Should we add Magi Babble concerning the Progeny's seemingly random talk.

Should we consider the photos and other ephemera in the agents' lockers an Easter Egg? They're more than a bit hard to notice.

No matter what I say there is a 40% percent chance I'm not being serious, and if I sound like I'm not then I probably am.

I saw that this was added to Retcon:

  • Various background art (along with female voices) imply that there are regular Muton females. In XCOM 2 it is said that Berserkers are the females of the Muton species and the regular Mutons are all male. It is possible that there's some in universe explanation as Mutons are, after all aliens.

I wanted to note that Axiom and Claymore have this base conversation that seems relevant:

Axiom: Claymore. You fight like a woman.
Claymore: I am not sure what you mean.
Axiom: You're fearless, you keep calm under pressure, and you inspire your squadmates to give their all.
Claymore: Ah. I learned a thing or two from my big sister.
Axiom: She sounds formidable. Think she'll join Reclamation? Fight beside us?
Claymore: Doubtful. She... Has not come to terms with the state of the world.
Axiom: Well. If she does, I'd like to shake hands with the woman who inspired you to fight so well.

This implies that, as big and strong as Axiom is, he considers Muton females to be in another league entirely. It seems related but I don't know enough about the previous XCOM lore to know what's a retcon and what's just new information.

From "Cool, but Inefficient"

  • Some of the squadmate-specific achievements require you to use their unique abilities in ways that are stylish but of very limited help in battle. Torque for instance must tongue-pull an enemy into poison, which essentially means you must aim her AoE poison spit at herself before pulling an enemy into the resulting puddle. Claymore must blow up his customary shrapnel bomb with another explosive, which is a waste of grenades more often than not. Patchwork must relocate the same unit twice in the same turn, which is highly unlikely to make practical sense in almost any situation.

A) Torque can get hit by other enemies' poison attack (Cobras have the same skill as her, and will absolutely use it on clustered troops, even if one of them is Torque or even people with medkits who are therefore immune to poisons), so she just has to pull someone into the resulting cloud. This is not a rare situation nor does it require you to waste her poison spit.

B) Explosives shred armor, so stacking grenades and shrapnel bomb isn't that weird when dealing with high armor enemies like Praetorians or The story specific Gatekeeper and Sectopod. And that's without even going into how throwing as many explosives on top of clustered enemies to take them all at once isn't a bad idea either. Lastly, throwing a grenade doesn't use an action, so it allows Claymore to trigger his own bomb and still retain an action he can use to move/shoot/whatever.

C) The last one doesn't even make sense coz Patchwork doesn't even have a "relocate" skill. Or any skill that lets her relocate a unit. She's the team hacker. In fact Patchwork's ability achievement is "Hack an enemy Android with Patchwork and trigger Self-Destruct".
