The "Zuckerberg is a lizard person/robot/alien/etc" bit was a fairly common joke about people finding his charisma and people skills lacking back when Facebook first started losing popularity, so it's probably a reference to that, but I agree that it's unnecessary and can be cut given the unfortunate connotations. The first sentence is fine on its own as a laconic.
Edited by ZarinaWhile jokes about Mark Zuckerburg as being non-human (usually a lizardman) are common, I'm fine with the second part being removed. There's only supposed to be one laconic and that laconic should be the very first part as it's acceptable and describes what the movie is about.

Edited by Cutegirl920fire Victor of HGS S320 | "There's rosemary, that's for remembrance. Pray you, love, remember."Yeah, it's not an antisemitic joke; the joke is that Zuckerburg falls into the Uncanny Valley so people refer to him as inhuman. It has nothing to do with the "lizard people" conspiracy, more along the lines of "he's an extraterrestrial".
But yeah there's no reason to make that joke in the laconic of all things.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness
The laconic entry for The Social Network currently reads as follows:
That second part feels in very poor taste to me, since the whole "lizard people" thing is veeeerrrry prevalent in alt-right circles as an antisemitic talking point. To be clear, I don't think whoever added that bit is necessary antisemitic; the origins of the "lizard people" conspiracy theory isn't super well-known, and I often see it passed around as a joke or meme by people who think it's a dumb but harmless idea held by a few crackpots, not realizing the very, very bad roots to the whole thing. But referring to a real Jewish person as a lizardman just feels like a bad look.
Good to axe that bit?
