The intersection of Swiss-Army Superpower and Variant Power Copying: they can use the one power to mimic the results of a different power.
See also Inverse Law of Complexity to Power ("power to cut through any object with their sword" is defined and limited, "power to cut space" is simpler and has more uses)
Edited by Scorpion451^ Pretty sure the poster asked about a mistake, especially from an outsider's viewpoint.
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenza^ The detail of being mistaken about what someone else can do is just run of the mill I Am Not Left-Handed. The important part they're asking about, on the other hand, is a power being used in a way that can be mistaken for a completely different power.
Another example:
Zer 0 from Borderland 2 is able to turn invisible while at the same time deploy a hologram decoy at his original position.
And when he strikes, his hologram dissipates while he himself become visible once again.
From an enemy’s perspective, it is as if he teleported.
Edited by Andermann I'm afraid to write, but I like to imagine.^ so do the enemies in that game actually says something along those lines? "Did he just teleported to that point?" or something like that?
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaSome enemies say: “He just teleported!”
Others say: “How does he move so fast?”
While more “intelligent” enemies like nomads will see through the trick and say: “It’s a decoy, you morons! You can’t even tell a real person from a hologram?”, despite the fact that they were just shooting the same decoy mere seconds ago.
Edited by Andermann I'm afraid to write, but I like to imagine.^ it's definitely outside mistaking, then. Maybe worth a TLP.

When some character's ability is mistaken for something else.
For example: A swordsman seemingly have the power to sever anything with their sword, when in reality they sever the connection between space itself while leaving the physical object untouched and able to be reattached later.
