Yes, yet what if the "Curbstomping" is coming from something π°π΅π©π¦π³ than a sentient creature intent on causing harm?
If we're talking specifically about a nasty/villainous character and the "epiphany" is centered on their change of morality, then it sounds more like simple Heel Realization, HeelβFace Turn, or at least something in that area. As it happens, there's a Grinch quote at the top of Face Realization.

Alice looks at the escape pod, then at the fortune in unobtainium she's carrying, then back down the corridor where she can hear the rest of the crew trying to hold off the alien monstrosities. Cut to profanity-laden muttering as she heads back towards the cargo hold loading unobtainium pellets into her blaster's reaction chamber.

The trope that consistently puts a lump in my throat whenever it occurs, is best exemplified by the part of π»ππ€ πβπ πΊππππβ ππ‘πππ πΆβπππ π‘πππ ! which is narrated as:
And what happened then? Well, in Whoville they say That the old Grinch's heart grew π΅π©π³π¦π¦ sizes that day. And then the true meaning of Christmas came through, And the Grinch found the strength of ten Grinches, plus two!
It's that moment where a character's epiphany changes the whole situation, and they are able to transcend themselves and/or what they have been, conquering the challenge before them, often with sudden ease. What Trope is that?
