Errr... No she's not. Hoshido is an Heir Club for Men, as explained by Hinoka herself at the end of Conquest, since by the end of Conquest both the heir and the spare are dead.
She's only inheriting the throne because she's the older of the two Hoshidan Royals left.

Only in the Japanese version. The English version doesn't seem to have it, since this is what is said (SPOILERS, obviously):
"I just…can’t help it. I never thought it would fall to me to rule Hoshido. I always took it for granted that Ryoma would eventually be king. And after him, I suppose I expected to pass on the honor to Takumi. I never had any interest in the throne. My brothers were the born leaders…"
One could interpret it as Hinoka willingly abdicating the throne to Takumi, just like Camilla does at the end of Birthright.

This was also the first time I felt I flat-out needed stat-boosters to proceed. I felt sort of like a cheat, which I know is bizarre because the stat-boosters are in the game and that's what they're there for.
Even if it is an Heir Club for Men, Sumeragi specifically naming Mikoto as his successor would probably suffice to bypass it, at least in that specific instance.
I've decided my MVP was Kaden. He grew into a nice little ball of Speed and Resistance that let him dodge-tank physical attacks and straight-up tank mages. He was actually more reliable than Takumi by the end.

Okay, I need to mention this.
When I reclassed Magus into a Diviner, on the opening scene for Chapter 8 Birthright, his talisman thing is open while he's on battle stance so pieces are floating around and going through him. And it remains open even while Iago is gloating, so it looks so silly. I guess Iago (and everyone for that matter) is too polite to tell Magus to close his spell talisman.

Fire Emblem Heroes Code: 4547311645 Fate/Grand Order Code: 188037115"Please don't just whip out your talisman like that..."
On a related note, I remember my Corn blocking Xander's "reflex test" with a book.

On my last run, Corrin blocked it with a bow.
There was also some amusing shenanigans with the Bow Knight armor's shoulderpiece blocking the view in some first-person perspective cutscenes.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Disappointingly, I acquired all the S-Rank weapons (except the axe if there is one) but somehow didn't manage to get anyone there except Ryoma.
Birthright only has the S-rank Sword, Lance, Bow, and Shuriken.
Conquest has the Tome, Axe, and Staff.
I think I gave Setsuna the Pursuer, but she got more mileage out of an Illusory Yumi.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I take it Revelation has them all?
Yes.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Yep.
Honestly, though, only the S-rank Tome and Shuriken are any good (and they are indeed quite broken). The others all have too many downsides to be worth using, like the B- and A-Rank weapons. And the staff only has one use.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! What downsides are these may I ask?
The staff is also pretty much worthless even without the Too Awesome to Use aspect if you're playing Casual.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Bow Knight's animations for using a bow in cutscenes (for female!Corrin, at least) use Apocatherapy's "shaking in my boots" animations, which are both hilarious and drama killing.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television. They cut your Strength stat in half after use, until your next attack.
The S-rank Tome and Shuriken simply give you a -5 penalty to your Defense and Resistance, which is a lot, but they're super-powerful, have absurdly high crit rates, and give you +5 effective speed, so pretty much anyone using one is going to OHKO whatever they're fighting. And since Sorcerors and Master Ninjas can't really take hits anyway, the defense penalty isn't that significant. Just make sure they don't end their turn in enemy range like you normally do with them.
Honestly, sticking with Odin or Nyx through Conquest is almost worth it just to watch them reduce everything in Chapter 27 and Endgame to a smear on the wall.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Hey, the Waterwheel's probably better than any of the ranged S-Rankers. It has +5 Def, Res and +20 Dodge. When you're made virtually indestructable, a bit of damage decrease is no big deal. Not to mention, on the off-hits, Waterwheel will typically deal as much as, if not more than, the Guard Nagi, so it's pretty much a straight upgrade.
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiAn interesting thing I found is that the attack penalty gets weird when dealing with Dual Strikes. I think that if they do a dual strike, it will restore your unit's strength back to normal.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television. The Waterwheel does have good perks that put it above the other one-range weapons, but it's also held back by being a one-range weapon.
Excalibur and the Chakram, meanwhile, make up for the biggest flaw of 1-2 range weapons by being super-powerful.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Eh, the Waterwheel doesn't need to be ranged, anyway. The Guard Nagi is generally a god weapon despite not being 1~2-range because it's a very safe tanking weapon that sets up enemies to be ruined. And the Waterwheel is a marked step up from that.
Oh, and I forgot to add before: Master Ninja can totally take hits. If they're Xander. Mine still had enough physical bulk after reclassing to tank 3-4 hits, plus suddenly the Spd and Res boost combined moved him from being nearly one-rounded to being 2-3KO. It's super easy to set up, too, since Xander and Kaze work very well as a pair team.
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiThere's something hilarious about reclassing the royal siblings into opposite-nation classes. Especially if you do it in routes other than Revelation.
In fact, thanks to Silas, you can have Ryoma square off against Xander as a fellow Paladin!
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Heh, yeah. The best part of Xander as a Master Ninja was the open-chested outfit. Add in that I had a Chef's Hat on him the entire him and he looked like something straight out of Iron Chef. Made the cut-scenes pretty epic.
FE: Genealogy Story Run 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiI'm starting to think the only way to clear Conquest Chapter 17 is to shove Corn into support for Xander and have everyone else hang at least two spaces behind him.
But then the reinforcements coming from all sides would still be a problem...
Well, I'll beat it nexty try. Probably.
Only way those Master Ninja could be worse if they stacked Savage Blow on top of that Poison Strike and Grissly Wound. Not even Xander survives without some +Def support once the initial Silver Shuriken stat drop hits him with all those post-combat damages and then he starts taking Scratch Damage from the other Mechanists and Master Ninjas...
BTW, am I the only one who likes the Sorcerer classes crit animation? Power Floats to the max.
Edit: I was wrong.
