Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
It doesn't look like the theories were removed, just the responses. WMG is not meant to be a forum, so technically removing natter isn't against the rules.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI see, may I ask was the removed examples "natter"? I did not think it was, but I could be mistaken. On WMG how does one gauge "natter"
While WMG is not for chatting, I don't see what's much different about those deleted paragraphs from the others that say if a theory is more or less believable. If WMG isn't meant to have responses, then 1. WMG needs to be specific about its format 2. most of the pages are like this.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupWMG is kind of odd, in that the rules about Natter are still there, but kinda not as strictly enforced (if I'm honest, I'm not even certain what the rules are myself).
In theory, you can respond to or elaborate on a WMG (because unlike the rest of the wiki it's some random person's guess, so the "using one voice" guideline doesn't apply), but...
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerThanks you kindly. It is indeed a bit of balancing act sometimes.
Maybe we should Wiki Talk this. Everything at Sub Wiki falls of from editing rules, but not all of them have stated rules of their own.

Regarding https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/WMG/TheDayTheEarthStoodStill2008 a couple of WMG where removed for " excess text"
I reviewed the text in question they did not seem excessive. It is possible the person who removed them Global Coalition 20 did so due to not agreeing with them. I admit one of the "excess text" is one of my own . While I understand disagreeing with an WMG , removing for "excess text" seems unwarranted.
