Oh, yeah. They'd never make a card that used two different counters. They don't even like using +1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters in the same set.

So the spell works because it doesn't remove "cannot be countered" from all spells until it resolves, and it's too late to counter it, but you might still want to specify all "other" spells to clarify?

Ah yea, it would be silly that is reads like it countered itself :P.

Since you don't typically throw multiple things on the stack and instead let them resolve before casting your next spell (at least you would if this was in the set), this would be good for stopping a bunch of triggered abilities that resulted from anything, countering a stack of upkeep or end of turn triggers, and of course countering spells that cannot be countered.

I'd think it would be easier to exile the spells (See:Mindbreak Trap) as that gets around even 'cannot be countered' restrictions. Like so.

  • Return target creature from your graveyard to the battlefield. Then put a creature token into play that is a copy of that creature. It gains Haste until end of turn. Exile it at end of turn.

  • Starting with you, each player may put an artifact, creature, enchantment or land with converted mana cost X or less into play from their library. Repeat this process until no one puts a card into play.

[up]Assuming you have some mana ramp (and that X can't be 0): suspend Green Sun's Hypergenesis for four mana turn 3, turn 6 pull all of your lands out of your library. That's at least 13-14 landfall triggers, which should be more than enough to win you the game on the spot.

[up]"Repeat this process until no one puts a card into play." As long as at least one player (you) puts a card onto the battlefield each round, it doesn't end. So your opponent can't stop it, all they can do is pull out every permanent they can, which probably won't help.
