"Simple." Narumi said. "We beat the living shit out of him." Narumi said as he rushed in, shooting his Skull Magnum at the Nomad.

Irritation sinks in the Doctor's voice. "If I knew a way I would have told you already!"

"So what, do we just make it up as we go then?"

"No, we make a plan of attack. I suggest people with explosive abilities use the first, then meleers will head in and finish the job, with support from ranged weapon wielders."
He pointed at Spriggan and the support crew.

"And if you have explosive abilities, ranged weapons and can fight at close range?" Link yelled back as he cut at a soldier.

"Use the explosives first, then when everyone else is heading in to melee, switch to the one you can do most damage with."

" You... betray me... so?" chuckled Omega, spitting fluids up from his mouth as he felt the digestive powers take effect. " You... truly... wish... to incur my wrath?" Omega was truly in bad shape; a bleeding, twisted, mutilated wreck, sustained only by whatever arcane technology he had wrought into the workings of his mysterious weaponry. Ichor-flushed vials pumped chemicals into them, their contents better left unspoken of, and his eyes burned with hatred. " So... be... it." With that, the machiner around him thrummed to horrible life, lightning arcing from the tendrils that suddenly ensnared his former apprentic as needles dug into her skin. A glowing green nimbus surrounded her as she felt her powers becoming weaker and weaker, even as, bizarrely, Omega's wounds began to heal at an accelerated rate, the senior Nomad smiling beatifically as he watched his rogue minion wither. " Do you enjoy it?" he asked mockingly, his speech evidently growing stronger as he absorbed the energy. " Do you see why I am not a master to be trifled with?"

Even as Omega attacked Eta, several of his machines began to beep insistantly.

"Current power level at ninety percent," that console intoned once more. "Barring change in the rate of depletion, complete power loss projected to occur within eighty-one minutes."

The Danse Macabre Codex

Eta howled out, the very sound enough to flay the flesh off of regular mortals alone. As he attempted to escape, he noted that his powers were being drained by Omega himself, who somehow managed to eat Eta himself, no little feat at all.

"Hehe... I hope you choke..." Without warning, Eta began glowing a green color, the three eyes the brightest points of all. He then consumed himself to escape, doing the Nomadic equivalent of chewing off your own limb to escape a bear trap. He then opened a portal and flung his shrinking form into it, his blood arcing past as he closed it around himself.

With a bang, he smashed back on the surface of the planet from the other side, now a much smaller version. It looked like he somehow became the equivalent of a first grader, his small frame wreathed inside the cloak like an infant, many patches of skin burnt or cut. He laid face down on the floor, unable to pull himself out of that groveling position.

Always be ready to do the unusual and unexpected.

Gordon was getting sick of these things. Really, really sick of them. He kept low, under cover. There wasn't much that could put the bastards down... when in doubt...

He stowed his pulse rifle, and shouldered his RPG.

Blink scrambled back into cover, holding her head. The attempt to return Xi's memories to her had failed, they had died with Quingenti. But something had resulted, Digamma's attack on her had a result.

All at once, every bad memory Blink ever had was forced to the surface. At first, they were simple and fairly painless. Ten year old Kamiyu Tsuri trips and skins her knee. It was painful, but the memory itself was not. But as they went on, the severity grew worse and worse. A massive bullet zooming past Blink's head, so close it nearly took it off. The fear was immense. That time... the time she failed, the only time she failed, when they had captured her... and then they took her to him. He laughed, and then suddenly it was around her head, going tight. Control of her body was ripped away from her mind, and she was forced to fight those she knew... and then finally being freed when the device was pulled from her head. And then... Yiri leaving... moving away forever to escape the danger she'd been placed in because of Blink's actions...

Blink shook her head, tears rolling down her face. Her head snapped up, her soft features hardening into an expression of anger. She focused on the good times, the fun times, not the sad ones or the horrible ones. The nomad who had done this... Digamma. She could guess it was him from what had been said... she'd never felt this angry before. She was going to kill him.

She barely noticed that a fraction of Xi's power, ushered in by Digamma, had reentered her body. The golden nomad's efforts to return Blink to what she once was had returned such power to her, if only a fraction of it. Extremely faintly, almost invisibly, a line of red, blue, and purple hovered above her clothing and skin. Blink was unaware of the power the had returned to her for the moment, caught in anger and sadness.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

"Oh shit." Mason muttered when he saw Blink.
"Digamma is going down. First ripping Raz to pieces, then this."

The Doctor catches the lines.

"That's it! You have gone too far you sadistic wanker! You've lost your last chance for mercy!"

Rey glanced over from where he was sheltering, eyes widening slightly when he saw Blink...but he left her alone for the moment. He'd seen that particular look on faces before, many times over the course of his career, and it hadn't taken him long to realize that when you saw it, the only real option was to just stay out of the way.

Easing back into life one step at a time

Spriggan prepared to fire his K3 at the ready.

With a cry of concern, Link ran over to Blink, kneeling by the girl.

“Blink. Blink, it’s okay…”

He laid a hand on her shoulder.

“Don’t lose sight of who you are. Yes, you may have been a Nomad – but that changes nothing. You are our friend, Blink, and we love you. So please , stay strong. Have Courage.”

“We fight for you.”

With that, he began to shine with a golden light, and gripping his sword firmly, he strode into battle.

They could not stop him. He would fight, for Blink, for everyone else –

For his family.

And with that thought in his head, he threw himself at the enemy.

They had gone too far, and they would pay.

For a moment, Blink was perplexed. Nomad? She's not a nomad. She tilted her head, the anger fading for a few seconds.

"I'm not a nomad..."

And then it came back a full force.

"But I'm going to kill one of them!"

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

"Great, she's gone crazy..."

"Now she's lost it... She knows she can kill..." Narumi said, after retreating from his attack on the solders.

The Doctor smiles. "Even a worm turns..."
