It's Trivia and hasn't had an Example Sectionectomy, so it looks like examples can be listed, and that there just aren't any on-page examples.

Edit: Only 51 wicks listed. Looks like it just isn't commonly used, not that there are any restrictions on use.

Honestly, though, I'd say it's more advisable not to. The concept is general enough, but going into specifics sounds like it could irritate people for judging their fandoms.

^After thinking about it more, I wouldn't object to making it a definition-only page, especially since the limited amount of wicks would make the transition easy. The page also seems more like YMMV than Trivia.

^There is no Sliding Scale Of Obscurity trope, nor does JustForFun.Sliding Scale Of Obscurity exist despite those being indexed on Just for Fun, so I don't even know what those are for.

"going into specifics sounds like it could irritate people for judging their fandoms."

That's why Fandom Life Cycle could be YMMV. There are some YMMV tropes that have annoyed me, but that's because they're YMMV and I don't have to agree with them.

Since the trope currently has an example list, yes you can add an example.

I will add the rest of the examples soon.

The Obscurity pages are sandboxes. they were originally in the main namespace, but were cut because it's impossible to objectively judge a work's obscurity. However, they're very popular with users, so one of these days I'm going to propose that we move them into the Just for Fun namespace.
