Since a lot of the generic classes have unique personalities and gameplay abilities, would anyone be up for a "Generic Classes" character page?

Just curious, is there any reason why Disgaea 5 doesn't have subtitle in their page title like the rest of the pages (Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice, etc)?

The page was created around the time of Disgaea 5's original announcement in Japan and in Japan, all the games don't have a subtitle. They were all titled "Makai Senki Disgaea" with the number at the end for the later entries. At the time, no one knew what the game's subtitle would be and so they just gave it the title Disgaea 5. Most of the previous games went through this period before moving all the tropes to a new page with the full English title. Someone hasn't gotten around to doing the same for Disgaea 5 for whatever reason (Most likely because we're all lazy). Disgaea Dimension 2 also doesn't have it's full English subtitle./

Now that Overlord Prier has been expanded in the La Pucelle page, do you think it's time we take her out of the main Disgaea page and move over some of the tropes to the La Pucelle page or should it stay as is?

Looks like the same character's listed twice, and the Disgaea version only has like seven tropes.

I'd go ahead and delete it.

The Crowning Moment sub-pages across the series are kind of disorganized, so I think we need to merge 'em

Should we move all the moments to the main Disgaea page (like here) and set up redirects for the individual games? This should hopefully increase the amount of examples, and we'll also have a few large pages instead of several two-example stubs.

I agree with merging them. It'll look a lot neater that way.

OK, I've cutlisted the remains. That should divert all future examples to the merged sub-pages.

Anyone know what happened to the Crowning Moment icons? The pages are still there but the icons themselves are not showing up on the Disgaea page yet the icons show up just fine for the individual game pages.

At the left, under tools, some chump set the page type to "trope" as opposed to "work".

I fixed it.

Hey guys, I wanted to write an Asagi story, and I also wanted to involve the evil Asagi from the second Prinny game. But I don't know anything about her, can't find a script of the game, or any playthroughs on Youtube. :(

Can someone give me some details and maybe some of her lines so I can get a feel for the character?

Seriously? That's odd. Have you tried digaea.wikia? If searching for Asagi and Disgaea on Youtube turns up nothing, you could try "Let's Play [relevant game title]". Though to be honest, I'm not sure there really is a lot to be known about Kurosugi.

Should we make a Disgaea light novel page? I talked to people who have read them and I have read transalted parts of it myself, and so far have I gathered 20 fitting tropes.

Let's put 'em all on one page dedicated to the light novels, maybe something like Disgaea Novels.

I unfortunately don't know enough about them to write up a page description to summarize the novels.

Disgaea: Three dash!: Short stories with D1, D3 & Makai characters.

Disgaea: War of Prinny: A loose adaption of Prinny: CIBTH.

I also asked someone to translate the novel characters information on the japanese wikipedia page:

Yasurl: Vesuvius’s wife, Laharl's aunt. She is even bustier than Jennifer. Back in the day, after Laharl’s mother died, she used to take care of him, and she abused him with her whip. Since then Laharl has hated sexy bodies. She is not fond of Laharl being the overlord cause he has human blood running through him. She's so-so strong.

Vesuvius: Little Brother of Krichevskoy, and Laharl's uncle. He is super muscular. He wears a radiantly colored pink mantle that if you see it once, you'll never forget it. He talks like a woman. He can't stand up to Yasurl. Was once in love with Sakura, but he was turned down.

Shas: Vesuvius's daughter; twin sister of Kira. She is still very young. Use to share body with Kira, but he tried to take over and she rejected him. She now “plays” with Laharl a lot, setting up traps to destroy him. She's a tad-bit crazy and is one of Laharl's problem.

Kira: Vesuvius’s son; twin brother of Shas. He's actually a ghost and was at one point taking control of Shas's body. Had a sick mind and tried to trick Flonne and Etna; and took hostage of Shas to defeat Laharl. But in the end he was purified by Flonne and was sentence to be a prinny for 100,000 years for assassination attempt to the Overlord. He is currently spending time in Celestia to repent.

Jane: Daughter of Gordon and Jennifer. She can depict the difference between Shas and Kira (who is a ghost). She has been fond of Laharl since he saved her from Kira.

Ozonne: Flonne's little sister. Rare kind of angel: she likes money more than love and she's the opposite of Flonne. She ran away from home. She is fond of Laharl since he's the overlord, and she is always fighting with Flonne. She came to the Netherworld as an exchange student, but went back to Celestia to become a woman worthy of Laharl.

Terre and Elle: Flonne and Ozonne's Parents. Father Terre is always refreshed, and Mother Elle is always smiling. Even bigger "Warriors of Love" than Flonne. "LOVE" is their family motto. They made an oath with Laharl to make sure he stays friendly with Flonne forever.

Vijan: An unknown outer-space mechanic monster. Their numbers are couple billion. They are really hard and only magic-infused swords can penetrate them. They can combine to become a Vijan-Robo, it's just a normal Vijan that has been stretched couple 100km. With their great numbers, even Laharl and Lamington's combined powers couldn't defeat them. At first they thought Carter was their Ultimate Creator, but now they believe Flonne's (encode error) is their Creator.

Sakura: A women looking for rare and legendary swords. She's a women, but she likes flat-chested girls. She wears traditional Japanese Kimono. She carries a Masamune she created out of Caliburn, and she's a Master Swords-woman. She can't use magic but she can use couple-hundreds of swords at the same time. She is on a journey to find both Caliburn and Excalibur, because she burns with passion as a 'Sword Mania'. Her power is equal to that of Laharl, and her life is divided between several other angels. She has once beaten Laharl. She was once an arc angel working under Lamington, but since angels changes between male and female depending on the situation, after becoming a Sword Master her male-side dominated her heart. But after she lost to Laharl, her female-side took over, she fell in love with Laharl and now she stays at the Overlord's castle.

Gwen: Wife of the King who ruled the human world a thousand and few years ago. She is the women that Laharl met when he travelled back in time. He was for some reason very fond of her, because she was in fact his mother. Sakura came to steal the King's Excalibur, and she and Gwen went to the future world of the Netherworld. She became Sakura's servant, but she escaped and met Krichevskoy, married, and had Laharl.

Nice job on the characters page! We just need a few sentences in the opening of its main article to describe the novels as a whole, then we'll be set.

Shall we call the page Disgaea Novels, or something else?

I like that page name, and how about this as a describtion:

The Disgaea novel series is an expanded universe of the Disgaea game series. It starts with an adaptation of the first game and continues with its own thing, and adaptations of the sequels were added to the universe as the games got released. The novels introduce Laharl’s aunt, uncle and cousins, Flonne’s mother, father and sister as well as Gordon and Jennifer’s daughter. They are quite the fun read, but they have unfortunately not yet been released state side. Broccoli Books, who was going to release the novels, shut down before they even got to release the first one. The novels are written by Sow Kamashiro and illustrated and Chou Niku.

There are light novels adaptations of Phantom Brave and Makai Kingdom as well; they are set in the same universe as the Disgaea light novels. Disgaea characters appears in the Phantom Brave light novels, and there is a crossover novel between Disgaea and Makai Kingdom.

That's a tough one...

I want to say literature since they're novels, but aren't they Manga? If they are, then they go under the Anime and Manga folders.

I'd place it under literature then, like we do with the Star Wars Expanded Universe books.
