Well, you can't imply Values Dissonace, because YMMV can't be played with...

But, you can imply an age, and the audience can imply an age and then derive Values Dissonance from that...

Pretty long logic chain that needs a long explanation, I think.

I'd love to respond, but I can't read your wall of text.

Well, I think the issue more seems to be that Jasmine is a Ms. Fanservice, and since the widely accepted theory here is that Jasmine is 15 (even though no official, credible source has ever actually confirmed this), that's where the purported Values Dissonance comes from. But Jasmine's official age seems to be more of a Vague Age than anything else, so, kind of like what you just said, we can't really say for sure whether it's a case of Values Dissonance or not. Would it be best to just delete it then?

Is it just me, or is it getting crazier out there?

If her age is never mentioned within canon, delete.

If the director himself explicitly said they made her older because he decided depicting a 15 year old getting married wasn't right that's a pretty good sign she's been aged-up to 18-20 for the final product rather than the 15 she was in the early concepts.

So cut anything that hinges on wrongly claiming she's 15 in the final work

^ It's why things like deleted scenes tend not to be great as sources... they're not just not in the movie, but the director actively made a choice to not have it.
