Fanfic Demon. She will probably use this against him, although her referring to him as "Kawaii Kabocha-Kun" may indicate some actual fondness.
    • Now has a crush on his bizarro self: Jaq
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: All sugar until the situation calls for seriousness, at which point he becomes The Blacksmith

Mark Scopes (deceased)

  • Full-Name Basis: Some characters consistently refer to him only as Mark Scopes.

Mauve Silverworth

  • Big Bad: Of Grey December.
  • Break Them by Talking: Does so with Weaver, until Weaver decided to try and invade mauve's mind, which truly broke her.
  • Faux Affably Evil: Is originally courteous to the group, and even jovial. She drops this when she has another route to victory.
  • Godhood Seeker: Seeks to become a new primordial God.
  • Love Makes You Evil: Her love for Violet is responsible for a good deal of suffering.
  • Smug Snake: Her smugness has never faltered.
  • Villainous Incest: Loves her sister Violet. So much she's the actual main threat of Grey December.

Petrichor

  • Corrupt Capitalist: Prepared to sell out anyone at any time. This is the way of clowns.
  • Enemy Within: His worst enemies, the Omniversal Conquerors Tabula Rasa, planted agents directly in his mind, to observe events and take control. The monster known so far only as Enigma appears to have been called forth through his mind, although it actually entered the room through a television.
  • Monster Clown: From an entire zone of monster clowns.
  • Only in It for the Money: His entire philosophy

Shrigul

THE VOICE OF REASON AND CLEAN/THE MIND WEAVER/Orochi

  • The Baroness: Has a thing for complete Domination. She gets better, though. And then she gets worse, thanks to Izanami.
  • Believing Their Own Lies: When Ehye was still present in her mind, she presented a lot of clearly false claims about herself, and was fully convinced of all of them.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: She's a giant spider.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: It turns out a lot of her negative character traits were due to some bound entity in the depths of her mind identifying as an avatar of reason.
  • I Am Legion: Much like Cordyceps, Voice refers to herself as We or Us
  • More than Mind Control: Her possession by The Fanfic Demon caused a lot of pent-up feelings to well up. Terrifyingly.
  • Smug Super: She's been present since the birth of the universe and can enter your mind and tear it to shreds, causing untold agony. She'll let you know it, too.
  • Physical God: She is one portion of an ancient god of the Mind, and her powers include the creation of life.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: Regrets the death of gobtraz because she wishes she could have lobotomized him for getting Cordyceps hurt.
    • Attempted to flay the mind of the Ghost who manifested when Cordyceps was damaged. The Ghost, while certainly not seeming trustworthy, had not actually done any harm at this point, but Cordyceps had expressed irritation at her presence.
  • Voice of the Legion: Speaks with a background of chitinous whispers.

xward

  • Blessed with Suck: xward is a sentient bottle of infinite urine. He has used this infinite urine to great effect in combat. That doesn't reduce the squick factor much.
  • Sealed Inside a Person-Shaped Can: The mysterious "Consequence" seems to be a great cosmic force sealed inside a person who is literally a bottle of urine.

Yellowman

  • hes here
    • hes here
