Is there an inverse of this trope? Like when an instance of a franchise makes fans lose interest in the franchise?

" The resulting film was the highest-grossing Trek film of all time and a hit with both hardcore fans (apart from a few holdouts) and general audiences."

Can we please have examples that don't insult people for disliking something? I'm not saying there is no Hate Dumb suroounding 2009 Star Trek, but let's not act like there are no legitimite reasons to dislike the movie or that it received universal praise.

Fully agreed. This kind of Fan Myopia turns the wiki into a laughing stock.

Good question. Win Back the Crowd also works fine (there isn't a custom title adding caps) so you can use that if you prefer.

Have there been any other pirate movies since Pirates of the Caribbean? As far as I can see, it's just an exception to the still-existing ban on pirate films.

"People who won back their career" is already covered in Career Resurrection. The examples aren't really necessary, so maybe we can link that section back to Career Resurrection.

In Western Animation, under Spongebob, it mentions "a game as good as Battle for Bikini Bottom" or something like that, but doesn't say what it is.
