Just had to pull Les Yay again. Guys, Les Yay (and Ho Yay) are specifically about scenes with unintended homoerotic undertones.

Yara is openly into women. Dany had a scene where she was "learning the arts of lovemaking" from another woman. And the writers know Girl on Girl Is Hot.

There is nothing unintentional here.

  • Strawman Has a Point: Tyrion compares Dany's plan to level the Masters and their cities to her father trying to blow up King's Landing. While Dany says that this is different, Tyrion convinces her otherwise and the show seems to think that we are meant to agree with him. However, the comparison only works if Dany planned to burn Meereen and her own freed slaves to spite her enemies from victory by Taking You with Me. Targetting the Masters, their cities and their soldiers are legitimate military targets and Dany only plans to Make an Example of Them, and crush all future rebellions against her new order, similar to how Sansa erases House Bolton and their titles and lands, and how her own ancestor Aegon I dealt with friends and foes.

One of my entries has created some issues, and it's leading to Conversation On The Main Page, so I pute behind double percentages until getting some consensus. I have also added a second entry related to Ass Pull that covers some of the same ground. So I am okay with either of the two staying. In either case, Tyrion equivocating Dany to the Mad King, by specifically citing the Wildfire Plot is not justified on the plot level in my view. Since Dany isn't burning Meereen to spite her enemies. Everyone is mentioning killing civilians, but Dany doesn't mention civilians she explicitly says she wants to target soldiers (aka military threats). And when Dany says "this isn't like that" and Tyrion insists that it is, it struck me that the Straw argument and defense, spoken by Dany, is more correct than Tyrion's. That is all.
