The page quote, judging from the episode recap, is a Trauma Conga and not a Humiliation one.
I disagree with using Butters as an example. He wasn't a villain as they were playing a game, and the game was only used as a way for a plot about the snowballing abuse of Butters.
Ancap who's bitter over some hacked reddit accounts.I don't quite agree with the current image for this page. It doesn't explain or illustrate the trope at all. I would start an image picking discussion for it but I don't have anything to propose.
The Artifact. Is currently Lazy Hazy. Hide / Show RepliesI agree that the picture is wrong. Butters is not a villain, so Humiliation Conga doesn't apply to him - that trope is Trauma Conga Line.
at first, i thought this trope was just about humiliation and not villain defeats
I know it says in the main page that you would do well not to draw out the sequence too long, lest the villain become too sympathetic and the audience starts feeling sorry for him, but what if inciting audience sympathy was the Intended Audience Reaction? What if you wanted the viewers to end up seeing the villain as The Woobie (albeit a Jerkass Woobie) to set up for a Heel–Face Turn?
How about this one of Max Schreck?

We could have a snarky caption like "Having a tough week, Max?"
One goes to Image Pickin' to propose an image. But I'm afraid that's Just A Face And A Caption. See here.
Needs specific details. Please see How To Write An Example.
- Ferris Buellers Day Off: This is pretty much exactly what happens to Principal Rooney.
Per TRS, the definition was expanded to cover Jerkasses in addition to villains:
