Why not both? Many works have both. Just, ya know, describe the individual events as Tear Jerker and let The Woobie be for the overall depressing character.

The thing is the YMMV doesn't have a Tear Jerker and I was worried that it would come off as stating the obvious as well as treating certain cliches with more weight than they deserve.
Tear Jerker is entirely for audience reaction, so if you legitimately found it sad, it counts.

But then why wouldn't it already have a Tear Jerker tab then? Plenty of people played the game found these moments sad. I'm not trying to be rude, it's just I'm worried that making a Tear Jerker tab will be redundant considering how the Woobie tab is being used.
It doesn't have a Tear Jerker because no one has made one yet. You could be that person.

I did start a Tear Jerker tab and woof, it'll be a bit long, hopefully it won't be a repeat of the Long Exposure Heartwarming Fiasco.
While I have everyone's attention should I add a Crossing the Line Twice tab for one moment in particular? Are there any specific rules I should be aware of?
If there's only one CTLT example (or going to be), then there's no reason for a tab.
I also question why there are so many Woobie examples. If "virtually all of the main cast" is a Woobie at some point, is anyone really a Woobie?
I mean characters that are Woobies in their own arcs are going to be flat characters in other's routes, so I shall now argue for Schrodinger's Woobie. People are Woobies in their own stories and less so in someone else's.

I have a habit of editing for the game Extracurricular Activities and I was wondering if I should make a Tear Jerker tab or add to the already existing Woobie tab? The example is a depressing moment in the game, but several other moments in the game are depressing and are used as Woobie justification.
