You did the right thing. I've suspended that troper.

Edit: Who is apparently a sock of the user that created the article. I have no idea what's going on there.

Probably the author if I had to guess.

The link to the comic no longer works, and it doesn't appear to be anywhere else on the intertron. Should it go in unpublished works or something now? Also, does the page really need four different images of the characters farting? With detailed captions about their anatomies and gastrointestinal functionality?

I'm beginning to wonder if tossing the whole thing wasn't a bad idea after all.

Fighteer: That is pretty weird.

Drac Monster: I agree, it should be cut. So if there are no objections, I'm going to take it over to the cutlist.

Having the words "Sonic" and "Girls" in the same title is an alarm raiser if I've ever seen one. The only good thing to come out of this is that now I know that wasn't just paranoia from my part. Cut it.

There are people who make work pages for their own works and there are people who try to remove their own work from the Internet. Seems like we are dealing with someone who fits both descriptions here.

Also, that tumblr is still on Webarchive. That images have to go, though.

^Based on the history, it would appear the author (assuming my theory is correct) is the only person who ever worked on the page. Having perused the description, I'm going to take a wild guess and say it never inspired anyone to go and experience the comic's, um... true glory... for themselves. Or lend their Wiki Magic to the page.

I know we supposedly want everything that's not porn, but I honestly think nothing of value would be lost in burning this one to the ground.

This is exactly how I feel. Hell, I think we'd rather have some porn over this.

I admit that archive is an interesting study in Bile Fascination. You can't stop reading to see how much more unfunny it gets.

I think we seriously need to consider zapping this. I mean, what's next? Scat comics? Burn it.

Most tropes on the page are also about "anatomies and gastrointestinal functionality", for the record. Somehow, I feel that the page was intended to be a masturbatory shrine from the get-go.

I tried searching through the policies on inappropriate content as much as I could, but didn't find anything mentioning works that are primarily meant to arouse people with certain fetishes despite not showing actual sex (such as this comic, which is just Sonic characters farting on each other). If there is such a rule, could someone tell me where to find it? Otherwise, it would be a good idea to add it.

The P5 is generally looking out for pornographic (or pedo) works, but works that exist only to serve a specific fetish may well be lumped into the "porn" category depending on how offensive they are to everyone else. Can't hurt to flag it and see what they decide, anyway.

The Content Policy and the 5P Circuit is the policy page in question. That said, based upon precedent only flat out pornos and paedophile-pandering works are cut; merely being fetishistic is not usually a cut reason, not under that policy anyhow.

Flagging won't hurt, though.

^^ So if a work contains, say, copious amounts of Gorn then it falls outside the P5's jurisdiction?

Yes. Gorn is not a cut reason.

To be blunt, the whole article appears to have been written one-handed. I think it can be discarded on the grounds that it's not up to wiki standards and... well, raise your hand if you're interested in improving it?

Anyone? Bueller?

In short, I think we can substitute common sense for going strictly by-the-book here.

There is a general feeling of "cut now" among the mods I queried. It certainly wouldn't bother me.

From what I understand the primary reason pure porn was given the boot was because there was not any real meaningful conversation to be had re:tropes. If a work is purely fetish I do not see why it cannot be cut for the same reason. A work that merely has fetish content in it w/o being 100% about that fetish would be left alone, obvs.

Flag it, hand it to the P5.

EDIT: Done. Also, https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13349331300A11026600&page=446 is the thread where individual works are discussed to determine whether they violate our content policy, and https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13455504440A12780100&page=56 is the thread where you can ask questions about the content policy as a whole.
