Un-person is in the same vein.
In time travel narratives, sometimes a character will change something in the past that causes them to cease to exist in the present- either because their past self dies, they alter events such that they're never born, or it's just that this version of them can no longer exist in the timeline they've created. (I've especially seen this with the character slowly fading away, maybe with enough time to try to fix the past again). Is there a trope for this? And if so, what's the name for it?
