openSpace sim with bad translation Videogame
I remember some time in the '00 I read this review on Gamespot. It was some kind of space sim that had a "Blind Idiot" Translation that resulted in stuff being given really weird descriptions such as a ship described as having "mirrored antiquantums" or something weird like that
openThis one show where a kid lives with monsters Western Animation
I remember almost nothing about it, the only things I remember is that the animation wasn't drawn, it was with 3d models and CGI (I think). I think I used to watch it in the early 2000s (could be reruns since I'm in latin america, not sure), but my memories of it are so incredibly vague I'm almost certain I completely hallucinated it, but I'm not giving up yet. I mean, I'm sure there are plenty of shows with this premise, maybe one of them is the right one?
openWeird game about escaping a planet Videogame
Okay, this might sound really stupid, but I remember a weird game on the internet where a human crash lands on a planet and has to get home (I think). The planet is inhabited by talking monkeys in a school, and you often had multiple dialogue options or actions to pick from in certain scenes, all with different results.
I don't know why I remember this since I played it around like, 2007-2009, but it made me curious of what the name of the game is. Anyone who knows what I'm talking about?
openSeeking animation guru to identify old cartoon concept art I inherited Western Animation
I recently inherited a box of original animation cels and production art from an old neighbor whose father was an animator for many classic films and ads from WWII to about the mid nineties when he died. I'm an art teacher so my neighbor thought I'd like to have it. She died last month.
Most of it is labeled and very awesome, including model sheet paper from Felix the Cat and cels and model sheets from "David the Gnome" of the trolls, which is so cool.
But there is one folder with stuff I can't place. It's very old and appears mostly to be reproductions and maybe a few old pencil or charcoal sketches. It's labeled "Disney" in faded ink. I didn't think my neighbor's dad worked for Disney as I thought she would have mentioned it, but maybe he did at some point or maybe this is from someone else. I'm very, very curious to know what this is from.
I'm posting a link to some scans: http://imgur.com/gallery/03E3m7I
The first pages is from a model sheet of "mama gull" and her nest. But what really interested me is the next page, which is a mustached man who looks very much like a Disney Captain Hook. It looks like the sea gull made her nest and laid an egg on Hook's head while he was asleep in bed.
Does anyone know if this is true Disney production art? It's mostly reproductions, but would still be so cool if this was from Disney studios at one point. The man looks so much like the Disney Cap. Hook and someone online pointed out that the style matches an early Cap. Hook model sheet from the early 40s, which is when Roger would have been working as an animator. I haven't seen Peter Pan in years but don't remember this scene, so maybe it's from something else or maybe an old Peter Pan commercial or sequel cartoon. However I tried to google Peter Pan and found the book and play have a character called the Never Bird who has a nest, so I'm wondering if this is art from a deleted scene with the Never Bird.
Does anyone have any clues or know of an animation site or collectors site that could identify this art for me? Thanks!
openSome kind of android police officer movie?
This is a movie or TV show I saw an ad for when I was a kid. As I remember, I had a VHS copy of The Brave Little Toaster, and the show in question was advertised on it, either as part of those trailers they used to put before the actual movie, or because my parents had recorded a broadcast of The Brave Little Toaster and an ad for it got recorded too. I don't know if any of that will help, but should narrow down the time period.
Anyway, in the advertised feature, apparently there was this guy who looked human, but was a robot. I remember scenes where he was unfazed by things that should hurt, like getting slapped by a woman. The woman reacted as if he was made of metal. The scene I remember most clearly is an electrical power cord being retracted into his pants leg, like it does on a vacuum cleaner. For some reason I thought the movie was called "Chips", but I now know C Hi Ps is a show about California bike cops who are decidedly human. Unless it dipped into sci-fi stuff at some point? I've never seen an episode. Anyway, this has been bugging me for years, hope someone can help.
opentv show (or maybe movie, idk anymore) no one can find and I'm starting to think it doesn't exist Live Action TV
hi, so there's this tv show i used to watch as a kid, it's probably from the late 99s early 2000s and it was about 2/3 kids, I know there were at least 2, i think they were all siblings and they somehow entered a new dimension whenever they wanted to through a device or something, I don't remember, and that other dimension was a jungle or something like that and they had a tree house there and I think there were bad people in this other dimension and they used to hide from them in the tree house I think. this is vague but i can't remember anything else, i know the girl was blonde and she was older than the boy.
Edited by blurryfaceopenanime/cartoon show
I can't remember the name of this one show from the 2000's. It was about these monsters or beasts that were inside these small tubes and the people that had them used them to fight. I only remember two of the creatures. One was a blue and white bear and the other was a black and yellow bird. I think it was aired on Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network.
Edited by ThePandaPirateopenModular toy line
Hello, I am looking for a toyline from when I was a kid, but can't remember the name of. It was a series of toys that used a modular structure with several different parts that could be detached or reattached with others. It mostly used squares and small pegs for the connections. For example, one was an airboat / hovercraft normally, but you could also detach the cockpit and then attach legs and arms to said cockpit to turn into a walker. There were also some pieces that where used to attach one thing to another, a sort of universal piece if you will. They where either a black block to attache square protrusions to each other, or a grey block made to attach square recessions to each other. The pilots of the crafts were done in a simple manner, single color, and designed to look somewhat futuristic with their arms at an L-shape and had not much movement except for the legs that could be bent 90 degrees to allow it to sit. The only other thing I remember is that they also has stylized letters "SC" hidden at various places which I guess is the copyright.
openNo Title Literature
Two stories I remember reading but can't find:
1.!FOUND!I asked this before. A story I read with my grandma so it's 1999 or older. There's a boy and a girl sitting by a river and the girl starts singing the word Arroyo. The boy gets annoyed with her singing and calls her a wetback, triggering her Berserk Button. A lizard was also involved, can't remember if it was the boys pet or a wild lizard. May have been part of a story compilation.!FOUND! It's "Just Call Me Stupid" by Tom Birdseye!
2.!FOUND!A scifi furry/anthro story I read in 2002 so its 2002 or older. No yiff, as I was a religious Safesearch user back then. There was a ferret who at one point was described as "boring" and he was crying his eyes out over his friends dying in a building of some sort and saying "My liege, I could have been them!" At one point he and this anthro dog got in a car and the dog consoled the ferret. Sometime later in the story, I remember a fight scene in an office with an Action Girl. Flamethrowers and Ridiculously Cute Critter may have been involved. At one point, I think the ferret guy complimented how cute the critters were. I remember the URL said something like "Neoterrestrials" or "Neoteddestrials" somewhere but that's all I have to work with. Anyone?!FOUND! It IS Neoterrestrials by mogwai toejam AKA Akktri.
Edited by CanzetTheCoyoteopenA Chinese historical romance??? Wuxia?
There's one tv series that I used to watch when I was a kid. All I could remember about it is that it's something about a romance between a white snake lady and a guy, the guy was punished(?) and he was reborn or sent(?) to earth with no memories of his previous life. I think he was a being in the heavens along with the snake lady. I couldn't remember their names, sadly, but there's one name I could tho, and that is Xiao Er. I'm not sure if that's the snake lady's name or I just mixed it up with some other character from other show's name but if anyone have the slightest idea about this, do tell.
openArcade game Videogame
I remember playing this at an arcade during my childhood. It is a soccer-themed game with a string-bound ball as one of the controls. Whenever the game ends, it shows an anthropomorphic soccer ball on the bottom-right corner of the screen yawning and pulling down some blinds in disgust before showing the game over text.
Edited by MitchellProductionsopenPHINEAS AND FERB EPISODE Western Animation
This might be a quick one. I am looking for a Phineas and Ferb episode, which Candace (I think has a dream) of having a date and the boy (I think Jeremy) turned her down and everyone laughs (metaphorically everyone in the world). I think it was either a nightmare or a daydream. Can anyone please help? Thanks. During this scene, we see the earth in the solar system and hear loud laughter.

openWhat was the name of the Cartoon with a Talking robot staff with one glowing eye?
Back in the 90s maybe 2000's there was a Cartoon, early CGI set on a world after a great war had destroyed it I believe the main story followed a young man and his fellow travelers the chief among them was a staff with a single glowing eye that was sentient, could control most old technology and constantly complained about being used as spear by the young man.
other details I remember are: A Character being a member of a underground subrace, that was infected with a Bioweapon, preventing them from living in the sun, the character was an older man and was some how cured by limited sun exposure.
a Large Gorilla like Mecha, with four optics, three fingered hands and laser turrets on it's shoulders.
That's all I really remember, it's been years, hopefully it rings some bells! :) Update: Back in the 90s maybe 2000's there was a Cartoon, early CGI set on a world after a great war had destroyed it I believe the main story followed a young man and his fellow travelers the chief among them was a staff with a single glowing eye that was sentient, could control most old technology and constantly complained about being used as spear by the young man.

Edited by SgtNixopenChinese(?) films Film
Two East Asian films, possibly Chinese.
- A romance movie. The poster featured two male/female couples hugging, the women looking at each other from over the men's shoulders.
- The poster featured two women. One is touching the lips of the other, who's wearing red lipstick.
openAgents of SHIELD Print Comic
As far as I know, the TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was adapted to comic books in S.H.I.E.L.D. (2014) and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Then, surfing the internet to read things about the TV series, I found this page. Is that comic book image from either of the comics, from some other one, or just promotional material?
I'm trying to find a site I swore I got to from TV tropes a few years ago. It was basically just a log of a few rpg sessions where the guy was playing an IT consultant who had to deal with customers like enemy encounters.
