A: I admit I missed the first few scenes of the movie, but I saw no indication that the facehuggers specifically eat the liver (or any other organ—for all we know they're there for the body heat more than anything else and just nibble on their surroundings).

B: The elixir makes humans immortal. We're not even told for sure that it would work on Youkai, though most fandom assumes it would. Something without even a slight relation to humans might just not get anything.

C: It's still too risky to try.

D: Luckily, if she gets infected, or even suspects she's infected, she can just kill herself right away and take it out with her.

Given that we've even lost interest in how Mokou would handle Xenomorphs, I think we're done with her. Alice next?

I grow increasingly umbraged over the lack of love for the unnamed giant catfish, clearly the most awesome character in any media ever. But I'll throw my vote at Alice. She's pretty cool when she's not being made to moooooon over Marisa.

I just hope it doesn't come too early tomorrow, so I can wake up and finish my mega-post. I wanted to finish it now, but it's 1:31 AM and my brain can't write anything coherent anymore.

This post is mostly here because I haven't been posting enough.

Well, this is new. I'm finding myself unable to decide on whom to ship a character with. The only ships I really cared for until now are Cirno/Daiyousei and Yuyuko/Youmu, but now there's the choice between Mokou/Keine, /Kaguya and... /Mystia because seriously I love that comic. Mokou just seems like someone who really needs someone to love!

Now, Kaguya is a little silly for a partner. Not much of a fan of Foe Yay, I guess Kaguya's more like some sort of un-sister for her. Now Keine and Mokou make a really cute couple, and it makes sense... And Mystia doesn't really have a direct connection, only if you accept the work relationship posed in that comic, and even then, a relationship will only come out of that if the author wants them to just happen to be attracted to one another... But in the end, I think the clincher is that Keine is... short-lived. Mokou has lived a long time, and I think she'd be aware that getting too emotionally invested in the lady would only spell misery for her in what constitutes about a year or two in her felt time... Being a youkai, Mystia would probably live a lot longer than that... Hmm.

In any case, if you want Alice, decide on someone to start the discussion!

Not that I'm against Alice but, err... I thought the pattern for the topic was UU and below characters comes after OU and above characters <<;

Oh well, we've got the majority of discussable characters over with at this point, people didn't immediately dart for the obvious ones so there's still plenty of good people left to talk about, and there's an overwhelming demand for the lady with the French-looking but not -sounding name, so... Oh well! The whole discussion-starting procedure is inefficient enough as it is without throwing a wrench into the voting.

Mokou USED to be UU, until the post was actually made and it was realized she was not UU at all.

So it still works.

Am I right to assume that IOSYS is the one to popularise the "Tsundere Alice" thing?

Because if so, I really don't like IOSYS.

It was pretty common before that too. When it was released it was already an "obvious" thing, so it's not like they started the meme.

Edit: It did create a lot of new Touhou for whom that was their primary and initial understanding of her though.

What's with all the mega Tsundere Alice hate?

Sure, it's done too often, but it's fine as long as it's not done badly, and that's more the fault of the writer for not doing good.

Personally, I hate when someone turns Alice into someone whose entire personality is "likes Marisa but won't admit it" because there's so many more interesting things about her which then get over-shadowed. I mean, she's an EX-boss that chooses to fight as a third-stage boss because she likes doll strategy more than POWER OVERWHELMING. She has ridiculous devotion to her craft. And she talks to her dolls. Which is probably to troll her guests.

So, I guess I don't hate tsundere Alice so much as I hate badly-written Alice. I don't like Patchy to mooooooooooooooon over Marisa either.

Or Cho-Marisa. But that's something else entirely.

Yeah, I'd agree there. You can't really make that the sole facet, or it's not well working, but I think Tsundere Alice is fine in-so-far as an idea, as long as it's not ploddingly bad.

Same with most characters really.

I just can't see Alice that way, because I see her as a total badass (see previously posted boast). If she was in love with Marisa, she'd be upfront about it, dammit, not stalk her and shit. And I don't think she is. She lives all by herself out in the woods, obviously she wants to be left alone. If she wanted to live around other people, she'd go live in the village. I can imagine her having respect for Marisa as a fellow magician, even being friends with her, but not being in love with her. Similar deal for Marisa - she probably likes being alone most of the time so she can study magic without being disturbed.
