I cast magic missile!
New theme music also a boxI haven't, but I can't imagine they'd pull it off well. To actually make the post-game playable with the realistic consequences of your actions would be a massive undertaking.
I missed the part where that's my problem. You'll be f-ing surprised by this one then.
The NCR is like Tim Taylor. We need more POWER!!Time flies.
Christ, hope we survive the nuclear apocalypse.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Don't worry, I recently got an ad for this interesting "vault" thing. Seems legit.
Same, like this Vault 21 sounds good.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Meh, I got a deal with some assholes in some mountains, something about immortality via preserving the brain via telescreen tanks, whatever that means.
That reminds me, I got this weird invitation in the mail. Something about an "Enclave" offering me a membership for some reason. Should I sign up?
(Just kidding. I'm Asian-American of Han Chinese descent, so they'd be more likely to put me in a gulag or a gas chamber.)

Disgusted, but not surprisedHmmm, what is everyone's favorite/preferred HUD color?
Amber is my favorite, and that's without going to mods. It just feels right.
Blue, but Amber is a good colour.
I feel like changing to colour to anything other then the default is weird
New theme music also a boxThe default is like a yellow, right? Seems fitting for the desert, never even thought about changing it.
Oh God! Natural light! The default. I change every OTHER Fallout's HUD to this color, it looks so good.
I mean I do find it curious that lot of people are now like "I always thought his writing was bad" At least I can be in "his writing was good, but I thought he was bit overrated and definitely had lot of stupid opinions" category ;P
But yeah, I'm not too terrible surprised when really cynical writers turn out to be cynical horrible people. Or when wannabe rockstar developers do "rockstar" things(aka try to use their reputation to sleep with people)

I don't think that's terribly relevant. People who write more light-hearted and fluffy stuff can turn out to be creeps just as easily.
I'd never gotten to experience much of Fallout but I played Planescape Torment a few months ago and really loved it, so my opinion of Avellone's writing was pretty high overall. I guess I'd gotten somewhat lucky in this regard since a lot of the people exposed in the wave since #Me Too! started have been people whose work I was either not that familiar with or super passionate about.
Warren Ellis stung for me mostly because Castlevania was a show that felt like a miracle (dark and gritty, adult, action-oriented show based on a mostly dead videogame franchise AND it's good), but Avellone has probably been the worst in that regard since PST became really special to me really quickly. I thought the worst about him was maybe his ego (though he seemed to cool down that in recent years) and some stupid shit he said a few years ago about it being possible to make "apolitical" stories.
I try to look at it in a more positive light now which is that with these horrible things exposed, it will eventually open up space for people whose work you will love just as much or even more, and there will be less of a chance for them to turn out to be creeps or at least they will be caught much sooner.

Is it shocking when positive optimistic writers tend to be horrible people then?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I find they're often Stepford Smiler types.
But no, I work for Grimdark Magazine. They're some of the biggest lovers of nihilism, grit, and horror around but all Perky Goth types for fantasy.
Author of The Rules of Supervillainy, Cthulhu Armageddon, and United States of Monsters. It's really fun talking to/reading stuff from Sawyer on a regular basis. You get neat little tidbits like this: https://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3439576&pagenumber=1025#lastpost "Ulysses was cut because his character VO literally would not fit on the disc. His dialogue node count was something like 2x or 3x higher than any other companion, including Cass, who had the second highest (hers was ~615 IIRC and I think Ulysses was... ~1500??). I genuinely consider "original" Ulysses being cut as a big loss for F:NV overall because Avellone's original critique was right: we needed a Legion-sympathetic companion.
During Pillars of Eternity's pre-production I established strict node count limits on companions for logistical and pacing reasons."
I mean. They could have speccd to have a second game disk.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youThat would cost more to manufacture and you know how Beth likes cutting corners
New theme music also a boxAhh, for what could have been. Would like to know what that dialogue entailed. Didn't realize so much of it had actually been written before being cut.
My Skyrim disk never installed anything. Just installed Steam and applied the purchase code. I had to download Skyrim.
