Un-privatizing because this isn't something that needs to be mod only.
Hiding retronyms under a custom title is allowed but was never a strict requirement. Hiding numbers via custom title can be done but it's not required. If people feel that unhiding the number via custom title isn't needed, that's something that can be discussed.
I already told you why I rejected the custom title (confusion with Xenoblade Chronicles and convenience) and pointed you to the thread where this decision was made. If you would like to argue for the number to be hidden again again, you bring the discussion over to that thread.

There's no strict rules on using potholes or using | markup to hide the 1 as that's a style thing. I personally think it's misleading but there's no hard rules.
There has been discussion on having a formal policy on wiki talk but no agreement has been reached and discussion has since fizzled out.
Macron's notes
According to the How to Make a Custom Title page, this is permitted:
But I submitted a custom title with that intent, for VideoGame.Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and it seems to be rejected.
Has there been a policy change to push the retronym as the display title even if isn't the work's official title?
