I noticed a reversion to some edits I made regarding fan reactions to Geordo (See “Americans Hate Tingle,” “Die For Our Ship” on the YMMV page). These passages, as they were and still are, seem to fall under Fan Myopia and Righting Great Wrongs.

I originally edited these passages to make them less argumentative, but as it stands, I don’t know if they should be up either way. My edit to the AHT passage made it less contradictory and more contextual, but I don’t know if that makes it appropriate. On reflection, the DFOS entry just doesn’t fit the trope, as it describes Geordo’s shippers disliking everyone else, rather than describing an actual target for their ire.

The passages in question are the part of "Americans Hate Tingle" beginning with "However, Season 2 saw..." and the entry in "Die For Our Ship" beginning with "Some of Geordo's hatedom..."

This was removed without explanation.

• This sentiment only grew even further once it was revealed that Catarina has fallen in love with and reciprocates Geordo's feelings in later chapters of the light novels. While Geordo of course has his fans, the number of Fan Preferred Couples in the series means that the instant Catarina began to return his feelings, Geordo became Public Enemy #1.

I don't want to add it back without discussion, and I'd like to hear the reason it was removed.
