I know finding a SFW image for this trope might be challenging, but having "Bishie Syndrome" and drawing a character in cutesy Kawaisa anime style doesn't mean "Uke". There can be a fanart for Bastard Boyfriend rapist seme just as Moe.

I suggest the first two panels of this, but only half-seriously. :D

I'd just like to comment that I distinctly remember the current image being chosen here a while back. There's no way the relevant thread still exists, though.

Well, the OP's argument has merit anyway, IMO. Plus, I could've sworn the image on another page had a discussion about it, but the edit reasons implies a unilateral thing, so I don't necessarily trust individual memories when it comes to stuff like this. No offense. :)

I really don't have a problem with the current pic, especially if it was chosen in a previous thread.

Well, does anyone else remember a IP thread about this? Someone besides just one person speaking up would certainly lend weight.

If nothing else, we can find out why this was picked despite its shortcomings.

Yes. I do, I think we voted not picturable. It might be doable if we got some fan art like with Draco in Leather Pants.

There was a thread and that image was the one chosen. The thread was dumped in the only purge of Image Pickin, and it doesn't appear that there was a crowner. It was picked because it was the best one suggested If you can come up with good suggestions, by all means, let's find a better one, if there is a better one.

I do recall that it was pretty much agreed that for any page image to work it would have to be a two-parter; with the canon character and the uke-fied version. And it's specifically a fan-change, rather than the characterization being changed in canon.

It may be that there isn't a good page image out there.

The language is a bit poor form —though IC— and I don't know if it would be too long to use. However, I think this image is a little closer, maybe? [1]

I think this image does a good job of describing it. It's pretty self-explanatory, even without text.

They don't look like the same character.

Which is sort of the point?

Not really if they had specific characteristics like Idiot Hair or Antenna Hair then it would work.

It is the point, but they should still be recognizable as the same character. They look more like siblings than anything else.

The "Canon vs. Fanon" makes it clear what's going there...might be better to move that text or redo it somehow to make who is who even more direct. Another could be to get a pic of the character from the actual work and then do a collage with the Fanon version.

I guess the problem is they seem to be looking at each other. This makes a casual viewer to recognize both as being of the same universe, I guess.

A quick photoshop to invert their positions (so they would be no longer facing each other) and making the 'canonxfanon' more noticeable would work?

Anyway, I've seen the current image for the article in its original context, and I'm pretty sure it's not ukefication. It's just Chibi-Otacon, and it's part of a series with other MGS chibis.

Would this count? It's supposed to be Craig and Tweek from South Park.

I don't think they're iconic enough to work on their own.

And even if we had pictures of their normal appearance, the Only Six Faces thing makes it difficult to tell what they should look like. Plus..they're children.

Well, here's Craig and Tweek's default looks, respectively, and here's the pic that the fancy art is slashing off of.

That is not quite what the trope is most of the time. Its not flamboyantly gay its more badass —-> submissive.
