So I guess this is confirmation that Nero is the actual protagonist of Devil May Cry from now on.

DMC 5 was billed as the Grand Finale to the Sons of Sparda storyline. Which probably explains why one of the main arcs in the game is Dante and Vergil coming to terms with the aspects of themselves they hated (Dante fully accepting his demonic heritage by absorbing the Sparda and "V" showing Vergil the value of his humanity) and (thanks to Nero knocking some sense into them) coming to terms with each other.

Well Nero’s gonna have to start getting Devil Arms now.

He’s the MC after all.

....... Wait Devil Breakers are already made from demons so the ones like Ragtime are Devil Arms.

Alright heavily expand on the Devil Arms then.

So which demon did Nero have to slaughter for Sweet Surrender? I also find myself okay with Nero being the main protagonist moving forward. Itsuno did a fine job wrapping up the Sons of Sparda, and Nero’s actually likeable as a character. Now hopefully this means the ladies get more screentime and action outside of being badass ladies in distress.

Remember that this is just the Grand Finale of the Sons of Sparda.

We still have the Grandson of Sparda (a.k.a. Nero)

Or if Nero and Kyrie would have a child in the future, they could have a new game featuring the Great-Grandson of Sparda.

I saw you mention "Sweet Surrender" so it would imply Kyrie can finally yearn for Nero's... touch? So I tried to joke about continuing the Sparda lineage (A Resident Evil 2 meme about Chris and Leon reminded me of it)

Now that Uncle and Dad are trapped inside the underworld, I wonder how would Nero propel the story forward.

• Rescue the Sons of Sparda?
• Or like what I've said above, make the Great-Grandson of Sparda?

I'll reiterate this - have a female descendant of Dante's pop up and she's woohoo crazy pizza and tries to start a rivalry with Nero who isn't having any of it. She can keep a bunch of Dante's mechanics too.

Nah, has to be same generation. Otherwise, age differences creep in and you start wondering when did Dante have time to lay down some pipe (easiest slot is during his Tony Redgrave years).
