The TVTropes Trope Finder is where you can come to ask questions like "Do we have this one?" and "What's the trope about...?" Trying to rediscover a long lost show or other medium but need a little help? Head to Media Finder and try your luck there. Want to propose a new trope? You should be over at You Know, That Thing Where.
If there's a trope about "different time zone gag" then your example would fit that.
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaI mean, if he's in Australia it's not really any of those things, but he definitely didn't time travel. There might be a loophole or at least a somewhat less Lame Excuse to be made if he was actually in the UK. I'm assuming he's not, if it's a Work Com in Australia? I guess I could be assuming too much on that.
Edited by UnsungIf he is, in fact, in the UK, it's Poor Communication Kills: He'd be totally correct that where he is, it is not yet Thursday. If they wanted it on Thursday by their time zone, they should have either specified that or given the deadline in his time zone. note

Do we have this one?
Is there a Sub-Trope of Loophole Abuse for this scenario:
In a Work Com set in Australia, Bob, a British person has a work assignment due in by Thursday, but he tells his boss Alice "It's still Wednesday! I'll get it in tomorrow!", even though it is Thursday in Australia due to the time difference.
Or is that just Mental Time Travel? Do we have a trope for someone who seems to be in a different time zone to everyone else?
