The entry on Lisa Simpson says "Despite showing religious beliefs in the past to the point of being Holier Than Thou yet in “Lisa the Skeptic” is extremely emphatic that religion and science cannot coexist."

It's been a while, so ICBW, but my recollection of that episode is that she simply thought there must be a more rational explanation for a winged skeleton than that it was a dead angel. And she was right, obviously. I don't recall her rejecting actual religion in any way, just this specific piece of idiocy. She was treated like she'd rejected religion, because Springfielders.

Nobody's corrected me on this point, so I'm removing it.

Does the xkcd example really count? I always thought that comic was referring to the way other people's opinions influence our own - the person changing his position isn't just being a Yes-Man, his opinion is actually changing.

These examples are some other trope (moving to Suspiciously Specific Denial for lack of a better place):

  • Waynes World manages to combine Cross Dresser, Furry Fandom, Ho Yay, and Perverse Sexual Lust into one sentence:
Garth: Did you ever find Bugs Bunny attractive when he put on a dress and played a girl bunny?
    Wayne: No. [laughs hysterically] No.
Garth: Me neither. I was just asking...
  • In Mac Hall, Ian's line:
Ian: Have you ever started to make pancakes, then decided you didn't really want pancakes, and then just started drinking the batter to finish it off?
    JM: No.
Ian: Yeah, me neither. Boy, that sure would be weird.
  • Penny Arcade manages to have one between Gabe and Tycho without Tycho even saying anything:
Gabe: Have you ever pooped and then smelled the smell of your own poop and thought it kinda smelled good? Like sort of wild and exotic."
    Gabe: Me either!

Needs a better title. Not clever, and it's far too specific.

On the contrary, a good title — everyone knows Hamlet.
