My inner 5 year old is satisfied. Ducktales was one of my favorite Disney Afternoon shows.
Anyone else think that the villain in the Duck Tales' first episode looked like Edward James Olmos in Blade Runner.
I don't think the UK ever got Duck Tales (-cry-) but that was a lot of fun. And I have nothing but love for Dr. Tease and Dr. Block insanity. (Although, Doug, sweetie, sunscreen is a wonderful creation for us pale people.)
I cut up one dozen new men and you will die somewhat, again and again.Meh, I never really liked Duck Tales, it was just to different from the regular Disney Comcis.
They might have aired Duck Tales here on Saturday Disney, but I was never able to watch it.
Incidentally, was it status quo for Scrooge to never get anything larger or more valuable than a coin from any of the adventures? Like so many other shows (I actually enjoyed it when One Piece averted that at the end of Skypiea).
A corpse should be left well enough alone...This just reminds me of why I hate Ducktales. Because of Yanks who don't know about the much better comics it's based on.
That, and the fact that I can just read the much better comics to spare myself of the horrible voice acting.
Don Rosa has said that if he hadn't had Disney looming over him, he'd have written an Unca Scrooge story where Ducktales is an in-universe show that uses Scrooge's image illegally, and he sues the makers.

He didn't look that bad on my computer screen, but then I hooked it up to the TV and suddenly he's a freaking lobster.
Having never watched Duck Tales (woo-oo) growing up, Doug's review made me interested in taking a look. Oh, and loved the Sherri Stoner clip.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Given that we already know Suede's got stuff done, anyone wondering what's taking his big return so long? I mean, even if this is the only video he's finished since he's been back it's something. Put it up on the main page so we can stop pretending it doesn't exist!
"Forget the sword; I'm so confident in my ninja skills I'm going to kill you with three kicks to the face."

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. He has returned after coming back from his missionary life.
He ALSO now has a full-time job.
Give him time.
I didn't watch Ducktales as a kid (I don't think it was ever broadcast here. Saw the movie though.) but... TUNE!!!
Duck Tales! Ooo-ooo! Every day they're out there making Duck Tales! Ooo-ooo! Tales of daring do bad and good Duck Tales! Ooo-ooo!
And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)I get that, and I'm fine with that. My point is—he has at least one video finished. Why is TGWTG taking their time putting it on the site? I have a hard time believing he only made that one video in the five months between that showing up on You Tube and now, is all, and even if that's the case at least it's something.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. For what it's worth, the Finnish version of the theme song was funnier.
Definatly was shown in Scotland. It used to be on many of the old saturday morning shows they used to have. I remember it fondly
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."Did it help that Scrooge is Scottish?
Nah I think Disney producing most of the saturday shows of the period helped. We got talespin, darkwing duck, bonkers, gooftroop and many more I forgot during that time too
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."First off. I think Doug and all the others forget sunscreen exists.
Secondly yes the Banks comics are superior. But the cartoon is mindless fun.

The reason Benzaie didn't like Twilight Princess is because it's pretty much a rehash of Ocarina of Time. Every Zelda game that came after it (Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, the handheld games that weren't ports) introduced new concepts to the Zelda formula in order to stay fresh, so what does Twilight Princess do? Make you play as a wolf that barely has any difference to playing as a human. The sky people were lame, the items gained in each dungeon are barely used after you leave the dungeon (especially when compared to Ocarina of Time), the final item was a copy of the same item, and let's not forget Ganondorf showing up in a very contrived way. It basically had differences, but not enough to get out of being a rehash. He is still looking forward to the new Zelda game, FYI.
Edit: I like Twilight Princess, but it was my least favorite of the Zelda games I've played and agree with almost everything Benzaie said.

I'm also an anime blogger.Really? I don't remember it. When was it shown, roughly? I know the US run ended before I was born, so maybe that has something to do with it.
And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)I can't remember the series too much from when I was young, but I saw an episode a year or two back, so it was definitely aired here.
... Unless I saw it at my sister's house in England, but close enough.
Loved the movie though. Think I've still got a copy somewhere.

Toon disney played not too long ago in the US.
:smug:@Printer Thorn: So basically, It's the Same, So It Sucks?
I'm still wondering what Man with the Plan was talking about, though.
So, I'm thinking of becoming an internet critic, is this a good place to ask for advice?
:smug:Actually I want the same to do the same thing. Where should we go?

The cameos and such in that Duck Tales episode seemed really forced for the most part, as did a lot of the jokes. On the other hand, I never felt so nostalgic watching the show. Every time I heard some of the show's soundtrack, I was like, "oh god I still recognize that?!"
