Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

"Many find that" seems a little weird to me. Do people actually agree with this, or is it a generalization based on personal opinion? The edit reason is also rude.
I'm not sure what should be done about the edit war myself, you'd have to ask someone else.
"Many find that" can be changed. I think the music is fine but I've seen some complaints about it.

Muramasa got.Yeah, not a big fan of the edit Dem Boyz did. Their wording is clunky, and they also don't get to make a unilateral decision despite what they apparently think.
The powers that be might want to at least take a look here.
Edited by BoltDMCI don't mind editing the entry to make it more concise, as I find the original entry's wording rather clunky; but Dem Boyz's edit seems to have the purpose of sneaking in a Justifying Edit rather than actually improving the entry.
Dem Boyz' edit has three spelling errors in a short paragraph (in addition to keeping one from the original); repeats "received" three times; requires the reader to be familiar with Bloodborne; and doesn't say anything about the musical styles of the two versions to help the reader understand why there would be a controversy.
My main issue is that they are using Justifying Edit to defend an area that is considered the only real flaw of the remake. It comes across as policing the page.
Looking into this tropers history, them seem to have a habit of being very hostile when talking to people, even if their edits are justified. Looking at this entry from August 08 of this year on the Resident Evil 2 (Remake) page: "6 million copies sold, one of the highest rated games in the series, and vast acclaim from fans and critics everywhere is not "Critical Dissonance". It's not even an Acclaimed Flop. Reporting your for thread vandalism", and another on the Silent Hill 4 page dated Oct 12th this year: "Not backing for these claims from a youtuber channel infamous for lying and harassment."
For the most part, their edits usually are for good reasons but they are coming across as hostile, and their reasons seem very strange, hostile, or just off. Plus they were edit warring in this context as well, which I was part of as well and should not have, so I accept fault/responsibility for that.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanTo add to this discussion, Tropers/_____________ (I can't link to their account because what even is that username?) had the same type of situation as this for an entry regarding Anti-Climax Boss. So that should be brought up as well.
Link to the edit:Dem Boyzz removal, and the readding on it.

Well, if you ever had doubts that they are uncompromising (on top of having a handle that's purposely obnoxious for lookups)...
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom PainThe new troper in question should be brought in as well but it's been a few days and nobody has come to the Discussion tab so unsure what to do now.
Muramasa got.Maybe PM them?
Also, remember, we shouldn't be asking for others to be banned. Just report the issue and move on. There's a bit too much popcorning again lately.
Just move the example to the discussion page and see if a solution can be found there.

Yesterday (11/15) I added an entry to the Demon's Souls regarding the reception to the music for the 2020 remake in They Changed It, Now It Sucks!. The general consesus from what I have gathered is that the changes to the music are the area that is seen as changed for the worse due to the music going more into trying to be "epic", which takes away from the setting.
This was what I put originally:
Later Dem Boyz editted the entry for no reason to the following:
Now I didn't think about this and changed it back while adjusting the text a bit to be less Natter, which is edit warring so I made a mistake doing that and should have come here first. After, Dem Boyz changed it back and the message left was "You don't get to decide that".
As it reads now, this is incorrectly using the entry and doesn't actually explain what the issue is very well. Plus it doesn't matter what the original composer said, this is about the players experience. The entry he edited was adjusted by someone else prior to him changing it again, so it seems like only this troper is taking issue with it:
- While the remake has been well received for being faithful yet visually amazing, the music has not been as well received. The soundtrack is grandiose, but many find that it takes away from the somber and bleak atmosphere the game presents, making fights more epic than they actually are. The Maiden Astraea theme in particular is often cited as the biggest offender, as it sounds like it's trying to turn the fight into a grand conflict rather than an unique track.
