PM sent, ball's in their court.

Considering the Fridge Logic of Kangaskhan, I figure the idea that they simply breed a lot (real female kangaroos are almost almost perpetually pregnant) and a little Gameplay and Story Segregation is a little more plausible than the twin sister thing.

About the Seedot article, according to Bulbapedia, all the wild Shiftry that have been seen in the wild were leading colonies of Seedots and Nuzleafs, rather than alone.

Surprise ;9, My avatar gets fed more (laughs)

Anyway, I'd like you to at least keep some of my elements for Kangaskhan, like how some of the "babies" are in fact underdeveloped twin sisters, and how they tend to gather in larger groups when food is plentiful, and how, rather like bears, they'd steal food from travellers.

That could work. I based the entry mostly off of kangaroos, but the Pokemon are a lot stronger and more intimidating than any 'roo. The whole body shape and Mama Bear aspect makes them more like kanga-bears.

EDIT: Done. And yes, 'mob' is the correct term for a group of kangaroos. Don't ask me why.

Alright I'm FINALLY going get started on the Regice article. But I'm having a bit of trouble thinking of some exclusive lore. Well, aside from one Hoennese legend about Regice ruling a world of Frost and Groudon crashing his world of Fire into it and destroying all of existence. Leaving only Rayquaza and a chosen few survivors to build a better world.

Sorry, I can't hear you from my FLYING METAL BOX!

...that might be getting a little silly.

The Regis seem to have relatively little lore compared to other legends, so it might be better to focus on the interesting physical aspects of them. Regirock has rocks from all over, Regice doesn't melt in lava, Registeel matches no known earth metal... they're all weird and that's story fodder.

You can probably say they've been caught and studied. If a legendary doesn't have enough myth behind it to make an entry, that's probably the best way to go about fleshing out an entry, even if you have to make a bit of stuff up like I did with Mewtwo. Hey, this is fanon after all.

You could say that it is believed that Regice and Articuno clashed over being the Avatar of Frost. Other than that I got nothing.

Actually a war over the Legendary Birds and Golems might not be to farfetched, Kanto and Johto both venerate the Trio of Birds while Hoenn and Sinnoh do the same with the Golems. With both of them the Trio was introduced the generation before their master was. It could gave even been a factor leading up to the prieviously mentioned Kanto-Hoenn War

Were the Regis venerated? From what I remember they were pretty unknown until relatively recently in-universe, and somewhere along the lines of ancient forgotten gods, held back by strange riddles lurking in ancient ruins, awakened by a foolhardy stranger... Ahem.

Considering Regigigas' backstory, you could have them as rough equivalents of the Titans.

Nincada Line

Morphs [Oak Catalog #]

Nincada [290]

Ninjask [291]

Shedinja [292]

Physical Descriptions

Nincada: Nincada is a small white insect that averages at 0.5 meters tall. It has a pair of small green wings on its back. Its hind legs are thin and white while its forelegs are brown and thick. It has black eyes with a single green iris. On its small pointed snout it has a pair of antenna that have a resemblance to whiskers. There are reports of golden-shelled Nincada but they are extremely rare.

Ninjask: Ninjask is a small insect that has a golden head and upper back, with most of the rest of its body being black, it averages at 0.8 meters tall. It has a black pattern on its upper back that resembles a face. It has a black stripe between the eyes and a golden ring near the bottom of its body. It has red eyes with red white pupils. It has large wings that are tipped with red. Grey arms extend from the thorax and there is a similar pair of legs on the abdomen but these are folded close to the body during flight. Like Nincada, there are reports of Ninjask with completely golden shell.

Shedinja: Shedinja is the shed shell of a Nincada just prior to evolution and as such looks extremely similar. Shedinja is 0.8 meters tall on average and in completely brown, with the abdomen being darker than the rest of the shell. It has empty eye sockets. Shedinja has a four short limbs where a Ninjask’s would be but are extremely short in comparison. It has a pair of tattered wings on it’s back. Between its wings there is a hole where the Ninjask escaped. The inside of a Shedinja is completely hollow. Above its head there is what appears to be a halo.

Notable Biology

Nincada: Nincada are almost completely blind since they live nearly exclusively underground, they instead use their highly sensitive antenna to sense it’s surroundings; incredibly this method seems to be more accurate than the eyesight it uses when it evolves. The wings on a Nincada’s back are nearly completely unusable only able to be used to make weak gusts of wind. Nincada are able to stay motionless for over ten years.

Ninjask: Ninjask are one of the fastest known Pokemon, so fast that they are can seem to be invisible when they are flying at their maximum speed. The distinctive cry of a Ninjask can cause a headache.

Shedinja: Shedinja is the shed shell of a Nincada just before evolution that is possessed by a spirit. A Shedinja is unable to physically move and as such levitates instead. Shedinja is able to render itself impervious to any damage that Bugs or Ghosts are not usually weak to but due to its weak body anything that can break through this wondrous guard will take it down.

Evolution

Ninjask: A Nincada will evolve into a Ninjask after a long period of feeding from underground, sometimes lasting over ten years. After this period the Nincada will dig upwards to the surface, molt its shell, emerge as a Ninjask and then fly away.

Shedinja: A Shedinja is formed when a Nincada molts and becomes a Ninjask, the shell it leaves behind is possessed by a powerful spirit embodying the emotion of loneliness or abandonment. If the Shedinja was formed by a wild Nincada, the Shedinja will sometimes follow and protect the Swarm of Ninjask or just leave and roam throughout the world. If the Shedinja was formed by the shell of a trained Nincada, the Shedinja will instead enter one of the Trainer’s pokeballs to help them, often to the Trainer’s surprise as they may not know about this trait of Nincada’s evolution and only discover the Shedinja when they try to catch a Pokemon with that Pokeball or return to a Pokecenter.

Habitat

Nincada: Nincada live underground near the roots of trees, only moving if it needs to find a new source of food. A Nincada’s eyes are to weak to withstand sunlight so they will usually travel underground or during the night to find a new tree.

Ninjask: Ninjask are nomadic creatures that will fly from area to area after they have fed all they can. When not flying Ninjask will typically roost in trees, often temporarily displacing native bird Pokemon.

Shedinja: Shedinja are solitary and sometimes follow the swarm of Ninjask or just roam the land.

Diet

Nincada: Nincada in the wild will exclusively eat from the roots of trees to absorb moisture and nutrients. Captive Nincada will most easily be cared for by allowing them to burrow underground for the night to eat from a tree, if this cannot be done Nincada can also eat from stored roots.

Ninjask: Ninjask will usually drink from the tree sap but if food is scarce they can swarm and devastate crops, this was seen as a bad omen in the past.

Shedinja: Shedinja are not living and do not require food.

Hazards

Nincada: Nincada are the least dangerous of their line as they are usually underground however if threatened and unable to retreat a Nincada’s claws are effective weapons and can easily maim or kill a human.

Ninjask: Like Nincada, Ninjask are typically not aggressive however if provoked, a swarm of Ninjask can cause fatal injuries also, the call of the Ninjask, if heard for to long, can cause headaches in humans and in severe cases loss of hearing.

Shedinja: Shedinja are the most dangerous of the line as they are immune to most sources of damage and as such are difficult to stop. Most Shedinja will not harm humans however, malevolent ones have a wide range of attacks they can use and have been thought to be the cause of the death of trainers before. The theory that looking into a Shedinja’s shell will cause it to steal your soul is merely an urban legend.

Courting and Childrearing

Ninjask: Ninjask breed when in the area they were born in, the males attract females by singing mating songs. After mating the female will deposit her eggs inside of a tree, usually around five hundred. After the eggs have been laid the Ninjask leave the area. After about two months the eggs will hatch and the Nincada will instinctively head towards the ground although many are often eaten by bird Pokemon before they reach the safety of the ground. After the Nincada burrow they will use their feelers to find a tree root and begin feeding.

Shedinja: Shedinja cannot breed in the wild but can provide a Ditto with the DNA necessary to form an egg in captivity.

Social Structure

Nincada: Nincada live alone, although more than one Nincada can feed from the same tree, they will not interact.

Ninjask: Ninjask live in swarms made up of Ninjask that were born in the same area as them, most Nincada evolve at the same time and so will form a swarm within a few days and leave to find new food sources.

Shedinja: Shedinja, like Nincada, are solitary Pokemon and do not interact with others.

The bullet point formatting of each entry just bugs me me. Also, there's a few run-on sentences.

other than that, not bad, though I woulds like a bit more elaboration on Shedinja. "possessed by a powerful spirit embodying the emotion of loneliness or abandonment" seems to be stretching the bounds of science, even for the Pokeverse.

I always envisioned it was something to do with Pokéball technology, and that it was just the exoskeleton (and a bit more) with enough nerves to process basic information.

^^ Took out the Bullet Points, I'm not quite sure why I put them there anyway. For Shedinja, I thought since it was a ghost type science didn't really apply as much anymore, I'll put any good alternatives in though.

^ But how would that explain the ghost type, or Wonder Guard.

wild mass guess: It's a ghost in the machine of the pokeball created by a glitch in pokeballs while updating their info from Nincada to Ninjask. Since pokeball tech essentially transfers matter into electrical information, the ghost absorbs the shed husk into the pokeball, then modifies the data to make it "alive" again. It's only vulnerable to it's weaknesses because it knows those are it's weaknesses and that it should be vulnerable to them. They're very unstable in the real world (1 hit point) because they're essentially an artificial digital construct that, unlike the Porygon line, didn't have gobs of time and money spent making sure it could function properly in our world. Why don't they fix this glitch? The Pokeball manufacturers keep saying that they can't find it in the code...

I'm still not convinced that the Pokéballs work on any sort of conversion-to-data system.

While the Pokémon world has many impressive technological achievements, from dynamically-supported airships to some form of 1:1 teleportation, casual mass-energy conversion with insignificant information loss has far wider-reaching implications. Why have coal mines and wind farms when you can E=MC^2 a couple passerby air molecules? Why have an ironworks when you can just scan an I-beam and duplicate the data?

The I-beam thing would get E=MC^2ed to death and back, wouldn't it? I mean, unless you have a nearly unlimited source of energy, you'd still need the raw materials from somewhere, and as far as I know we haven't seen any sign of being them able to significantly alter something while it's in data form, so it's not like they could just turn random objects into I-beams.

If they can transmit matter for teleportation purposes, then I don't see why they can't do it for storage purposes.

^^^ They don't have to manipulate the data; just copy it. They can get appropriate energy by deconstructing something of similar mass.

Also, it appears Pokéball-type objects go back a long way. Even if Apricorns are only in the last-century range, we have Pokémopolis, that stone Pokéball, and Aaron's staff to contend with.

^^ It's unclear what how the teleporters operate; it may be more of a spacial warp or psychic system than a fax system.

^That what I mean. They'd have to manipulate the data of the object they deconstruct in order to change it into something else, and we have no evidence they can do that.

And anyway, they'd still need a facility to keep the objects to be deconstructed and the completed I-beams in.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have stumbled across something in my Internet wanderings, a set of all the Pokémon from 1st Generation to 4th, all in stylised human forms, several of which are pretty elaborate or clever.

WARNING— While the material is not pornographic in nature, some of the outfits are risqué, and many first and pre-evolution forms are as young-looking as you would expect. In short, watch out for Lolis, and don't view this at work. Thank you.

Here it is.
