Troper Updates II, Part II

Well I had my last day of high school yesterday and I graduate in a week. Thank God I'm done with that.

How are you feeling now that you've accomplished it?

Relieved. I just want to go to college at this point.

Okay, scratch the thing I said earlier in the Insecurities thread. It wasn't quite as bad as I thought it would be.

Just got my Switch today! Gonna start my adventure with Eevee, but first I've got a digital drawing to finish.

Uuuugggghhh my RSI still isn't gone. At least I have a wrist brace for it now!

Holy shit. I did not expect a game titled "Deathgarden ™: BLOODHARVEST" to be real.

Seriously, it sounds like a Dork Age comic book conceived by Rob Liefeld.

I'm gonna have one more hospital visit this month to help out with my stomach/kidney bullshit.

Graduated high school yesterday. Thank God that's done with.

My keyboard no longer works. I am typing this with an on-screen keyboard.

I misread a forum page and thought somebody's relationship status was "my God, what have I done?" Which fits pretty well, really.

I am so tired. x_x

Here's what happened. My father has moved in with my sister and brother-in-law, and I spent a great majority of the day running around working and helping out with it. I just got home a half-hour ago.

I watched a couple of episodes of The Helpful Fox Senko-san, more out of convenience that it was on TV while eating dinner than anything else. Ironically, I found myself very uncomfortable while watching it. It was weird, I could tell it was a feel-good anime, but in the process of drawing out those warm fuzzy feelings there was this unconscious inhibition I could not shake. I spent that one hour restless and confused, and a half hour after that wondering why that was the case (I do have my theories).

Okay, so...

Today I finally had my kidney stone surgery which also got my stent out...and left me with another stent put in. I've been doing fine, just kinda tired and hungry since I was told not to eat or drink after midnight last night/before my surgery. Watched 5 episode of Jessica Jones' first season with my mom, which we quite liked.

Well, I say I've been fine, but not long after I retreated to my room a fire started in our dryer and after my mom failed to put it out with a fire extinguisher she called the fire department. They spent a while sorting everything out, and I'm happy to say that we're all alive and safe and our house is intact and nothing in any of our rooms are damaged. Only caveats are our dryer is fucked and my room, is apparently not ideal to sleep in tonight so I'm sleeping on our couch.

So yeah, this has been a helluva day. It could've been sooo much worse and I will cherish that fact.

I've also started working on my troper page. Keyword started.

Had relatives over, including a cousin I hadn't seen in years and her youngest kid.

Boy did I just have a stroke of good luck. The cup I was drinking my tea out of got a bit stuck to the plate, so I accidentally spilled some across my desk, and some of it got to my keyboard. Fortunately, I turned off my computer and unplugged it and blew my hair dryer over it and let it sit for a few minutes, so as you can tell, it's still working just fine. :) My good mental health day is back on track.

So guess who has a new headset with a functioning microphone?

Already brought this up on the little victories thread but my 2nd stent is finally out of me. I've been told to drink more water moving forward to keep things from going awry so I guess I'll be doing that.

Also, we should be getting Captain Marvel on Blu-ray in due time. Yay for movies that are better than Endgame!

Including metrics other than "number of frames Brie Larson is in".

Second day of orientation was a fucking nightmare. A train derailed at the stop I had to get off at and I took a shuttle to it. It took two and a half fucking hours for me to reach the college and then I was immediately called to pick classes.

This heat has to be the end of the world. I wonder whether I will be able to run around the wasteland with nothing but boots, a pair of speedos, football protectors and a machete before I keel over from a heatstroke.

My girlfriend's youngest nephew wanted to give me a card because in his mind, men with beards are dads and he wanted to make sure I got recognized.
