Personally, I found that "mortally challenged" joke funny.
As if The Legions of Hell would want to be inclusive when they're razing Earth.
Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...Watched the full stuff few times now. I just love how DOOM: Eternal is! I hope you can when using Super Shottie's meathook on an imp, to smash them around or against other demons, like a fleshy flail of a sort.
isn't that a continuation from Doom 2016's shady "excuses" by the corporation?
Secret SignatureIt's the same sort of stuff they did in the first game like "If you find yourself given the opportunity to be a sacrifice to a Titan in Hell, take that chance!" and "Why not get a satanic pentagram team tattoo to show your dedication to UAC?"
Yeah, it's basically UAC propoganda, which is obviously useless if any sane individual on Earth would just look around.
Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...The "mortally challenged" bit is kinda...yeah, but I LOVE the NPC interraction onboard the space station and by that I mean I love how there's no forced dialogue, every single worker there sees Doomguy and makes pains to stay the fuck out of his way and not speak tohim and when someone is in his path, he basically drags the bastard by the scruff of his neck (well, necklace key) to open a door and nicks a guard's gun with no complaint. Looks like Doomguy's gonna be the big Show, Don't Tell guy he was in the last game.
Guess Doomguy has the Crudible now, look like Samuel didn't get to swing it much.
I'm guessing the game opens up with Doom Slayer grabbing it back, and silently telling Hayden off for not realising that Argent Energy is still a bad idea.
Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...Imagine if the game began with Hayden going "fuck shit I completely fucked it up fuck fuck shits fuckshits" and immediately reawakens Doomguy and gives him the crucible to try to make up for it all.
Only problem with that is that Doomguy was deliberately teleported away from Earth and Mars because he couldn't risk Doomguy disrupting his operations now that the invasion had supposedly been dealt with.
Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...Well considering the invasion was far from thwarted, maybe Hayden ends up calling him back because WHOOPS
True. He knows how to use the tethering tech, after all.
Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...Maybe he starts off somewhere else and then Hayden calls him back and says "Yeah, I made a mistake, we need your help for something."
Well, Dewm did fine on Steam so I'm pretty sure abandoning Steam would be foolish. Besides, what if it becomes another Uplay or early Origin?
I doubt Bethesda would really do that. Aside from the Fallout 76 stuff, they're been pretty good with their marketing this time around for Eternal.
Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...I'm debating trading in my nearly-finished copy of Doom for my Xbone and then buying the Playstation version instead since I seem to be migrating stuff to my PS 4 more and more these days.
I like to imagine that Doom Slayer will have a prologue based on Thy Flesh Consumed, at the end of which some UAC personnel call him back because Hayden did a dumb.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!I personally love the idea of Hayden running to Doomguy for help early in the game screaming about how badly he fucked up.
On another note, though, I hope he becomes playable someday somehow. He is still pretty awesome.
Bleye knows Sabers. Some melee-focused chapter of Jayden with the Crucible, before realizing that he really needs Doomguy, could be an interesting prologue.

I really wish people would shut up about that stupid political correctness controversy.
Its tiresome seeing braindead clickbait youtubers constantly trying to get money off it.
Tbh, I'm not surprised that people are complaining about DOOM Eternal like that, since you-know-who complained about the 2016 game as soon as E3 2015's footage was unveiled. At this point, it's par for the course.
Spelunking through a Halo Ring is something else...Iām not complaining. In fact, the whole controversy just looks too off hand. I would rather not include any Reality Subtext in works like this one.
I feel that Crosses The Line Twice is in play here, as is What Do You Mean, It's Not Political?.
Your mileage may vary on where I am going on this.
Hilarious in Hindsight: I wonder if the devs are actually trying to stir a reaction from the extreme left as they did to the extreme right with Wolfenstein.

Wait a second: How on earth did I even get here?I am pro-PC and I think people in general are being really stupid about this. The joke to me was actually pretty amusing in a dark way and is very in character for the UAC whom in the first game basically told you to let the demons kill you.
From what I saw the pro-PC people whom made complaints about the joke were for the most part being pretty polite about it. It was an very small minority that were being all nasty about it.
Of course yet again the anti-PC/alt-right crowd will not stop reminding me that their boogeymen, aka the SJ Ws are trying to touch their precious games again. Youtube keeps recommending these braindead youtubers pushing this narrative and I am so sick and fucking tired of these overreactions.
Chrised, I just want to play DOOM Eternal cause it looks really fun and the world looks intriguing. Not all this political bullshit that these overblown hacks are trying to milk.
Feels like games became less about fun and more about politics that the gaming community in general will not shut up about.

Looks pretty nice, seems like the levels are a bit more open this time. It also seems like some people took offense with the "demons is an offensive word" joke? I think it's clear that joke is based on "Blackmail" Is Such an Ugly Word, last thing we need is a "are the developers of Cuphead closet racists" type of drama.
