Does this overlap with the thing in Russia about odd and even numbers? A bouquet of flowers must always have an odd number of blooms in it as an even number is unlucky (except for fumeral wreaths where even numbers are acceptable). I've never seen matryosshka dolls come in an even number - usually five, sometimes seven or nine. the page image appears to have eleven.
Male, early sixties, Cranky old fart, at least two decades behind. So you have been warned. Functionally illiterate in several languages.I just noticed a small overlap with Recursive Reality. I'm going to work on cleaning up the two pages by putting Matryoshka Object a Super-Trope
I should be able to fully launch this by next Tuesday (January 3).
Edited by SingingRain Hide / Show RepliesUm, isn't this already launched?
"Learning without thinking is labor lost. Thinking without learning is dangerous."Somebody told me I had to put a link to this entry to all of the examples' entries in order to "fully" launch the trope, so I'm working on that right now.
That's true, but it's already been done for you, as well as cleaning up the page. You're welcome. :P
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.
I'm thinking Asteroids Monster is related to this, but I can't exactly pinpoint the kind of relationship.
