I've suspended DolphZ over the edit warring.

Any possible connection to either Yonggary Fan 2011 or Yonggary 2011?

They had some wonkiness on that page in the past. Theirs was a different wonk than what we're seeing here, but given how obsessive a Single-Issue Wonk can get, I thought it worth asking.

No IP overlap that I can see, but I can't do a deep dive ATM.

I have good news and bad news.

The good news is, I messaged Daethalion about correct example placement and they seem to have taken my words to heart. Lesson learned, moving on.

The bad news is, we have a new user called Monst Squad 27 who added Base-Breaking Character and Broken Base entries to the YMMV page 6 months too early for that, then added one of them back after I deleted them and pointed out the necessary waiting period. So that's edit warring and ignoring a trope's example policy.

Weirdly all there edits seem to be focused on the film as well as bashy.

Do we need a page lock?

Any chance we're seeing ban evasion from the just-suspended DolphZ?

^^I don't think so. DolphZ was the only offender on the "Ghidorah is not pure evil" bandwagon, and we can probably put a commented-out warning at the top of the page saying, "Do not add Base-Breaking Character or Broken Base entries until at least 6 months have passed or without consulting the Broken Base cleanup thread: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=14667066520A94266400&page=1" which, if I'm not mistaken, is what we've done with past works in this situation. Someone should definitely have a talk with MonstSquad27, though. If no one else wants to, I will.

Well they've already Edit War 'd. I think a mod should take care of it.

Monst Squad 27 has been suspended for their edit warring as well...was tempted to make a coagulant joke but that's mixing metas.

I went ahead and deleted the re-added Base-Breaking Character entries then added the commented-out notice I mentioned above. That seems to be everything for now, so feel free to lock this discussion. If anything else comes up I can just make a new topic.
