I don't know you, and have just read through the links, but I have to say that your response to this post doesn't really feel indicative that you have understood or accepted the core of the complaint here. It feels flippant and snarky.

That incident with that Maddoxsort person raised my eyebrows if only because of how harshly (and badly) the Narm entries were written (putting mockery at the expense of context and clarity, repeatedly calling the creator a child).
I recall another comment on ATT where he made a comment and then said he wanted to be the resident Deadpan Snarker on the site (which is a bold statement considering at least 70% of tropers probably want to be the biggest Deadpan Snarker on the site), but I can't find it right now.
I don't think you're ill-intentioned or anything, Robert, but your attempts to be snarky sometimes end up being disruptive.

The thing is, in today's incident you indicated by your wording that you already knew the joke was in poor taste, but you still posted it anyway and only took it out when a large number of other tropers complained. You already "thought twice".
That makes it seem, to me, like the problem is less you being thoughtless when you post snark and more that you can't help yourself.
What concerned me is that Robert seem to be a good editor but their behavior is a problem. So much that chances are that they are gonna get permanently suspended if they keep on behaving like this and I don't want that.

I want to bump this because I notice something else Robert is doing that feels unproductive. At least twice now, he has popcorn posted and then immediately called for the thread to be locked to "prevent" popcorn posting... even when he was the only one doing so.
In the latter case, he only posted just to basically make a joke that he wasn't popcorn posting. We didn't even have any mod confirmation yet that the issue was resolved, so the call to lock was premature at the time and came across as just a bandage for the unproductive comment. I was going to dissuade him from doing that but the thread locked right as I was posting.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
Are we going to drag this out again?

A PM would have been better in this case. If another problem develops, then a new query can be made. If the new report is related, just link to the old one. In some cases, reports are left open in case new aspects develop (such as PM abuse), so they don't need to be immediately locked after moderator intervention.
This is getting locked because the original problem appears to have been settled and a new report can, optionally, link here if it continues in the same trend.

Robert TYL has proven time and time again how prone they are to making aggressive comments and violating the "Don't be a dick" rule.
The kicker? In the "new troper made poorly-formatted character page" thread I linked, it was mentioned that is was the fifth time they had made such aggressive comments in ATT threads alone. The "discussing suicide" thread incident happened the following day.
