To the specific question - there is no way to expand the whole image, it is already at maximum width allowed on wiki pages. It needs to be replaced or cropped to focus on most meaningful parts, for which you should make a thread in aforementioned Image Pickin.
Just an observation - using a full page from a comic as page image doesn't quite do the job if you can't read the talk bubbles - the text is microscopic. Is there a way of expanding theimage so as to be able to read it?
