Right, unless the same actor has been used consistently for the same character across all the adaptations, like how Kevin Conroy has been Batman in several different animated adaptations.

^ I don't think that counts either.

At the very least, any adaptation that started with Kevin Conroy then swapped out to someone else would be an example.

At the very least, the change should happen during the same work or series of works.

I think The Other Darrin can definitely apply to a franchise as a whole, if there was consistency in the casting up to that point.

Kevin Conroy was a bad example, though, since it wasn't until Arkham Asylum that he began voicing Batman in adaptations other than the DCAU.

Something like Ghost in the Shell would probably be a better example, since it consistently used the same voice cast for every adaptation until Ghost in the Shell: Arise, which replaced everyone. That's definitely an example in my book. Everyone was surprised at that announcement.
