As Character Death is so common, it is considered an Omnipresent Trope and thus no examples are needed. This marks it as one of the few Death Tropes that does not require a spoiler warning.

Since Character Death is so omnipresent, I'd think it probably doesn't need an entry at all, as even the trope says no examples are needed. I suggest replacing it with its most relevant subtrope(s) or removing outright where none apply.

As with any other trope, don't assume a death is self explanatory, please provide context and be descriptive when writing examples on a work's page. Also, make sure that there isn't a more specific Sub-Trope to cover the situation, which is virtually always the case
I'm not sure if this second half negates the first. Like Panty Shot, it could be a case where examples aren't wanted on the trope page itself but are okay on the work pages.

That said, I think I stand by my suggestion.

Except we don't list it as part of the Omnipresent Tropes, which is odd.

Tangent; Character Death isn't a characterization trope, so why are examples being listed under Characters?

Probably whoever did it thought it would be too spoilery on the work page itself

^^ Oy, there's a whole debate about this sort of thing in Trope Talk. Some people believe that any trope, if given character context, can be used on a character page, so that's probably why it's there (if not sgamer82's suggestion).

Yep, it is better to discuss in Trope Talk.
