Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Probably the original was deleted because of the snarky tone towards "progressives" (their words), c.f. Rule of Cautious Editing Judgement.
In any case the page is right on the edge of an edit war right now.
That's not good.
Pages can be locked if they attract multiple Righting Great Wrongs editors, but it would require an evidence.
If you're unsure why an editor removed something you've added, the logical action is to ask Bob_the_procrastinator directly. (Avenger09, you've added No Such Thing as Bad Publicity and not Overshadowed by Controversy.)
Edited by Amonimus TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI've doubled checked the page history and the only problem was Stanisz edit warring and eventually bounced per this (which also reminds to use the complaining-cleaning thread), so the page is not "on the edge of an edit war" as far as I'm cocerned.
Edited by Amonimus TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupWhoops, must have gotten the two confused in my head.
A YMMV trope can't be "attempted", it either happens or it doesn't. This sounds more like Trolling Creator tbh.
I didn't choose the troping life, the troping life chose meThat actually sounds more fitting.
BTW. I sent a message to Bob, I'll let you guys know if he replies.
Edited by Avenger09His reply was that a trope page, even UMMV, are only about the media itself and not the drama surrounding it.
I've seen plenty of pages reference similar behind-the-scenes drama so I'm unsure why this particular Video Game would be an exception.

The reason given was odd since I thought I had actually convayed that very same point. If it was too unclear then why didn't they simply edit it to properly do so rather than deleting it outright?
