Sucks for Parson. I don't know what he can do if all those archons join the fray. Maybe if Stanley makes it back Just in Time, but the archons can one-shot dwagons so he might be hooooosed regardless.
Productivity is for people without internet connections. -Count DorkuHold on, Haven. We don't know what the terms are. For all we know, it's "You give us the Arkenpliers, I'll stop helping out the Tool."
In short: TV Tropes Is Not Your Porn Stash@raekuul: Well, he's not helping Parson right now. He's just not interfering.
But if the terms are such that he can only afford one or two archons, it might be a little better.
Although come to think of it, since Ansom's been knocked off his high log, that means the zombies and whatever other ground units they can muster can swarm him. Dunno if that's a feasible strategy, but with Wanda's bonus it might work.
Productivity is for people without internet connections. -Count Dorku"NSFW!" Should've known that's what Shockmancy would be about.
I hope anyone who doesn't get the joke goes to the forum instead of trying to look those up
Hee. "Lemonparty, Tubgirl, Meatspin... Goatse!" I also love the "4chan" Unsound Effect.
the dice are loaded, the deck is stacked, the game itself will hold you backI especially like the "pull my finger", simply because it took a me minute to notice it.
Your funny quote here! (Maybe)"4CHAN" as the sound effect of a mushroom cloud of dung is simply too perfect.
I didn't write any of that.Anyone think the "4CHAN" panel would make a better pic for Unsound Effect than the "PLOT" one that's up there right now? I'm conflicted... "PLOT" was pretty perfect too.
I think Erfworld needs a "Crowning Unsound Effect Of Awesome" page.
the dice are loaded, the deck is stacked, the game itself will hold you backOh, that's what it read, I was really squinting to figure it out. I thought the c was a e.
But yeah, I lul'd at the strip.
the statement above is falseNah, Plot was better because the person reading the page can tell what that meant, and why it was used, just from that panel. Wheras this would make no sense out of context.
Your funny quote here! (Maybe)Can anyone recommend videogames that are close to Erfworld? I've tried the HOMM series, which is close but quite. Is there anything else out there?
Damnit. Now I've got Thriller stuck in my head.

You've lost. You're the Bomb Squad after the bomb's gone off. I'm the blast ongoing.Billie Jean is Michael Jackson's best song.

So it's looking like he's gonna surrender. Or is it another trick? I think he may just be out of tricks; a decoy Parson surrendering to Ansom (probably Bogroll, just because), maybe, but that won't actually do him much good except for stalling. I think the only thing that can save him now is Stanley returning in the nick of time, which I've been expecting for a while.
Funny how much Charles feels like a straight villain in this one, wheras before he was quite gray and up for grabs.
Your funny quote here! (Maybe)Oh I'd say he's still grey and up for grabs. He passes on the bogus surrender offer despite knowing that Parson's not genuine. And then today his Archons stood back and let the trick go ahead without warning because they're not being paid to pierce illusions.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's a cunning plan afoot here, either by Parson (who may well have planned for a last minute cross by Charles in advance) or Charles himself (who might've just buffed Ansom to see what Parson would do with an overconfident enemy).
Either that or Parson's royally screwed and only the last minute success of Stanley's quest will turn the tide.
In case you've forgotten, Stanley's quest already failed, and he realized that it was a sign from the titans that he shouldn't have left the fort. Presumably he then started heading back.
Oh, and called it.

Your funny quote here! (Maybe)Did we actually see the Tool fail? I just assumed that we were going to go back to him as a "Meanwhile" segment or later flashback.
In short: TV Tropes Is Not Your Porn StashVinnie is a great character. I'm kind of surprised he hasn't been killed, though I do worry for his life at this point.
And, man, Erworld's just been firing on all cylinders lately. It was annoying when Ansom pulled another Deus ex Machina out of his ass thanks to the archons, but Parson's response was just amazing. I mean, when the box said "ruthlessness", it wasn't kidding...
Productivity is for people without internet connections. -Count DorkuSo if Parson's already won, in the sense that he obliterated the invading army (and killed the main villain, and ruined the plans of the man behind the man) without the capitol being captured, exactly how much action is there left to show? I mean, the entire rest of the comic should be falling action at this point. The vampires and Charlie are all that's left, and I don't see either launching an attack right now.
Your funny quote here! (Maybe)They're going to start a new storyline after this (and it's going to have its own website apparently). From the Order Of The Stick Forums:

Productivity is for people without internet connections. -Count DorkuHe's just massively destabilized the political balance of the world- plenty of work opportunity for the Perfect Warlord.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?Remember, Stanley's ultimate goal is still to rule the world. Parson's only just managed to thwart the attempt to take their last city.
...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back. And now the capital is in ruins, most units lost...
Yeah, it's gonna be a uphill battle, but it will be aided by the chaos that will ensue of the power struggle between the sides in the ex-coalition.
Of course, there will be people wanting to revenge Parson for wiping out their entire armies.
the statement above is false
Haven speaks the truth:
And I gotta hand it to R. Balder for making me care about both sides of the war.
